Just attended a company event yesterday and we were so pleased with the experience. Not only is this place beautiful but the staff all had such a great sense of humor and kept us all entertained the whole day. My son had a blast playing all the games they had for them. Had an amazing time at this venue for a company event on Sunday morning to evening! We arrived here around 10:45 am to set up for an appreciation event, and we ended up parking at the wrong lot. I managed to find someone, Jenna, who pointed me to the right direction. She was a lifesaver since I had some people with me in which walking far distances isn't as accessible. Once we are all on the venue, we were focused on setting up decorations. Jenna came in super strong with lifting hay bales and everything for our western themed party. While setting up, Denise gave me a quick run down of what's being served; their menu catered to everyone from meat eaters, picky eaters, and vegetarians. The venue itself is beautiful to walk in to breathe in natural air, see horses, and play a variety of games from ping pong, basketball, horse shoe, or bean bag toss, and they even offer face painting for the kids and adults too. Their bathrooms are impeccably clean and well managed. Their team did so well in serving the guests of the event! Shoutout to Nancy for being so nice and extra welcoming to the guests when serving them food. Despite the warmth, the event was a success because of the great staff and team at Coyote Ranch. I love this place! This beautiful Ranch is located between San Jose and Morgan Hill in it's own little town of Coyote. This gorgeous Ranch has been owned by the same family since the sixties and when you're there they treat you like family too. This is the perfect place for a wedding, company party, family reunion or just to feel like a good ol' cowgirl/boy. The grounds are beautiful and the food is awesome! They have a lot of fun activities to do when you set up parties. I have been coming here every year for about 12 years now and will keep on coming as long as they let me. read more

Came here over the weekend for a company picnic and never had heard of it after living in San Jose for so long! Very spacious, there were several other parties going on, and parking was easy. Men on horses were leading the way. The food was pretty good, tri tip, chicken, tater salad. Bathrooms were clean, staff all very friendly. The only con is there were yellow jackets everywhere by the soda/water machine, which I know it's not their fault, but very difficult to get drinks. Their sangria was also super tasty! read more

Since the business owner responded below, I would like to provide some counterpoints to their inaccuracies. 1) There were 2 people on horseback that were literally escorting cars one by one to their parking spots. When I say "letting one car in a minute", it was not an exaggeration. Each rider met one car at the entrance of the parking lot, then had us "follow them" to the first open spot, then they rode back to the entrance to retrieve the next car waiting their turn. Who has time for that when there are hundreds of cars waiting?? Your math is off, because I assume you didn't account for the fact that the first 500+ cars that arrived early came in more quickly since all the parking lots were wide open. As the lots began to fill, the cars had to wait longer, and you decided that the novelty of Horse Valets (aka "Pony Express") was more important than efficiency. Our company event was scheduled for 3 hours. I had the unfortunate luck of arriving in the car line 30 minutes after it started, and by the time we finally made it in after the tedious long hot wait, we barely had any time left to enjoy ourselves. 2) Your venue has its own dedicated road. The back up went all the way to the main road -- with a long line of cars all waiting to turn in. There was no interference from "another event up the hill", as traffic flowed freely on the straight-moving lanes. 3) We've had many company events with thousands of attendees every year at different venues. Saratoga Springs, Levi's Stadium, etc. Parking was never a problem before. In every situation, they have parking attendants safely standing at each turning point, directing traffic with hand gestures which way to go, and everyone driving continues forward until the first empty spot and parks themself. It's not rocket science. And it doesn't have to be as hard as you made it out to be. Your venue was indeed nice, so it's too bad many of us didn't get to enjoy it. Please do better. read more

