This is my first time ever posting a review of a dog grooming salon and my dog is 8 years old. she had been to numerous groomers during her 8 years and absolutely hates, I mean hates to have her face touched by anyone! she also would come home and stay under the chair for 2 to 3 days after a grooming appt. But, at Ellie's she always her old self as soon as she sees us!!! Happy and excited to go home, of course, but she acts as though nothing happened. I make a point to drive to Ellie's which takes me a good 35 minutes, but Ellie make my dog feel safe (and beautiful too) and what dog owner wouldn't do everything possible for the pet they love. read more

I have an 18 month old lab who I normally bathed at Pet Value since they had a dog wash and I have a bad back. I found Ellies here on yelp and scheduled an appointment. My Vinny had a great time at the beauty parlor! I'll definitely be returning. Prices are fare and he got a bath, ears cleaned, nails clipped and his teeth brushed. He looks and smells marvelous!!! Staff was great, prompt and very sweet! We will definitely return the next time Vinny needs a bath. So convenient to the Shop Rite. Ellie rocks. I live 40 minutes from her location and I'm a total Karen about my dog I'm so picky and the dog groomers normally gives me anxiety. But I have none of it when I'm dropping my dog off with Ellie. The drive is 100% worth it. Highly highly recommend someone like her that actually cares about your dog and what you like. read more

My Lab is 15 and skittish so I was apprehensive about bringing her in but I am so happy I did. Phoenix was wagging her tail when we picked her up and I could not be happier. The girls noticed her ear infections and were gentle with her and a gave us the best advice they could. Plus they got her nails nice and short, maybe the for the first time in her life! I'm not one to leave reviews, but my dog will never be coming here again. I was new to the area and thought this would be a good groomer since it is close to my home. He was nervous to go in and I should have left with him. I returned and he was muzzled!!! He was petrified and was trying to take it off (rightfully). My dog has never bitten anyone or even showed teeth in his entire lifetime. The second I took the muzzle off myself he cowered into me. I left with a wet dog and was still charged full price and thrown coupons because they knew I was upset with what I saw. Every groomer or vet I have ever taken him to says he is a love bug. They had no patience or care with him in the least. I have never been so upset with what I saw in my whole life. read more

I brought my Great Pyrenees, Kai, for the very first time yesterday and I was beyond pleased by all Ellie and her crew has done. Kai dislikes baths and doing it on our own was a very difficult challenge with all the fur he has. In addition, Kai is a very timid dog around others so we were definitely a little afraid of leaving him alone as well at first. However, Ellie did not disappoint. When we picked up Kai, he was waiting patiently while the other dogs were being groomed and when we finally united, I was at a loss of words! He looked so clean and manicured.
