She takes great pride in her business and loves each dog as if they are her own! The staff is fantastic as well! Unfortunately I have moved, so Layla can no longer come here (waaahhh!!! I cannot find a decent replacement and tried to convince Jodi to open up a 2nd location in Bergen County!) I'm writing this to warn every pet parent: do NOT leave your dog at this boarding facility. My recent experience was horrifying and heartbreaking. Animal Neglect They left my dog completely alone for over 24 hours -- no check-ins, no response to calls, texts, emails, or messages for 3+ days. I only knew something was wrong because I have an AirTag on her collar, and it showed "last seen" as 15-24 hours ago. Out of desperation, I had to pay a friend to do a welfare check. He waited hours before someone even showed up. Their excuse? They "lost the work phone." No apology. No concern. Just complete irresponsibility. When I finally picked up my dog, she was underweight, starving, and developed hot spots all over her body -- which she has never had before. Price Scams and Deceit They tried to charge double for one night of boarding, claiming one night equals two -- even though past receipts and their own website clearly state a 24-hour stay is one night. When I showed old receipts, the owner/manager admitted "those were employee mistakes" and refused to honor them. They also increased the price of a mandatory bath from the quoted $45 to $100, after the fact. Her nails weren't even trimmed, as promised. When we disputed the bait-and-switch, the manager began yelling and demanding more money. We threatened to call the police, and only then did they finally charge the correct amount. Final Warning This business is being run by new owners who are disorganized, disrespectful, and dangerous. They appear to have no insurance, and the area where dogs sleep is alarming and unsafe. My poor dog suffered -- and I'm sharing this so yours doesn't have to.

The app is super easy to use, but doesn't lack a personal touch. Ashley came over to meet with us before assigning us a walker, and even helped us find a local vet. Pictures are sent from each walk and on days we work from home but keep appointments, our dog is genuinely happy to see his walkers! Our dog has skin issues and can be fussy in bad weather but they're always patient and give him play time. 11/10 would recommend.

My dog Ben was staying at the Fairfield location when my worst nightmare as a pet parent was unraveling. I am traveling for work and am across the country, not set to return until later in the week. Outside of the heroism of the first responders, humane society and good samaritans, I cannot say enough about K9 resort's personnel as well as policy/procedures in place. Friends and family always inquire why I opt to pay to board Ben while I travel. This incident answered that inquiry in and of itself. Your emergency plan went into effect and was implemented with the outcome we all desire for live saving events. So not only do I know my Ben will be happy,loved and well cared for while staying at the facility, he will be rescued should an emergency erupt, which in this scenario seemed to be unpredictable and to no fault of anyone. After hearing that my Ben was ok and survived, the care did not stop there. Being a panic stricken fur mom from thousands of miles away, the staff could not have been more understanding and patient with my calls, questions and emails. They were so kind and reassuring with the ability to answer every single question I had while tears in my eyes on the other end of the phone trying to keep my composure. I applaud you as the leaders of this corporation for instilling this professionalism and compassion down your hierarchy. I sent pastries to the Fairfield PD, as well as the Fanwood location and made a donation to Fairfield Fire. Please reach out to me if I can do anything from here forward to honor the K9 personnel from that night and who continue to treat my boy, as well as me, as if they know how much my dog means to me. We've tried several trainers and boarding facilities in various cities and states. We even resorted to trying a famous YouTube trainer and he came back worse and even more anxious. Typically, these expensive "board and trains" we've participated in have ended with medication recommendations and a "good luck". One final trainer recommended we try Mind Of Dog because she also wasn't able to break through. I'm so grateful we did. He's thriving and comes home exhausted. An added bonus is the people training we've received. The best part of all of it, is that he's finally getting the exercise and structure he's always needed and deserves. They handle the dogs calmly, but with lots of structure and clear boundaries, which our dog desperately needs. We can finally go to work and travel without worrying that he's being mishandled or ignored. We're so grateful to have found this place and I have to admit, I was waiting for him to fail again, because we had lost all hope.
