Birthday girl had a great time exploring, playing and eating. The team were so easy to work with from the email correspondence on my Cinnamoroll themed table vision to day of set up. The staff were super quick & accommodating when they were assisting me with the set up. They helped me string up and put a HBD banner and set up my little one's high chair and way more like help bring stuff in, stock the drink fridge, set out the pastries, etc. They just knew what to do & did it straight away. I was amazed by the speed and professionalism! If only I had this level of set up at every birthday party. Barely any dictation or answering questions was needed. What a hugeeee lift off the mental load! There's a dedicated drink fridge in front of the register that kept our drinks chilled and easy for guests to grab. The food table is nice and long so it held a lot of food & we had A LOTT of food. We opted for the photo package too which was nice because usually being the host means you're too busy to take photos and get photos taken of your family. Overall, I highly recommend this place for your little one's special event! I only wish that this place was bigger so that we could invite more friends to our event. However, being smaller means more intimate events and those who are invited should feel super blessed and lucky to have made the cut!

My bf wanted to do docent-led tour, but unfortunately we showed up shortly after they closed on that Saturday afternoon (they closed at noon). We walked along the outer perimeter of the estate - hoping to get some photos, but there were some people taking photos at the front of the house, so we ended up leaving. This review is for my recent experience at the pottery studio…read more I was ostracized when I confronted a hypocritical and nosy Karen over her instigating criticism on my clean-up. I calmly told her that "If you criticize my clean up, you have to clean it for me." My polite way to ask her to mind her own business. She went berserk and told me off to the studio guy E, accusing me of being rude while she was the one who crossed my boundary. Being a poor mediator, the guy sided with her without investigating. That was because he spied on my clean up in the past too, which was uncool! It made me uneased. I felt picked on. His behavior of one-sidedly consoling the bully, instead of remaining neutral was off putting. There's a constitutional right of "freedom of movement " that no one shall obstruct your free choice. I was glad I stood up for myself. Clay, no matter how careful you are with, will be inevitably left a few traces in the sink, and it is not a big deal. Everyone does it and everyone has his/her way of cleaning. No need to nitpick and be pathetic. To be bullied and snitched by someone who thinks she has the right to tell others what to do is disheartening. Pottery making shall be a peaceful time to create without being disturbed. To instruct people what to do as if acting as a social warrior puts a damper on freedom and creativity. They should put a sign next to the sink, that reads, "Please mind your own business when cleaning, as people like to be left alone." The entire community center is funded by tax payers' dollars, government-operated meaning it's run differently than privately-owned ones, and is more authoritarian in my opinion. As a paying customer, I'd like to access to my creative outlet without being disturbed yet my experience was tarnished by busybody commie control freak and a biased worker. I don't meddle with other's business and others should not meddle with mine. I also found some of their instructors controlling. They need to respect personal autonomy. Clean up is a very personal thing. If everyone does exactly the same thing, they can move to North Korea. It was a dissapointing experience. Move on to other options for my creative pursuit.

I'm sure it bothers the residents that live near by but what can they expect when living next to a public park? Inside has running water & electricity. Very convenient! We came by on a Wednesday night and enjoyed some delicious cocktails along with amazing service. Not only did the bartenders help guests sitting at the bar, but they walked around checking on everyone in the lounge seating, and showed that they cared about the customer experience. They messed up on the first pair of drinks we ordered, but comped our second set of cocktails which they made ten times better. We really appreciated this. Adding to our lovely evening, the live music created just the right vibe. Mike Annuzzi, who plays here weekly, showcased some incredible talent on the guitar and vocals, performing great tunes including a jazzy rendition of Michael Jackson's Human Nature, Fly Me to the Moon, as well as some Richard Marx, Now and Forever. Sometimes we take good music for granted, but I don't want to forget the simple moments that create smiles. W XYZ in Sunnyvale features not just an awesome musician, but an excellent sound system too, with suitable volume and clarity, to go along with soothing melodies that ease your mind. She also rented a nearby building Santa Clara Players for additional restrooms. Only thoughtful event organizer would think ahead of people when they have to go. Just by walking around, Jamison Brown House has so many artistic elements for photography projects. Like posing a bride or graduate on the porch with the railing. Or, bride and groom holding hands walking down the wooden stairs. Oh, better yet, have kids looking through the beveled glass window with curious expression. The website has a list of criteria for caterers, permits and discount for Santa Clara residents. It's a good idea to come out to check out Jamison Brown House for your next venue.

The house also has very strict rules with respect to what gets onto the walls and how far our furniture needs to be away from the walls etc. In addition to all this, there was a bad smell emanating from the kitchen. In spite of all these issues and the cost, we had an amazing time. Our guests loved the venue. Our party was on a warm summer evening and it couldn't have been better. We used the outdoor area for seating and not the house and it was truly magical.

We have literally had wedding planning conversations past 1 AM. She was always there when I needed her and somehow never made me feel like I was bothering her. She doesn't just tell you what you want to hear--she tells you what she genuinely thinks will work best. Every single vendor she recommended to us was AMAZING, and I quickly learned that when Sushie recommended someone, I could trust her. The craziest part is that I truly did not feel stressed planning my wedding. People would constantly ask me, "How's wedding planning? Are you stressed?" and my answer was always that it was honestly a breeze. We had basically finished planning our wedding almost a YEAR early, and that is completely because of Sushie. And our wedding was NOT simple. We had a lot going on--tons of decor, multiple vendors, entertainment, lighting, lasers, a photo booth, and so many different elements that all needed to fit and work together in one space. Sushie figured out ALL of it. Blanco Urban is essentially a blank canvas, and she completely transformed it. She figured out the floor plan, where all of our vendors and installations would go, how guests would move through the space, and how everything would transition throughout the night. Even when we kept adding things, she somehow found a way to make everything work without the venue ever feeling crowded or chaotic. That was one of the things I appreciated most about having her. I could tell her an idea, and I didn't have to worry about figuring out HOW to execute it. She would take it, think through all the logistics, coordinate with the right people, and make it happen. She took so many separate ideas in my head and turned them into one beautiful, cohesive wedding. She also handled all of our vendor coordination. We had so many people involved in making our wedding happen, but I never felt like I was the one managing them. I honestly don't even know what problems or questions probably came up behind the scenes because Sushie handled everything before it ever reached me--which is EXACTLY what you want from your wedding planner. She understood my vision perfectly. I wanted something beautiful and elegant that would completely transform once the lights went down into a lit, euphoric party--and she absolutely NAILED IT. Everything from the decor and layout to the music, lighting, vendors, and overall flow of the night came together perfectly. On our wedding day, I didn't have to think about setup, timelines, vendors, or what was supposed to happen next. I got to focus on myself, my husband, our friends and family, and actually ENJOY the day. I wasn't a bride AND a wedding planner that day. I was just the bride. I cannot thank Sushie enough for giving us the BEST day of our lives.