Just had our wedding here a week ago, after 2 years of waiting and planning due to Covid. The venue is beautiful, with rolling green pasture, a barn in the back that we loved for pictures, and nice landscape. No doubt our wedding day was great, but it definitely came with a lot of surprise extra add-ons to get it customized to our liking. We also got charged $3000 for cancelling our original wedding date and rescheduling it. On top of that, I had to then pay the "new price fee" for food, which was originally included in our venue package. But since I cancelled and rescheduled for 2022, I had to pay for food as well. It started to feel like this venue was trying to make up for losses due to Covid. I couldn't believe they wouldn't "grandfather" me in and not charge me for food, as was our original contract. There are extra fees to have someone cut your wedding cake, chairs for either ceremony (normally offer bench seating), or upgraded chairs in reception, add on appetizers for a fee, if you want to use real dinnerware (they offer paper plates and plastic utensils), and more. We also had to provide our own plates, napkins, utensils for the cake. There was a lot of miscommunication and lack of response when I would email or call (and usually left a few messages). I understand they do several events, but sometimes it would take weeks to hear back and get an answer. I spoke with Cindy who was great, Michelle was often not available and seemed out of the loop on our wedding, and Troy who was on-site coordinator for our wedding and honestly did a great job. But the poor communication made it more difficult to plan our wedding. They went back and forth about offering us a cottage for the bridal party to get ready (it was mentioned at time we booked in 2020, but told it was no longer available), and then they offered it to us a week before our wedding after I asked where we could change our baby during the wedding since they did not have a changing table in the bathrooms. It was a HUGE relief because we really needed a space for our baby to rest if she needed it and the ease of having a space onsite for the bridal party to get ready. I just wished they would not have offered at the last minute (additional fee too). We also provided our own table cloths, linen napkins (because we wanted it to look elegant), and obviously decor. They give 2 hours for decorating prior to event. This venue is not an easy place to plan a wedding. While it's a beautiful space, it was stressful and a lot of back and forth to plan. read more

I held my annual event for my church here this year, what a wonderful warm place with fantastic staff to cater to our every need. It was an evening event and the ranch's beauty in this little patch of heaven is incomparable. The sunset with palm trees takes you somewhere else, almost tropical. The food was served on time and the BBQ was some of the best I've had. Having a background in Texas I was happy to get some great tri-tip and chicken cooked to perfection, made me feel right back at home. Steve, Michelle and Troy met all my needs and dreams of having the perfect event this year for our group! They were welcoming and stayed in contact for all my needs and questions. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience. Most importantly the staff worked fast and efficiently to make sure the area and bathrooms stayed clean and at the end of the night looked as If we had just showed up. What a hidden gem that everyone needs to know about. I got married here 10.10.20 and couldn't be more thankful that I did. Cindy and Michelle are such sweethearts and go out of their way to make your day perfect. The venue is perfect for that shabby rustic look. Lots of trees and lush green lawns. At sunset it's perfect for the golden hour photos. It also has beautiful hanging lights and being able to use real candles make it feel very romantic. It is very helpful that they handle the food, bar, and clean up. The sangria is a must try! So glad I got married here and would do it all over again if I could. We just had a work party here; beautiful location and the food was excellent. Many guests exclaimed that they'd return for future functions as it was so lovely. My husband stumbled upon Coyote Ranch on a bicycle ride, came home, and said, "I think I know where we are going to have our wedding." After months of searching for the elusive "affordable, rustic venue in the Bay Area," we had our wedding here last August. With our first anniversary quickly approaching and as we look at our wedding photos, we are so happy that we chose this venue. Here are the highlights: 1. The ambience/decorations: The venue has many things included such as market lights, lanterns, a bonfire pit with blankets, and lawn games. My husband and I really wanted a rustic feel for our wedding, and Coyote Ranch definitely delivers that. This venue allowed us to be creative and really make it our own. Best Day Ever! When we decided to get married we sat down and talked about what our perfect day would look like. We knew we wanted our family and friends without limiting the number of guests, we