Decent food. Russian, Ukrainian and other Eastern European pop music. Lots of plastic bling. The…read moreservice is excellent and prompt. There was one thing that had turned my good time into a miserable existence: the music for the size of the room we were in was way too loud. Not only was it impossible to sustain a conversation with a person nearby when the two presenters were at it, it was plain painful. My advice, if you have decent hearing and would like to preserve it: BRING SOME EARPLUGS. Another advice, make sure you have been vaccinated as it's still the middle of the pandemic, and this place is a COVID breeder. A few of the guests have developed symptoms and tested positive a little over a week after attending.

Just for ease, the banquet hall is located on the east side of River Road. Very easy and close to I-294. Close to the airport if that helps. It was a luncheon served family style which I personally like as one is able to select their own food and as much or little as they want. They served a beef dish, chicken dish, and pierogi for main dish selections. Tasty, ample and no complaints. The hall was roomy and clean and the servers were very pleasant. I did not go up to the second floor but it looked like there were smaller event rooms up there. Plenty of on site parking and valet was not needed. I am not sure if that service is even offered.

She over charged me by $100, my sister by $131 and my brother by $142. We called her out on it and she proceeded to argue with us saying she was right. We had to do the math in front of her four different times because each time she would go back to change the bill it was wrong still. I was so fed up and couldn't find a manager. I asked for the tip to be removed or reduced because of it and I was told no. Then on top of it they charge you a 5% fee to use credit card. It's not posted anywhere not do they inform you when making a reservation. Over all it was a waste of time a horrible experience. Not sure if they thought we were stupid because we were the only other non Polish/ukraine family there but never ever again. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COST.

It's hard to even put into words how devastating this has been for her and our whole family. We reached out to the venue to explain the situation and request some kind of refund or partial credit, given the circumstances -- this wasn't a normal cancellation. Unfortunately, the hall chose not to show any flexibility or compassion. I understand that businesses have policies, but this was an extraordinary and heartbreaking situation. What hurts most is the lack of empathy. A little understanding or humanity in a moment like this goes a long way. I hope in the future, this hall considers showing more compassion toward their clients during truly tragic circumstances. I would not suggest !

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Meridian on October 8, 2021, and we were…read moreso thankful for everyone here. We had such a positive experience and everyone was amazing at answering my questions, because of course, I had a lot of them. Joyce and Tina were my regular contacts, and we would email back and forth about anything I needed or inquired about. My husband and I knew Meridian was the perfect venue for our wedding because 1) it has a huge hall and welcome area 2) the rooms all have gorgeous chandeliers that make the room look extremely elegant 3) the prices were great and we could have filet mignon and chicken together as a combination plate cheaper than most places with just one protein choice 4) it used to be a movie theater, so there are different rooms and wings of the venue itself. There is even an aerial view for the photographer to get pictures in the old projection room above the dancefloor. Because we had our wedding ceremony at the venue, too, the staff eagerly created a chapel-like room for us so that we didn't need to get married in our reception room (something I was against). We did have to pay a bit more for the extra room, but it was extremely worth it for the outcome. They gave us complimentary uplighting in the ceremony room, as well as in the reception room, and we chose a light blue color. We also were able to choose the color of our satin napkins, and we chose burgundy since our wedding colors were navy blue and burgundy. On our wedding day, the food was amazing and we have gotten many compliments about how great everything was. People have told us that it was the best food they had at a wedding, which makes me so happy. We chose to do the combination plate of filet mignon and chicken Vesuvio for the non-vegetarian plate, though we changed the sauce the filet mignon came with to the peppercorn one. It was amazing, and I would know because I made sure to eat at our wedding. We also chose to have glazed baby carrots which were absolutely to die for in my opinion because they had a brown sugar/maple syrup glaze. As much as I enjoyed all of the food, our soup was hands down the best part because we chose the cream of chicken and it was SO THICK and creamy. YUM! Our service at our wedding was awesome, and everyone was so nice and helpful. If we had to do our wedding again, I would still choose the Meridian because they helped us feel so comfortable. We also were planning a wedding during the unknowns of the COVID pandemic, so that was extremely stressful because they had no idea what our wedding would look like, either, but thankfully we did not need to change our date or change ANYTHING we planned for our wedding at all. They also partner with The Baking Institute for wedding cakes and we were so impressed with ours! It was amazing and they decorated it EXACTLY how we wanted it to be decorated.
