Just for ease, the banquet hall is located on the east side of River Road. Very easy and close to I-294. Close to the airport if that helps. It was a luncheon served family style which I personally like as one is able to select their own food and as much or little as they want. They served a beef dish, chicken dish, and pierogi for main dish selections. Tasty, ample and no complaints. The hall was roomy and clean and the servers were very pleasant. I did not go up to the second floor but it looked like there were smaller event rooms up there. Plenty of on site parking and valet was not needed. I am not sure if that service is even offered.

She over charged me by $100, my sister by $131 and my brother by $142. We called her out on it and she proceeded to argue with us saying she was right. We had to do the math in front of her four different times because each time she would go back to change the bill it was wrong still. I was so fed up and couldn't find a manager. I asked for the tip to be removed or reduced because of it and I was told no. Then on top of it they charge you a 5% fee to use credit card. It's not posted anywhere not do they inform you when making a reservation. Over all it was a waste of time a horrible experience. Not sure if they thought we were stupid because we were the only other non Polish/ukraine family there but never ever again. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COST.

She helped coordinate the event and made updates as we were constantly making changes to the floor plan. She was easy to work with, and made sure that everything was documented. Friends and family raved about the food and the drinks, I would definitely work with them again for future events. Thanks for making our night so special!

I've been to two different events here at the Ritz. The venue itself is beautiful, food is good,…read more but SOME staff need to learn basic customer service and manners. The first event I attended a server was upset that there were so many guests (some dressed in ball gowns) that she started complaining that she can't do her job. OUT LOUD while serving guests their food. The second event I've attended, our server who is very sweet, simply forgot four plates for the main course at our table. We waited very patiently but she was busy. We waived one server, she said that they will make their way around. We waited more and our server didn't come back with the plates. I'd like to mention that all the food for the main course was on the table. I just stood by the door to only ask for plates since we've been waiting. The first server brushed me off and didn't let me finish my sentence and said "ask your waitress okay?" , another guest at my table asked a different server and she went to the kitchen just to come back empty handed to look at the table that's missing plates when it's clear that they're missing. I told her we're missing four plates and she's says "I KNOW", used a calm down gesture and shook her head at me. They took so long with plates that one of the guests at the table just ended up using the saucer plate to start eating. As I said earlier, SOME staff need improvement. I wish the servers had name tags.

I attended a fundraising event for The Harbour at Chateau Ritz in Niles. Nestled among the strip…read moremalls and chain restaurants, the Chateau Ritz sits back off the street and has a lot of parking. The theme of the evening was a casino night. The decor of Chateau Ritz is glam, over the top, a little outdated, but totally appropriate for a fundraising event. The room was spacious with plenty of space for the tables, auction tables, casino tables, stage, etc. The hot hors d'oeuvres were served hot, basic but good tasting, there was an attractive array of desserts, staff was efficient in clearing plates, replenishing the buffet and helping with AV needs. The bartenders were great. The bathrooms were clean, and stocked. The guests were having a great time and the setting of Chateau Ritz helped to enhance that. We did notice when we arrived for the event that there were a few people hanging around the parking lot (not guests). When we left for the evening, a person was walking through the lot, talking to people (talking to himself?) and moving between the cars.

Decent food. Russian, Ukrainian and other Eastern European pop music. Lots of plastic bling. The…read moreservice is excellent and prompt. There was one thing that had turned my good time into a miserable existence: the music for the size of the room we were in was way too loud. Not only was it impossible to sustain a conversation with a person nearby when the two presenters were at it, it was plain painful. My advice, if you have decent hearing and would like to preserve it: BRING SOME EARPLUGS. Another advice, make sure you have been vaccinated as it's still the middle of the pandemic, and this place is a COVID breeder. A few of the guests have developed symptoms and tested positive a little over a week after attending.

Great concept, bad tech. I took my kids and we played 18 holes and it messed up our scores…read moresomewhere around 30%-40% of the time. It would randomly not count strokes from one or more players, and sometimes not register the score at all. In one instance my son went and shot a 4. I hadn't even gone yet and it suddenly gave me a hole in one and registered no score for him!! I continually had to go to the guy overseeing tee off for him to correct our scores, which was annoying, especially because it was crowded. He was apologetic and very nice about it though. After we finished I told the host at the front about how bad it was and not worth what we paid and he was just like yeah, it does that sometimes. No discount offered, no coupon, or even a "sorry about that." I'd avoid this place.

I am a Google Guide Level 7, with 3,500 contributions and over 30,000 views, a TripAdvisor member since 2007 with 1,000 contributions, and a Yelp Black badge contributor since 2008. I take reviews and paying it forward to my fellow travelers very seriously. Despite my best efforts to get my $24.86 deposit refunded to me, I have received nothing (but lip service) from the hotel group. The hotel outsources their reservations department though a 3rd party. On July 10, I made my reservation for an April 2027 arrival over the phone and was advised that the deposit would be refunded if cancelled 3 days before the date of arrival. After reading the reviews in depth, two days later, on July 12, I cancelled my reservation. In that phone call, I was provided a "Support ticket" number and was advised that the refund of my deposit will be credited within 15 days. After not receiving the refund, and numerous follow-up phone calls to their customer service line, and 15 days after cancelling the reservation, on July 27, I emailed Liz Grantham | Regional Product Manager, hotels1.hotelplanner.com | Liz.Grantham@lodging.support requesting the status of the refund. On July 28 I received the following text....." Your hotel reservation (Xxxxxx) refund in the amount of $24.86 has been processed today. Please allow 2-10 business days for this to be visible to you." As of today, August 17, I have not received the credit from the hotel, nor heard from the hotel or their outsourced reservations support group. Fortunately, after filing a dispute with my credit card company, the bank accepted my dispute and issued the measly $24.86 credit to my credit card account.
