This was a table of appetizers that was served at their wedding expo, tasty appetizers and beautiful display!

I can't say enough good things about this place! I was a little bit skeptical reading all the reviews found here, but then realized they were written many years ago! Now is completely different story. First, let me start with customer service. One word- impeccable! Ivana, with who we worked is wonderful! Very polite, kind, negotiable, patient, you can't hear - no, we can't do it, there is- we will find a way! She is extremely helpful. Helped us with suggestions for food, with decoration and with everything! Had patience for us ( because we did everything last minute) and never showed she was bothered (but probably was :-D how unorganized we were). Also, the staff was extremely polite. Whatever you ask they are ok and listen. So- customer service 10/10. Ambience: perfect! We rented the smallest room. It was clean, modern, and nice. Their center pieces, bouquet of white flowers (photo attached). Looks gorgeous! We brought our decoration for photos and everything looks really beautiful. Many interesting details included. Everything on the photos. Third: food! Mmmmm! Food was DELICIOUS! Ivana can give great suggestions! We took chicken kiev, some pork that looks like steak rolled with bacon and beaf in sauce of mushroom (family style). People- it is yumi! All other things we ordered were delicious! Our guests were full, happy, satisfied as we were too! Prices are affordable compared to some other similar places. Definitely worth checking. All in all- I am so happy we found this place! Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to everyone! I am full of impressions and if I have any event in the future, i know where am I gonna celebrate it! Thank you everyone from Lone tree

Last week I attended a luncheon here after a funeral service. The servers were attentive and the food was well-received by all.

Lone Tree can really throw a party! Thank You to everyone for making our wedding day amazing! We could not be any happier and are still getting rave reviews from our guests about the venue, food and service. The banquet hall is classy and has been recently renovated: new white marble dance floor, modern decor, and the bridal suite is a huge bonus! Lone Tree went above and beyond with the appetizer and dessert stations, and the dinner was phenomenal. The bar was stocked and the staff kept the drinks coming all night. Planning a wedding can be stressful but Anna and Tom made it much easier with their guidance, suggestions, quick responses, and attention to detail so that everything went smoothly and stress free. We would recommend Lone Tree Manor to anyone searching for a venue for any special event or occasion!

I had my daughter's bridal shower at Lone Tree Manor. The room has been newly renovated. The set-up of the tables and decorations were beautiful. We had a traditional polish menu. Food was delicious. The theme of the shower was "lunch and punch". The vodka fruit punch was really good. One bowl of bunch was enough for a party of 34 women. We also had the mimosa punch which was 2 bottles of champagne and orange juice for the guest to prepare. The table set up for the punch was gorgeous. I received a lot of comments that the shower was beautiful with great food. My daughter loved her wedding shower.