wanted to be outside, surrounded by trees and nature, we wanted a casual feel but yet still a touch of sophistication and rustic charm, we had hoped to incorporate our favorites including a taco vendor who has been part of our love story. We had our wedding here earlier this year. Affordable wedding venues are tough to come by in the Bay Area, and Coyote Ranch still stands out by still allowing a joyous event to happen here at reasonable cost without much price gouging. Pros -- beautiful site with a real historic house on site, barns, flowering plants and trees, old fashioned carriage, and well maintained lawns (in spite of the drought, you'll still have grass), we fell in love immediately with the atmosphere. I wanted a low-key event that reminded me of my small-town childhood, and this was definitely it. Campfire area for your wedding!! While there's a dance floor like any wedding venue, my guests loved hanging out by the campfire and roasting marshmallows. We like chilling more than dancing. Price can't be beat for a wedding of this theme, not too far from civilization and accessible location near the 101 with a few hotels 3 miles away. It was one of the most affordable venues I got a quote from (I probably talked to at least 20 in the local area and Sac town), including other comparably rustic / outdoorsy places (i.e. Saratoga Springs, Roaring Railroads in SC), and your guests won't need to meander drunk out of mountain roads for a somewhat secluded outdoor experience. Catering (all u can eat bbq with sides) and beer / wine (no hard liquor hosting, but all-u-can-drink) is part of the price which is a lifesaver. No frivolous cake cutting fee. They are ok with sparkler sendoffs in designated locations. In these respects, they are super flexible compared to other venues. Wedding coordinator is pretty open to discussing things in person, or letting you visit the site when events are not ongoing. These discussions clarified a lot of questions. She also helped us broker some rentals (i.e. chairs, heaters) to be split with a wedding party the night before, which was much appreciated. No cleanup fee and they'll take the garbage out / sweep the site (however, removal of all decorations / floral is up to you). Cons -- Planning some things got lost in translation, it seemed. From the start, some aspects of our contract got changed over several email exchanges and had to go through several reminders. While it was great that they were flexible about minor changes and adjustments to their requirements and offers, some of these things were somewhat ambiguous, particularly on how things we brought in were presented, as it would be a reflection of their work, which is a reasonable request. When we signed the contract, we were told that we could have our own appetizers there, as long as they were presented in a way that represented their catering (although, tough to say what parts of the wedding are whose work since some decorations, cake, floral and etc were not from by the venue) and left to self-serve. A month before the wedding, we were informed that we needed to hire licensed staff to supervise it, or order the appetizers from them. To simplify things, we ended up ordering from their selection, but my parents were somewhat disappointed at the lack of any cuisine reflecting our culture and ethnicity on an important day of our lives. Availability of fridge space was also ambiguous for additional beer we purchased and the cake, but fortunately our wedding was on a pretty cold day and our cake did not need refrigeration. Lastly, we had some issues with the setup time prior to the wedding. A few weeks before our wedding, an event got booked to end 2 hours before our wedding (i.e. at the start of the latest setup time promised on our contract and 1 hour before our photographer was booked to start shooting the decorated site and the wedding party), which led to a great deal of anxiety since those of us in the wedding party were also doing setup / decorating ourselves, and I was not informed of this until after I specifically asked to confirm setup time. I had told them that the wedding party was doing the setup in several previous communications, but finally, it was suggested that we hire others to setup since "it wasn't a good idea" to have the wedding party do it. We did end up hiring people at the last minute and moving up our makeup appointment so we could all be present to help out in the last hour, but then the event booked prior to our wedding got canceled so we got to set up at the normal time -- thank goodness because cleaning up the prior event / the setup of the wedding would have been tough in 1-2 hours. As the epilogue, the wedding did actually go off without a hitch and everything worked according to our timetable, so props for the actual outcome. Everybody had plenty to eat and drink, and the site was beautifully maintained and we all had a great night. If anything could be improved, it would be clear communication on available utilities and policies -- happy to oblige but knowing earlier in advance would have helped us in the planning process. read more

