Didn't have too many people there that day so we practically had the place to ourselves. I had the chicken fried chicken. He had the meatloaf we got appetizers of brisket, stuffed jalapeño poppers, and fried pickles. So much food! We ended up having enough to save for dinner that night lol!

Their menu is average sized with apps, a senior menu, kids menu, salads, burgers/sandwiches, pastas, entrees and desserts. They also have a happy hour menu with specials ranging from $1 - $9. They even have cocktails with Power Plant themed names. I was in the mood for steak and unfortunately this town seems to be void of steaks for some reason; however, the Power Plant offers one on their menu. I chose a steak with green beans and mashed potatoes. They indicated the steak of the day was a ribeye, but I've never seen a ribeye shaped like this before, it was long and skinny like a skirt steak, or a strip. Ribeye - tender for the most part and tasty. Almost tasted like a flat iron steak, but somehow this was actually a ribeye despite its unusual shape. Long piece of gristle across one entire side and fat cap at the end. This 12oz steak was more like 9 oz after removing all of that. Green beans - basic canned beans with several bacon chunks Mashed potatoes- chunky with brown gravy. The bread that comes with this is basically 2 ends of a griddled hot dog bun. Service was ok as the waitress came around a couple of times to check on me. She forgot to ask me how I wanted the steak cooked, and also came back to tell me she originally gave me the wrong price for it. It ended up being around $25, as opposed to $22 as she originally indicated. I also added a homemade brownie with ice cream to go. This was a pretty average brownie dessert.

We walked in at around 4:35 and we were seated immediately - no mean feat for a group of 7. Brianna, our waitress, was absolutely superb. Attentive and helpful, and the food was delicious. Their fried onion starter is spectacular - imagine how good Jim's onions used to be, but there were even better. Fried to perfection and seasoned perfectly. Delicious fried mozzarella made an excellent accompaniment. Washed down with a tall Shiner blonde? Don't mind if I do. I had a New York strip (rare) with sweet potato fries (hot and delicious, shoestring cut and well seasoned), wife had a chicken fried steak (huge and delicious - move over Little Red Barn) with mashed potatoes and gravy. I also opted to top my steak with garlic butter and mushrooms and they added a perfect extra hit of flavor. All in, I think our bill, including my daughter's patty melt, two sweet teas, and my two beers - always expensive but so worth it - came to around a hundred bucks. Honestly worth every penny. Great ambiance, great service, great staff, and a delicious meal. Can't wait to return!

The good: The beer selection was solid, and the cucumber margarita was genuinely delicious. The not-so-good: * Wedge Salad: The salad itself was fine, but the highlight--bacon--was extremely sparse. Six tiny squares were placed on the edge of the plate, which felt oddly rationed and not nearly enough to enjoy throughout the salad. * Mussels: This was the most concerning dish. We expected mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce, but instead received them in a buttery yellow-orange sauce with a very unpleasant odor. The smell was not "fishy" but something far more off-putting--honestly resembling manure. I've worked in the restaurant industry for years and don't send food back lightly, but this was not normal. The server said the smell was typical, suggesting vinegar may have made it "pungent." Ultimately, the manager told us we still needed to pay for the dish, which we did without argument, though the experience was disappointing. * Shrimp Appetizer: It was fine, but nothing memorable or worth raving about. * Burger: The patty was overcooked, the bun was dry, and the fries ended up being the best part--crispy and greasy. Overall, we were hoping for a much better experience. While the drinks were enjoyable, the food quality and response to legitimate concerns left a lot to be desired.

We were seated right away (Friday night - 645pm). There were quite a few tables full, however, the noise was very minimal. The service was absolutely exceptional (just husband and wife as servers this evening). We ordered the Mozarella sticks as an appetizer (son's favorite app), a 14" pepperoni pizza, chicken parmesan, and chicken piccata. The food was out SUPER fast, and cooked to perfection. The rolls were amazing as well, hot & fresh! Our son didn't want to stop eating the pizza, however he finally did so he wouldn't be "uncomfortable" (which is fine with me so we can have the leftovers). My husband and I finished our dishes leaving nothing to bring home from them. The portion sizes were absolutely perfect on both mine and my husbands dishes. Definitely worth the price without question. If you're looking for some tasty Italian food and excellent service, his is your spot. Lint let its location/exterior deter you. Definitely a hidden gem.
