All he cares about is money. I was in a desperate situation and he knew it.. over $10,000 later,…read moreand he - did nothing for aggression issues - no obedience training. (My dog had been abused by his first owner. ) he said about marking - "oh thats a hard one" Really? And again no help or advice. He'd say, oh we got this and a another 5 days - perfect, that would do it. What a fool i was. Example - We had a session, that was supposed to be an hour. I knew I had to cut it short at the end. But the appointment started at 11:30, and Tom got there at 11:50, with no apology or offer to give me my money back. Approximately $83. A couple of other times I needed to cancel, and he bullied me into not cancelling. I cannot believe I gave him that much money . Thats all he cared about. His anger is a bit scary too. Never taught me what to do. When I would say to him, my dog is so reactive, he would say(if you can believe it), " well he doesn't do that here" ... for many behaviors, his response was the same, "well he doesn't do that with me..." Oh wait, yes... he did teach my dog to "walk w manners ". I was never even taught how and when to give him treats as reinforcement. What a joke. I would have preferred to burn the money instead. I failed because he failed. And walked away with nearly $11,000 of mine. I totally trusted him. I have found a REAL trainer who said that taking that kind if money from me was just wrong. I GOT NOTHING OUT OF IT BECAUSE HE GAVE ME NOTHING.

I do not recommend! When Tom first arrived, he asked my husband how we would like him to approach…read moreour dog. We didn't have an answer because WE"RE not the trainers! Tom made our dog's aggression worse by purposely setting her off by turning his back and wearing a hood. He didn't speak to our dog, and he made himself an altering presence by not showing his face to our dog. Before entering our house, Tom gave us no directions as to how to react to our dog's aggressive behavior. He didn't instruct us as to if we should interfere or not. I felt on edge because I didn't know what to do and I'm sure our dog felt my uneasiness. Tom snapped at me saying "Don't talk to her like that" for trying to calm down our dog which probably made her even more mad because now her owner is being spoken to harshly. Again, I didn't know what to do, he hadn't told us anything before entering our house. He was rude, kept talking poorly about her breeder and asking questions about her breeder that we didn't have answers to. Clearly stated that my husband and I couldn't afford the 3 week boarding and training that he does. He was just plain rude. His bottom line was that our "set-up" wasn't good for her and we most likely won't be able to handle her. After he left, our dog was so on edge, she was growling at night, barking at the windows, was staring at the spot he sat in, and she's never done these things before. My husband has spoken to two other dog trainers and they both said that a person should NEVER turn their back to a dog due to that heightening their aggression and fear. He most likely did this in order to increase his price due to her "aggression" that he caused. I've been texting with a different dog trainer and she has given more advice that has been working than he had given in an 80 minute session. My dog is workable and I see that through the training from the other trainer.

Luna is our stealthy introvert, a shy senior kitty who prefers hiding in dark corners and appearing only when the vibe feels right. Most sitters never even catch a glimpse of her. But somehow, Leanne not only spotted her, she connected with her. That alone deserves a medal. Our other cat is a full-time chaos goblin. Loud, opinionated, endlessly curious, and ready to test boundaries just for fun. Leanne kept up with their antics, gave them the attention they demand (on their terms, of course), and even managed to keep them entertained and out of too much trouble. We loved the daily updates, the photos, and the way Leanne really got each of our cats' unique quirks. It's rare to find a sitter who truly understands cats, especially when they're as weird and wonderful as ours. Leanne nailed it. Highly recommend for anyone whose pets come with character. Our main goals were to address poor manners when people came over (jumping/barking), poor leash manners (pulling/leading the walk/leash aggression for one of them), and all around general behavior training. We wanted, and needed, help to rectify these things before our son became truly mobile. We emailed Pat on a Friday night and he called the next day. We spoke for over an hour and he reassured us that things would be okay. We scheduled a training session for later that week and haven't looked back. He is an incredible teacher; he took the time to learn about our dogs, our family dynamic, and what our hopes were for the training sessions. He began teaching us right away and showed us how to get into the minds of our dogs. We are five sessions in and there has been such a vast improvement already. We are currently working on walking both dogs and pushing the stroller - a dream of mine - that is soon to be a reality. We genuinely look forward to each session and getting to hang with Pat. Our pack was definitely out of whack but Pat has been instrumental in teaching us how to teach our dogs and reframe our thinking. If you are looking for a no BS, honest, caring trainer/behaviorist, and you are willing to trust someone, and put in the time and work, look no further - he is definitely your guy. We cannot recommend him enough.