My husband and I just had our wedding at the beginning of June and we loved how everything look that evening. We planned our wedding over a year and a half and Michelle and Troy were very helpful if we had questions they usually get right back to us. They let us come by as many times as we want and go over things that we had concerns about. It was also nice having the rehearsal the Friday before the wedding day. my husband's company hosted their annual summer picnic here last month. i'd never been here before, but it was quite a trek from rwc (thank goodness there wasn't any traffic on sat morning!) this venue is HUGE!! tons of parking adjacent to the ranch, lots of "ground" for carnival rides, games, food & bev vendors, etc. i actually felt like i was at a carnival that day! there was also a children's petting zoo, suitable for big kids like me b/c i enjoyed petting the pigs, goats, and chickens (well, the chickens were a little too fast for me). they also had horse-drawn hay rides that could accommodate at least 20+ people. i think this was the perfect venue for a company function that allowed employees to bring their spouses and children; most children really enjoyed the carnival games and rides. it was very very hot that day (well into the 90s) but that's summertime in south sj for ya! read more

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Coyote Ranch in October 2018. We cannot express enough gratitude towards Michelle and all of the wonderful staff that put our wedding together. The venue is stunning! It felt like we were in a garden fairytale. The draping greenery and flowers around make for such a beautiful setting. Everything from to the dance floor, to the wonderfully crafted wood seating around the fireplace was shear perfection. (Our guests especially enjoyed the fireplace and could not say enough good things about this venue!!) Not only is this an incredible venue but the people running it are one of a kind. Our original venue canceled on us 24hr before our ceremony was supposed to start (true story...). After reaching out to Michelle with our predicament, she reopened Coyote Ranch and welcomed us with open arms without hesitation. She even filled in as bartender after our caterers left for the night!! This was the most spectacular surprise venue we could have hoped for. We attended an event held at this place over the weekend and we were disgustingly disappointed by the way the staff handled the electrical issues in the bathroom! The event took place dinnertime. The place was poorly lit, the bathrooms had an electrical shortage, apparently something went wrong with the circuit breaker. I and all of us who used the bathroom were surprised to see that it was totally dark inside. Some were fortunate to bring their cell phones and use their flashlights but mostly walked in and out in the dark. Here's the worst part, I sat down on the toilet and something touched my right thigh! As soon as I was done, I flagged someone with a phone flash light to see what was touching my skin, it was an overflowing trash can next to the toilet bowl!!!! I wanted to scream! With probably 300-500 people in attendance, the bathroom was never cleaned or checked! Disgusting! Over an hour later as the event was winding down, I flagged down a lady cleaning up to tell her about the bathroom situation. She was the first staff member I saw the whole night. She said they're trying to do their best to find an electrician. She said with the band and photo booth, electrical overload in the bathroom could be expected! Just because of the band and a photo booth? C'mon! Such lame excuse! She said she was the owner and she was born there and has lived there all her life, if that was so, she shouldn't have a problem finding an electrician if they were looking for one. She went on to say that there were 5,000 people there the night before and they had no power problem. But there was that night and they should have handled the situation better! For an event place this big, you'd expect that they're better prepared to handle foreseeable problems such as this. Maybe have a staff member hold a flashlight or a candle to light the 2 bathrooms or anything!! Just do something! Whether 50 or 5000 paying customers, you never leave your customers use the bathroom in the dark for a minute, let alone the whole night! Yuck! read more

I went here for a company event on Oct 1, 2008. I thought it was just ok. These are the Easy directions to get there from Milpitas area: 880 S 101 S Exit Bailey Ave - turn Rt (West) Monterey Rd - turn Rt (north) - go approx. 1/2 mi Coyote Ranch Rd - turn Rt Park in the FREE dirt parking lot on the Rt Lunch was serve on time: 12 noon - 1:30pm in the Pepper Tree Area. We ordered chicken or veggie burger. I got the chicken which was 1/4 chicken - leg & breast. It was ok, and I drowned it in bbq sauce. Sides were: green salad w/ dressing on the side (just ok), potato salad (average), chili (kinda bland, lots of chunks of tomato), garlic bread (No garlic taste, just maybe butter?) ice cream bars for dessert - just cheap-o ice-cream sandwiches Cool N Classy brand w/ vanilla flavored ice cream & chocolate flavored wafers (mushy) - 3.5 fl oz. Tiny & not good. other one was from Cool N Classy Orange naturally flavored frozen juice bar 2.25 fl oz. - tiny, maybe a tiny bit better than the ice-cream sandwich. I ate both though. Drinks: soda from soda fountain, flavored iced tea, & water. NO Alcohol allowed. Popcorn in a different area was available for us. I didn't try it. No Pets allowed. Games: gunnysack race, water balloon toss, tug-of-war, ski race game, dunk tank, volleyball, & ping pong tables. No petting zoo or pony rides - maybe we didn't have the money for it. Don't know. Overall, I thought it was better than WORK, but won't go on my own. read more

Follow the useful little signs to the end of the road to reach Coyote Ranch, a quaint, rustic, woodsy, and lovely venue. I attended a wedding here in mid-October and the weather and lighting/sunset were perfect. Clean, spacious, beautiful. The parking lot is dirt/rock and a lot of the venue is grassy, so I would advise against wearing your tallest, pointiest high heels. Lots of space to park though. read more