Ordering Process: I got the mini sandwiches and the fruit and cheese tray. Ordering was super easy and stress-free. They could customize the type and number of sandwiches with no problem and I also added the fruit and cheese tray after the fact, which was accommodated. Quality: I ordered the mini-sandwiches - chicken salad, turkey gouda, and veggie caprese. Each was so delicious. The cheese and fruit tray were beautifully presented and had plenty of variety. High-quality fruit, cheese, and crackers. Our guests loved the food! Presentation: Each tray was BEAUTIFULLY presented! I also loved that the little card labels came with the order so it was easy to set things up. (see picture). Overall: I'm beyond thrilled with the whole order, From start to finish it was so smooth and the food was well presented and delicious. You cannot ask for more. These gals go above and beyond. They were incredibly accommodating and catered (see what I did there?) to our needs. The address listed for the business is an assisted/independent living community where David Marino is the Executive Chef. Don't feel you've been mislead or that this is a shady deal if you try to go there and find this instead of a stand alone banquet hall. The best way to reach them is by calling or emailing if you need something delivered to you. Their delivery, setup, and service fees aren't bad, either. We had our reception at the Park Ridge VFW and Applauze came on time and prepared with chafing dishes, Sterno fuel, plates, napkins, and flatware. It wasn't elegant, but it was all included in the total cost and a few steps up from the cheap plastic utensils that I was thinking they'd have. They set up the buffet line, manned it for 3 hours, and took it apart when they were done. We estimated we'd have 120 guests (and we nearly did), so we ordered Spinach Salad (2), House Salad (2), Garlic Bread (2 Full), Chicken Vesuvio (2 Full), Italian Beef with Hot Peppers (2 Full), Italian Beef with Sweet Peppers (2 Full), Vegetable Lasagna (3 Full), Lyonnaise Potatoes (3 Full), Vegetable Medley (3 Full), Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms (2 Full) and a Crudités Tray (1 Large). The Full servings say they can feed 20-30 and Half servings are intended for 10-15, but be advised that the portions are huge! We had a lot of food left over and could have easily gotten away with half the salad, half the Italian Beef, and at least 1 less Full order of the Vegetable Lasagna. I figured better safe than sorry and it gave us the opportunity to send guests home with flavorful party favors. We gave some to the VFW employees and took some ourselves. Some of the food went to waste and I am really bummed about that. But what can you do? Start to finish, Applauze took care of us. We were emailed in a timely manner when we had questions or updates and they let us add or subtract from our order up to 5 days before the big event. We mentioned some guests had dietary restrictions and Chef Dave said we should let him know so he could adjust the recipes if needed. I thought the whole exchange, particularly the customer service aspect, was likely the breeziest part of all the wedding planning. The only issue we ran into, and we take equal parts responsibility for this since I don't think we went into specifics about the dietary restrictions (most just couldn't eat pork), was that we had 2 guests with seafood allergies (the menu does list some items with tuna, salmon and/or shrimp, which we avoided) and hadn't been informed that the Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms had crab or imitation crab (fish) and we honestly didn't question it since it was listed under Pasta & Vegetables. The older menu that I believe is still currently on their website doesn't even list this item and the newer menu doesn't say what it's stuffed with. I guess we assumed it would be cheese and something other than seafood since it didn't specify. Oops! My maid of honor mentioned something about crab while eating it and I made my husband hunt down someone who could answer what was in them. We were told it was crab and we quickly alerted those with allergies. Luckily, our friends have learned to let be anything that's questionable, so they had skipped this altogether. Crisis averted, and hopefully they'll disclose this ingredient in future menus or when taking orders. As I said, I think the older menu is what's currently on the website and it has a coupon for 10% off for new customers. I think the newer menu offers 15% off and it has a few more items on it, like the mushrooms. You'll need to contact Chef Dave by email to receive the correct version and can ask him if any of these discount are applicable at this time. We used the 15% off coupon and it saved us a good chunk of money. Each meal provided by Applauze was well under $15 per person (including delivery, setup, service, tax, and tip). We could have easily gotten away with $10 per plate if we'd known how much excess there'd be. And the best part of it all was that we didn't have to sacrifice quality for quantity! Everything was a hit! People raved about the Italian Beef and the Vegetable Medley was tender. We were told by multiple people that the food was fantastic and we've received compliments months later saying how it was some of the best wedding food they've ever had. I would not hesitate to recommend them for your feast!

From the very beginning, we knew FFT was the right vendor for us because they took our favorite foods and crafted a completely customized menu perfectly tailored to what we enjoyed and what we envisioned for the event. From there, they then worked with us to refine the menu as we kept coming up with crazy ideas. We literally emailed Anna about how we had just tasted a delicious Oreo brownie and she had it added to our desserts right away. We also wanted a very custom bar menu, and they worked with us to get us all the different brands we were looking for, going so far as to drive to Indiana to source some of them. The other aspect of their menu that made such an impact was all the interactive food stations. Everything is so creatively presented and designed. At our tasting, Anna had literally taken elements of our décor and paper goods and other motifs and woven them throughout the presentations from custom serving trays to glass designs. Everything felt intentional and thought out. Guests were constantly praising this attention to detail. Every station had some element of action to it as well, making everything feel like a unique experience. In all of this, the food was all delicious. We wish we can eat and experience it all over again. We still dream of Chef Arlene's Guava and Cheese Empanadas. Throughout the process, Anna was extremely easy to work with and very responsive. One thing we wanted to highlight was that we wanted to be very careful with allergens. Despite the high number of dishes, Anna did a fantastic job working to highlight all the possible allergens in every item, taking the request very seriously. We also wanted to praise the service for the actual day-of catering. They had their full team there, and the professional service was fantastic from top to bottom. Our guests praised the food endlessly, and people who were planning their wedding wanted to know all the background details into our catering choice. That is just more proof that Food for Thought was the perfect caterer, and we couldn't have asked for anything more.
