Luna and Zivah
Brenda B.

Ramella's Canine Academy is an exceptional establishment for dog training and development. I have 2 Cavaliers (Luna- 15 months old and Zivah 9 months) both with totally different temperaments. With Ramella's extensive knowledge and expertise in canine behavior, she provides top-notch training programs for my dogs especially for Zivah, who suffers from anxiety. Ramella was able to advise on how to work with the different temperaments and created a customized training program specifically tailored to address my dog's anxiety issues. What sets Ramella apart is her compassionate, patient and follow through approach to training. She took the time to get to know my dogs and understands the root causes of Zivah's anxiety. She provided me with the tools and techniques to manage Zivah's anxiety while also taking into account Luna's calm temperament. It's been 2 weeks and I have seen a significant improvement in Zivah's overall temperament, demeanor and behavior already! Ramella and I have weekly check-ins to ensure the girls are on track and if there are any adjustments to be made with their training program. I cannot recommend Ramella's Canine Academy enough for anyone dealing with dogs with different temperaments or any dog who's suffers from anxiety. Her expertise, understanding, and dedication to helping dogs overcome anxiety make her the perfect choice for acquiring her dog training services . Thanks to Ramella's, my Cavaliers are happier, and Zivah is a more confident dog. We will continue to work with Ramella and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have her in our lives.

One Happy Pack!!!

I have known Ramella for 10 years and she has worked with all three of my dogs and most recently a fourth puppy that was added to the pack. She is hands down the best Trainor for all life stages but that is just beginning of what Ramella does. Some people get a pup home and really don't know how to properly manage their time, feeding, play and training but mostly some of us don't know the proper ways to cultivate and nurture an amazing relationship with our furbabies. It comes so naturally to Ramella and she will help you take the bond you have with your furbaby to the next level! She truly understands what animals need, what they are saying and what they are showing you with their body language. Of course she does all the basic obedience but her talents go so far beyond that. She has helped acclimate my pack to one another and most recently to the newest edition. If you are lucky enough to live in her pick up/drop off area I strongly suggest you try her daycare where she will take them on a hike in addition to being socialized. I found her in home training hands over paws above the others! Ramella takes the time and works with you observing necessary corrections until you get it right. I remember she used to park across the street and observe me as I would walk Benjamin (my lab) in order to see how well I was doing with him in between our sessions. Our dogs are companions...they are family and they want to please us! Ramella will meet you where you are at both mentally and physically and help you form the bond of a lifetime with your babies. I would give her 10 stars if I could. The service she provides is just not offered by most. Try her and you will understand what I mean and your family and furbabies will be forever grateful you did!

Ramella came to my house this past Sunday, we were worried about our dog not going to the bathroom outside and a few other issues. Ramella gave us tough love and really taught us what this puppy needed! Now our Kali only goes to the bathroom outside and we couldn't be prouder! Ramella really worked her magic and explained exactly what was going on in Kalis head. Thanks Ramella!

After working with Ramella and putting her suggestions in place, Mishti is much more eager for playtime and is all smiles!

We adopted an 8 year-old dog and we were told by the adoption agency that she got along with everyone except other dogs because she wasn't socialized as a pup. Whenever we went on walks, she was a very strong puller and was very unfocused. And in the home, she would get very anxious due to people walking in the hallway. After working with Ramella for just one session and some follow-up calls/texts, our dog is much more disciplined on walks and has far less anxiety when in the home and on walks and even when encountering other pets. We took Ramella's suggestion of using a Thundershirt with her at home and have given her more boundaries and she has really taken to it. She is outwardly more happy and affectionate. On walks, Mishti is much more calm thanks to the Gentle Leader that Ramella recommended. Ramella also helped with our dog's diet and we've seen some great results getting Mishti up to more fitting weight for her size. We are very glad we've found Ramella and are looking forward to continuing to work with her to make Mishti's quality of life even better!

We recently had a scary encounter between our pup and the neighbor's dog. I immediately found Ramella and called her for intervention. She was quick to respond and spent almost 4 hours in/around our home, helping us to understand why the incident occurred and how to help our sweet pupper get back on track. She left us with steps to take to ensure our dog is happy, healthy and thriving in our home and I will be fur-ever thankful.