All the greenery, the lights, the firepit, the adirondack chairs, the chandelier in the wine leaves over the dance floor, etc etc etc.... all give such a warm and magical feel to the event. Gave us good solid ideas on what works there and all her suggestions were spot on. Both brides said the event far exceeded their expectations, and truly was the 'best day of their life'. We had a Celebration of Life back in mid October 2022. We found Coyote Ranch through a friend who was doing research for where we should hold the event. I've been fighting a rare form of terminal Cancer for 13'years and at this point I was at my "End Stage". Instead of a funeral, I wanted to celebrate my life with Family and Friends. The theme was, "Come Laugh and Dance the night away with me".. We had about 200 guest respond and started the process with the help of Michelle and Tory who were always there with any questions we had. Since it was mid October, one of worries was the weather. We still went for an outside location on the property as history as shown that it should be a nice warm night. Unfortunately, the forecast showed rain and winds that wouldn't allow us to have a comfortable event. We received a call from Michele and Tory stating that we can move the event into their barn where they only have used it twice for their families weddings. It was Friday, the day before the event. When we walked into the barn we realized it was a HUGE upgrade. Their teams got to work and cleaned, set-up tables, made sure electrical could handle our friends band and our teams got to work making the barn into something amazing. They didn't ask for more funds, but helped us ensure that this event would happen on time. It was one of the best nights of my life and couldn't have happened without the help and guidance of their team. The feedback that we received was over the top with many friends and family calling the night magical. Thank you to the owners and workers who made this event happen. read more

For my wedding September 2013: The venue was wonderful as was the food. The on site coordinator for the venue, on the other hand, wasn't so much.. We were trying to take photos, when the venue coordinator came over and told me we needed to eat. I told her that we were busy with photos and would be over in a few moments (6pm wedding, the sun was setting and we needed the light). She came over again, more aggressively, saying that we needed to eat NOW. We finally went over and ate a bit so we could take more pictures after. Also, we told her what time we wanted to eat. She pushed it up 30 minutes earlier. For about an hour, everything was great. Then, while I was talking to a few guests, she came over and said that we needed to do the bouquet/garter toss (mind you, she was not my coordinator; she was the venue coordinator making sure nothing went wrong with the venue). Went ahead and did those. She did the same thing when it came to the cake cutting as well! Seriously? We had a song list that was set up so we knew when to do certain things. My mother-in-law had a list of everything, too. My favorite fail was the toasting... My mother-in-law bought our favorite champagne for our toast (just the bridal party and us were going to have it - pretty pricey). She told the staff and the venue coordinator that, too. The coordinator gave orders for the staff to pour the champagne for our guests. I'm glad that our guests enjoyed it, but she came up to me saying that her staff made the mistake of giving it to the guests (my relatives told me later on that she told them to pour it even after one said it was for the bridal party only). At least offer us something since you guys screwed up. Overall: Beautiful venue Awesome food Horrible lead coordinator Suggestion to the owner: Do NOT have your coordinator bother or become aggressive to the bride or groom (he never even saw her once, she just kept coming to me) on their wedding day. Have them talk to someone else, like - oh I don't know - maybe the person we told her to talk to if there were issues or anything. For future wedding people: Make sure they follow what is agreed upon no matter who you speak to and actually work with. We had another coordinator when we first signed in 2012 who was awesome, but she left and a new one came in changing everything we spoke about without telling us and we had some heated talks. read more

The (now) husband and I got hitched at Coyote Ranch in August 2012 and we loved it! The venue is so laid back, we were able to have our dog, our drunk friends, and all the wine and beer we could consume (which was a lot). The venue was beautiful and Coyote Ranch let us do pretty much whatever we want. My favorite thing was NO HIDDEN FEES!!! I've got a great mixture of very talented friends, one made my wedding cake, another provided customized wine and others made a dessert table. Other venues wanted to charge me a cake cutting fee, corkage fee and said I could not bring in a dessert table. I wasn't having my friends make all these things to cheap out, it was their gift to me and husband. When I asked Coyote if I could bring my own wine they said "of course, but we ask that our bartenders server it". I asked how much that would be, reponse "What? No. That's their job, there's no cost". Hot damn! I knew we had a winner when I heard that. If you're looking for a fun, relaxed and beautiful venue head on over to Coyote Ranch in Morgan Hill. My husband and I were here for a friend's wedding a month ago. The venue was huge so they were able to hold 3-4 weddings at the same time in different areas of the venue. There were many servers catering to the guest and they were all polite and helpful. The only thing that I was not find of was when my husband and I walked back to the parking area. It was pitch black and no lights where lit. We both had to use our cell phones and find our car. Besides that, it's a nice venue and the food was good, especially their brisket. read more

