There's no other place I would trust with my dog than FurryTales. While they are incredibly caring and friendly with their dogs, what makes them so great is that this is just an all-around honest business. On two different occasions we had to unexpectedly cancel our boarding session and other times we were delayed in dropping off our dog for daycare. They never once levied a cancellation fee or withheld a deposit from us; they just were very understanding about the situation and allowed us to cancel. It's very surprising to find an honest business these days and we're super happy they are the ones taking care of our dog! read more

We adopted a 5 year old Yorkshire Terrier rescue a few months ago He was so anxious on walks and had leash reactivity to people, dogs, mailboxes, anything. Our walks were stressful for both us and Walter. I started researching trainers and has a some preliminary discussions with a few people. Nothing really clicked. That is until we spoke to Amanda. Just minutes into our first conversation, we felt right at home with her. Amanda is kind, caring, upbeat and knowledgable. We set up a two hour training session. In that time, Amanda gave us some training exercises and we discussed board and train. We booked a 2 week board and train a few weeks later. During that time, Amanda and her amazing team had Walter going! Daily training sessions, pack walks, hikes, and doggy daycare. Amanda and Walter met up with us several times in our neighborhood for walks. We learned how to properly walk him (contrary to popular belief, walking a dog is not always intuitive!) and how to proactively look for his triggers. Amanda and her team sent pictures and videos while he was away. Since Walter has come home, we have continued our training. We also send Walter to weekly FurryTales doggy car care. And we are boarding Walter there when we go away. Walter's second home is Amanda and Daniele's home . If you decide to add a dog to your family, whether puppy or an older dog, I wholeheartedly recommend getting some training with FurryTales. The change in Walter in just 3 months has been incredible. We have enrolled our dog in every service they have to offer and with every one we are so happy with the result for each and every one. FurryTales offers options for online booking and payment for all of their serfices, and one of our favorite offerings is their transportation service to and from FurryTales HQ for daycare! (She is 1 years old now.) Not only are they extremely professional and reliable, but they care for your pup like they are their very own. Amanda, the owner of Furry Tail, is truly a "dog whisperer". When Ellie, my French Bulldog, first joined me in Hoboken she was extremely introverted, afraid of both dogs and people. She was also not house trained or used to walking on a leash. With Amanda's patience and love Ellie has blossomed! Amanda at FurryTalesNJ is Diesels new best friend! Diesel, like most of our furry friends, is always my top priority. My wife and I wanted Diesel to be present for our wedding, but in order to do so we needed help! Amanda not only watched Diesel the day of the wedding, she also brought him to the wedding (about 45 minutes from our home), they attended the ceremony, and the party, until it was time for Diesel to go home at which point Amanda took Diesel home and stayed with him at our house that night so he could be nice and comfortable at home! The FurryTales team is nothing short of spectacular. Whether it be Amanda, Megin or Bubba, I know my pup is always in good hands and well taken care of when I am away. In fact, whenever we run into them around Hoboken, Parker insists that we stop and say hello. FurryTales is also great at training and improving behavioral issues. Parker is a rescue and use to get severe anxiety on walks, specifically around cars and skateboards. Not great when you live in the city. These issues, however, have almost completely gone away with the help of FurryTales. Because of Amanda and her team Parker is a much happier pup and a delight to walk with. They have responded quickly to last minute requests and gone out of their way to ensure the physical and mental wellbeing of our border collie Kenzo. The people at FurryTales, and especially Amanda, thoroughly understand the psychology of dogs and puppies. This is why their work is so successful and quick. Not all training companies will be like this. I would say FurryTales is an absolute must for any new puppy owner if you live near enough. My puppy training was going okay on my own but the second Amanda walked through my door, my puppy transformed for the better and the behavior has stuck. I also gave my puppy to FurryTales for a week while out of the city and the constant photos and videos were very comforting. They even continued some basic training which I wasn't expecting at all. My puppy was truly treated like a member of the family and came back a calmer and more confident dog. They provide this service for the same price as a typical "dog spa" which is unbelievable. We love the services provided by FurryTales. All the training, walks and dog care are accompanied by patient understanding of dogs, their needs, and owners' needs as well. We learned a lot about how to train both our dogs, and are very comfortable entrusting the care of our dogs to Amanda and her team. Amanda is INCREDIBLE! She completely changed our relationship with our 1-year-old rescue, Bosco, for the better. Over the course of our 3 months of working with her, she taught us how to more effectively communicate with Bosco. Before hiring Amanda, Bosco was a leash puller and had developed leash reactivity. I could barely walk him more than a few blocks. Spending time with him outside became something that I no longer looked forward to and made me fearful. Now, we're back to enjoying long walks around town and in new parks and neighborhoods! He now walks calmly and past other dogs and it's been such a relief that he and I are BOTH less anxious outside and able to have fun together! We're even making so progress on recall and Bosco will hopefully soon be able to enjoy off-leash activities, like the beach! She was so patient with us and with Bosco and she gradually introduced new training methods and equipment so Bosco's needs would be met. We were referred to FurryTales by a friend after our previous cat sitter moved away. Having recently adopted our new cat, we needed someone to look after him while we were away for a week.