I'm a brand new puppy mom and didn't realize the amount of work and training involved in raising good polite dogs. I was very overwhelmed by the process and not confident that I was doing what was best for my new puppy. A friend referred me to Ramella and I'm very glad I made the call. Ramella was able to come in and let me bombard her with all my questions and concerns. She saw how overwhelmed I was and was able to to put my mind at ease by complimenting me on what I had done right and giving me a strategy on what needed improvement. Ramella also takes time out of her day to check up on us every now and then to make sure we're doing ok and to see if any new questions come up. I'm very grateful to Ramella!

The team is incredibly warm, attentive, and truly passionate about dogs. They don't just watch your dog... they get to know them, love them, and treat them like family. Kim and her Team are rockstars. My pup used to be anxious and reserved around new people and dogs, but since coming to Doggie Shrink, I've seen a complete transformation. He's more confident, better socialized, and genuinely excited every time we pull up to the building...tail wagging, ready to play! The facility is spotless, safe, and thoughtfully designed for enrichment, fun, and relaxation. Whether it's playgroups, one-on-one attention, or quiet time when needed, they tailor the experience to each dog's personality and needs. I also love the regular updates, photos, and honest communication ...it gives me such peace of mind knowing my dog is in the best hands. This review reflects my firsthand, fully documented experience with KSDT…read more I enrolled my pet here for playcare and socialization back in August 2023, when he was a puppy, through November 2025 (he is now 2). These were the exact services I paid for, and from day one I made it clear that the entire purpose of bringing him here was for him to socialize with other dogs, not sit alone at home while I worked. I have spent thousands of dollars at this facility since 2023 on training and care. Not once was I told of any behavioral concern during that time -- unless I brought something up myself from home. Never once did they raise an issue based on his behavior in their facility. I recently learned that my pet has been spending roughly 90% of his day crated, interacting only with staff and no other dogs, and this was done without my knowledge or consent. There was no explanation, no disclosure, and no communication whatsoever. When I questioned this, staff refused to answer the actual question and instead said KSDT was "no longer the right fit." They then insisted I had been "told," which is directly contradicted by my written communications. Tell me why anyone would pay for playcare if their dog is going to be crated all day -- when he could be at home on the couch, with water, space, toys, and comfort for free. For three months, I attempted to schedule training and was passed between staff repeatedly. There was no functioning scheduling process, no clarity, and no accountability. When I asked the most basic question: "What exactly does my pet do while in your care?" I received no real answer. Only runaround, deflection, and attempts to place blame onto me rather than simply telling me what their paid service consisted of. As a paying client, this level of evasiveness was alarming and suggested something was being avoided. When I sought transparency, I was refused access to my pet's records, refused training notes and invoices I paid for, and the owner's email was withheld until I stated I would escalate the matter further. Only then was it provided. Shortly after raising these concerns, my entire client account was deleted, instantly removing all access to my pet's history, notes, and prior information. The timing speaks for itself. After I was no longer a client, the General Manager - who had my number solely for business purposes, used my personal phone number to send unsolicited, hostile, mocking, and retaliatory messages about my private email to the owner. One of her direct quotes was: "I cared for your dog all weekend while you obviously had better things to do than be with him." Sending a message like this to someone who is no longer a client is egregious, blatantly unprofessional, and far outside any acceptable standard of business conduct. I paid for boarding services, and she voluntarily took my pet home. If performing standard duties is viewed as a burden or a reason to shame clients, then this is not the appropriate field of work. Considering I was later informed my pet spent most of his time crated, I am left with serious concerns about what "caring for him all weekend" actually meant. ****Pet owners: be cautious about who you entrust with your dog. If you take a trip or use their boarding services, be prepared for it to be weaponized against you later.**** When I reviewed public Google reviews, I found multiple reports describing similar concerns, including pets being kept crated for extended periods without owners being informed. My experience aligns closely with those publicly posted complaints. I am sharing so pet owners know what they are risking. My trust was taken advantage of, my concerns ignored and my pet's care mishandled. NO ONE should discover that when it is already to late.