Coyote Ranch did a phenomenal job with our wedding!!! So accommodating and laid back. Cindy, the coordinator, was totally professional and as experienced as they come. Given they hold many simultaneous large events every weekend they've got it down to a science. We toured the site on many occasions to plan our design and the staff was always welcoming, including the dogs and the cat! The owner and her daughter are the sweetest women ever!! No hidden fees, they were very forthcoming with what you could and could not do, and what they were willing to do and not do, service wise. Beautiful location for a rustic wedding, GREAT BBQ, friendly staff. It was perfect. We left a bunch of items behind after the wedding and were able to recover everything, including extra bottles of alcohol we bought and some sentimental antique serving items that I thought for sure would be lost in the shuffle. Just had the extreme displeasure to meet the manager of Coyote Ranch, Amy Monahan. We were dropping my daughter off for a party and this person, started screaming at us and threaten us with no provocation whatsoever. I don't know how the food is, but the hospitality is inexistent. We were screamed at, harassed and mistreated because this crazy manager decided our coming into the property was not ok. There was no sign whatsoever saying you could not enter. She argued we could ran over kids. We were going super slow in my van and I am not blind, so the whole thing felt like she was having a bad day and decided to scream at her costumers to alleviate her bad temper. My advice, stay away or this witch will come haunt you. read more

Had a great time here. Super fun with the ponies, petting zoo, jumpy jumps and games. It is very spacious, and you can hang out all day and not get bored. There are grills, and fridges and a great set up for any event. I didn't even know it was there, but I loved it. read more

I cannot rave ENOUGH about this place! Hopefully this review will do justice at just how impressed we are with this place. My husband (fiance at the time) and I knew we wanted to get married at an outdoor venue, preferably a ranch setting. It was my mother who told me about Coyote Ranch, as she remembered what an awesome time she had 25 years ago at a company picnic there. We first had a tour of the venue by Chryle, who graciously answered our millions of questions. I was so impressed by how open they were to anything we wanted to do - and even seemed really excited about my ideas! The price was perfect and in our price range, and we loved that the price included food, drinks, beer, and wine. They do require a minimum of 125 people, and although we only had 115 on our guest list, it freed us up to not have to worry about inviting more people later on. Halfway through the planning process, we started working with Michelle Lybbert (who I think is related to the family who owns the property), who I also cannot rave enough about. A couple weeks before our wedding, Michelle confided in me about a seriously ill family member and I was blown away at how on top of things she still was. Her professionalism never faltered, and if she couldn't meet with me to discuss something, she had her amazing back-up Chryle stand-in. Another aspect of the ranch that impressed me were all the hard-working maintenance workers who were working late hours to make sure the venue was perfect since our wedding was one of the first events of the season. They completely remodeled all the bathrooms, put a lot of work into their beautiful landscape, and finished other aesthetic aspects within a month's time. The transformation was incredible. On the day of our wedding, we were blown away with all the help the ranch provided. I had brought about 9-10 family members to help set-up, and when we pulled up, they had an additional 10+ staff members available to help us cart our decorations, dresses, and other assorted wedding items to the wedding site. {Not sure what the previous reviewer was talking about - the staff were VERY helpful!} They helped us set-up decorations, move tables, and Michelle was also able to find additional decorations from around the ranch that made our ceremony and reception look AMAZING! I continuously had staff members come up to me as we were decorating, asking what they could do to help. Throughout the wedding, the staff continued to supply more than needed assistance. They even passed out wedding cake slices to our guests! The food almost deserves its own reviews. I cannot tell you how many guests I had that came up to us later to rave about how delicious all the food was - especially the tri-tip and fruit salad. {The Italians in our family loved the tortellinis added to the fruit salad!} I just wish I wasn't running on so much adrenaline so I could have sat down and enjoyed it! My husband, on the other hand, wolfed down two plates and was wishing he had brought some tupperware and tinfoil for leftovers. I feel like I am missing something and will probably add something later, but I cannot express how thankful we are that we found Coyote Ranch and all the staff that far surpassed any expectations that we had. We have had so many guests tell us what an awesome time they had, and I know a large part of that is due to the ranch staff. The only thing that I think they need to improve on is their weather control. Despite being the end of May, it was unusually chilly and most of our poor guests had to spend some time in front of the large bonfire the staff had lit. So if Coyote Ranch could work on their ability to control the weather, then their venue would be beyond PERFECT! ;) read more

