I have been going to Ellie for my eyebrows for few years now. In the past, I have always done waxing for my eyebrows and she was the first I tried for threading. She's the sole reason why I prefer threading over waxing now, and the only person I'll probably go to for it. I went to her with a referral from both my sisters (who also both regularly go to Ellie). I know I could relay on her to make my eyebrows look clean and not over- threaded. She always asks me before threading if I want just a cleaning or an arch, and I am always happy with the result. Upon entering the shop, she is always so sweet and welcoming, and will always make it known to you that she appreciates your business with her. The place is clean and sanitary, and is the best priced threading I've come to find so far (please do note that this business is **CASH ONLY**) Only main downside that I could think of is that Ellie is the only person in the shop who threads. I would definitely call before going to make sure that she is there and that the shop is open. If there is no answer, it is highly likely that she's not open for the day. Also, if you come on a busy day, you may have to wait a little while before receiving services.. She takes around 5 minutes per person. I would suggest coming in at non-peak hours. I heard that busy times are usually on Friday and Saturday mornings. Afternoons after 4 PM, and during the weekdays, are usually slower and a good time to go. Another upside of coming at slow times is that Ellie will not have to feel as rushed and will spend extra time threading. I also like that she has a rewards card- if you accumulate 10 visits, you get a threading for free! I definitely would recommend her services to anyone looking for a good threading! read more

If you have nothing else other than good eyebrows, then you already have all you need! I've been to Ellie's a few times but she's become my go to eyebrow place. As a native of Whittier, I've been to the other places it has to offer and no one has kept me consistently happy like Ellie. At first, I was worried because my eyebrows didn't come out as sleek as they would on a good day but she assured me that she kept eyebrows thick, and after 3-4 visits I noticed my eyebrows were thicker! She had been leaving a little more than I would've liked, but it in the end it paid off because they were thicker than they had been in years. Ellie is great at helping your eyebrows look the best! But don't go to her if you are looking for a quick fix. She will ask you to grow them out for a while before you can see the final product. Her prices are great so that's why I didn't mind going back to her every 3-4 wks for a quick clean up.
