Each had a different "theme" and the Team led by Sue could not have been more creative, helpful and respectful of budget while creating elegant events. The first event was "sit down" with charcuterie at each table in addition to passed hors d'oeuvres and bar. The staff was professional, efficient, friendly and very welcoming to our guests. Sue was able to connect us with sound system help for the evening...every aspect is on her radar! The second event was a Christmas Appreciation Party with "heavy" hot and cold hors d' oeuvres buffet style and passed. I can't say enough good things about Sue and her staff. Our wedding was in November 2021, and it was absolutely incredible (and a BIG part of that was because of the Butter and Vine team!). Sue is so knowledgable and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. We never felt as if she was trying to "sell" us on anything. When we would ask questions we always knew she would give us an honest answer. Additionally, we felt the attention to detail and care for the food/catering on a larger scale. During the tasting, everything was incredible! The tasting was for four of us in total, but when it comes to serving 160 we were worried that there would be a chance that it wouldn't be just as good since the staff had to take care of so many people. I'm always on the search for tasty food for my family that keeps me from cooking...and score! A few friends had mentioned how tasty Butter and Vine's food was and that they were delivering to the North Shore on Mondays and Thursdays (between 2-6pm). I checked out their website and thought the menu looked delicious and very affordable so placed an order right away. The website isn't really clear on when you get your food so I emailed them to check: Monday orders: place by Thursday Thursday orders: place by Monday We've now had 2 deliveries and have been very happy with the food. My kids LOVE their chicken tenders and cesar salad. And my husband and I have enjoyed the mexican salad, scallops, chicken with cous cous and gazpacho. There's a lot to choose from on the menu (lobster rolls are calling my name) so I can't wait to try more. So happy I discovered this and can see myself ordering from them at least once a week while they continue to deliver to the North Shore. We did a lot of research for making our caterer decision for our 200+ person wedding. Our venue had a recommended list and Butter & Vine was on there and for great reason. We reached out and from the start Rich and Sue blew us away. They were so thoughtful, patient and collaborative with us. It ultimately led to a no brainer decision to pick them. Their incredible service only continued to show after we picked them as they took a very thoughtful approach to making sure that our menu great for our day and work with our budget. My husband and I were initially a little nervous choosing them as our caterer because of the lack of reviews (there was only 1 review back when we booked them), but they were indisputably amazing throughout the entire process, and especially on the wedding day! Choosing Butter and Vine was the best decision we made for our wedding. Sue is such a pleasure to work with. She is kind, funny, and really knows her stuff. Butter and Vine may be a new business, but they operate as if their employees have been working together for years! We heard other catering companies have been struggling with staff, but Sue and her team are like family and have had no issues whatsoever with keeping their staff. There were plenty of servers at our wedding and everyone received their food in a very timely manner. Now that we are through talking logistics - holy cow was the food incredible!! We had guests from the East coast tell us that the scallops they had at our wedding were the best they had ever tasted. Everyone was truly raving about the food. We anticipated tasting just one portion of each selection, but they brought out full-size portion per person. We had so much leftovers that Sue packed everything up for us to take home. At the tasting, B&V set up the proposed platings, had a head server wait on us, and had champagne waiting for us. It was a magical tasting experience, that we ultimately decided to work with B&V for our wedding. All 125 guests at our wedding complimented the food, and said our food was the best wedding food they've ever tasted. In particular, everyone praised the soup (in a little carved out pumpkin) with the salad. My family (who is not particularly keen on western food) enjoyed every bit of the appetizers, the soup and salad, and their main course. Best of all, Rich was so flexible on our payment schedules. I originally ordered my family's Thanksgiving dinner from Butter and Vine because IMO the menu was a traditional Thanksgiving dinner plus some of the side dishes had a slight twist, but not too crazy. (roasted corn and carrots, cornbread stuffing) I was not disappointed. The Thanksgiving was delicious! Plus, everything was packaged perfectly in plastic sealed containers-- keeping the food fresh and avoiding leakage. We even got an oversized Turkey bone which I gave to my favorite pup! I love the meals from Butter and Vine. The salads are great for lunch and the salmon poke was extremely filling. I love that they last for up to 4 days. It will be perfect when I go back to work. The heating for the hot meals is also easy and clear directions. One suggestion would be; be able to schedule the date of delivery and time frame for delivery (morning, afternoon, evening). With covid and choosing to be alone on Thanksgiving, I was lucky enough to have a full Thanksgiving meal delivered to me from Butter and Vine. The meal included soup, turkey and dressing and sides of green beans, sweet potato casserole, cranberry relish, potato salad and cole slaw and for dessert, an apple tart. The meal was well packaged and came with complete heating instructions. The free delivery was seamless. All of the food was delicious and certainly more than enough for one meal.