Totally use this venue. Booked a 35 year reunion and we all had a blast. All inclusive ordering available, food was great, bonfire, stage at Peppertree accommodated our band perfectly. They can handle huge groups or intimate affairs. Owners (whom I'd not met before the event) were wonderful, personable, and all the staff were really helpful. The entire ranch is beautiful! I like that they cemented the dance floor sometime in the last 5 years since our 30th reunion. Highly recommend this venue, it's as good as it gets!!! I came here for a company event and had an absolute blast! The food was great and all the staff members here were awesome and very sweet. The petting zoo animals are adorable and really amusing. Later in the night, someone didn't close the gate properly and all the goats and sheep escaped and were running around, which made all the little kids who at the ranch squeal (mostly with happiness). One of the border collies at the ranch, who is used to herding animals, took it upon himself to chase down all the goats, which was really cute. In the end, all the people who work here ended up hunting down all the animals and putting them back in the pen, and thankfully, no one got hurt. Aside from that, they also have pony rides, ping pong tables, bean bag toss stuff, and hay rides! They also had music playing throughout the night, a magician, and tried to teach everyone to line dance. tl;dr: I would definitely come back! The atmosphere of the ranch is really wonderful, and is definitely helped by all of the cheery people who work here. read more

I had my wedding here on 9/7/2012, and it couldn't have been better. Everything was well organized, planned out and executed. I visited Coyote several times, and every time I was welcomed with a smile. Even when I showed up a few times just to wander with a friend, no one was worried, and just said to ask if we had any questions. We had meetings 2 weeks before the wedding to finalize all of our details, and get a few more questions ironed out. I was amazed at this place, they NEVER said no to any request, and they were always making suggestions and asking the right questions about what we wanted. They were so very sweet. The day of the wedding went perfectly. Not only was the food great, the service was amazing, and they went even further than I expected with extra plants, beautiful flower arrangements, and extra candles arranged on wine barrels. All of my guests have come back to us and our family, saying how beautiful Coyote was, and how much fun they had. If we ever have a big event again, we're absolutely going to book it here. Coyote Ranch is a fantastic venue for a large group. I hosted a company picnic here for about 500 people and we all had a great time. The coordinators were helpful and accommodating and offered us several options for food, beverages and activities. The food was delicious and plentiful. After lunch the staff were great about engaging the team in activities. Everyone had a very good time and the office was buzzing with stories from the event for days afterwards. Even though the weather was hot on the day of our event, there are plenty of shaded areas to keep everyone comfortable. We will definitely use Coyote Ranch again. read more

I DJed at a wedding here in few months ago in September. The place was pretty close off the freeway and easy to find. The entrance is very nice with palm trees on the side. Parking is plentiful in the open dirt. Inside, there is a nice area for dining and dancing. Also a grass field, which was very nice for the ceremony. The staff was pretty accommodating. Even though the event was outdoors, there was no restriction to the sound level since there were no neighbors nearby. One less thing to worry about. read more

Came here for a company event just this last weekend; and i must say that I'm really impressed with the place. First off; it was really easy to get to. If you have the app, Waze; it's spot on. Parking is awesome. LOTS of parking space on a dirt road. So.. you might not want to come after a prestine detail job on your car. And since we're talking dirt roads; the ground is made up of grass; or loose gravel or sand or some rock whatever. SO.. wear appropriate footwear... Those expensive 5-inch loubs you got aint for this property. You'll scratch it pretty easily. Back to our company picnic; i was sort of part of the team that organized our company picnic..so i was able to explore the place earlier without the crowd... They have a pony carousel! like a LIVE one.. They also have a petting zoo; some face painting area; bocce ball, horseshoe, volleyball courts, soccer, softball,...etc.... Pretty semi-scattered areas which made people explore the area and not be confined and bored being just around the picnic tables. Food wise; it was decent. We had Salad, Potato Salad, Tri-Tip or Chicken; and hotdogs for kids and garlic bread or buns.... And there was open bar for beer, wine and Sangria... They hosted a lot of games and activities for the kids and adults to enjoy.. We got really good feedback for the place too. I was there for a company picnic. I had a great time. The food (bbq) was excellent and they accommodated vegetarians. Lots of things to do for most everyone. I enjoyed the soccer field and volleyball courts. They had games setup like a carinval and face painting etc. The staff there was excellent, some recognizing us from last year. Easy parking." We had our company picnic here, and I thought it was a good venue. The space was large, with plenty of both shade and sun - something for everyone. The food was good, hosted games were a great time. we also splurged and got the rock climbing wall, which was a big hit with our crowd! a few suggestions to the operators - bigger cups for drinks, and spoons for the ranch beans would be nice. the kids' area didn't all open when they said, so that was disappointing. But all in all, a good time. I'd go back. read more
