I do not think that we can say enough good things about Beatrice and the crew from TAKA! We got our puppy Luna towards the beginging of Covid and (like most Covid pups) she is extremely shy and really uncomfortable around strangers. The team let us tag along for a few walks as we gradually got her comfortable around new people and her first furry friends. Before we knew it, Luna was rushing out the door and coming home with a smile on her face (literally...). Personally, I am uneasy giving someone keys to my apartment for any reason. After spending time with the crew on those introduction walks and hearing raving review from neighbors, Luna wasn't the only one feeling comfortable! I unexpectedly switched jobs when he was only about 12 weeks and they enthusiastically signed on to care for him with only 3 days notice! They are attentive, understanding and proactive on ensuring our dogs are cared for, in our absence. There were also several events that led to us asking TAKA to check on our pups, without notice. No longer wanted to post my positive glowing review from when BB and Paul began watching my cat who's pictured on this site. They use to send picture updates to me and then that fell off. Which isn't a big deal, but my last business trip they never showed up. My cat went 3 days without food. I came home to empty dishes and the money still on the table. I even texted the day before I came home to see if everything was ok. I saw the read receipt and still they never went to care for my cat. I was then lied to that a dramatic personal issue was forcing her to think about closing her business and how torn up she was about her personal issue that she neglected her job responsibilities. I was even compassionate about it even though my cat wasn't cared for. I saw her and her husband then walking dogs up the block from me and immediately asked for my key back. Hugely disappointed and would have forgiven honesty but an elaborate story and knowing my cat was home without food because I had proof of the read receipt is unacceptable. I've been using TAKA Dog Walk off and on for a while now, on an as-needed basis. Paul and Beatrice are friendly, caring, reliable, and extremely accommodating. Many times, something would come up and I would shoot them a text to request a last minute walk for my dogs, Dakota and Lexi. They've never disappointed me. As a police officer, I am very reluctant to allow access to my home to others when I am not home. Paul and Beatrice quickly earned my trust, not only with the care of my dogs, but with access to my home.
