What an amazing experience at Nuveen Cuisine! This was my second time having the pleasure of attending one of their cooking classes, and somehow it was even better than I remembered. Naveen is a wonderful guy and makes cooking so approachable and enjoyable. The class was the perfect combination of instructional and fun. We learned so much throughout the evening, but everything was presented in such an approachable and enjoyable way. The Indian dishes we prepared were truly some of the best I've ever had--absolutely delicious, beautifully seasoned, and made with incredibly fresh, high-quality ingredients. What I especially love about these classes is that you don't just enjoy a fantastic meal--you leave feeling like you've actually learned something and can recreate the dishes at home. A wonderful experience from start to finish. After two terrific classes, I'm already looking forward to my third! read more

Naveen's is amazing! The concept alone is so wonderful, fun, different and delicious, but it's Naveen's hilarious and kind and welcoming personality that sets this place above every other similar spot I've tried. Take your colleagues, take your friends, family - you won't regret it! So so fun! read more

What a wonderful experience! We had a work event at Naveen's and it was a blast! The food was delicious but Naveen's passion for what he does really set the night apart. Wow - did not know to expect but ended up being a great experience, I learned alot, and super fun. We did a group cooking class with 16 of us.....Naveen was super great teaching us on Indian Cuisine and then "Chef" skills on how we were going to help prepare our meal and then the fun socialization with the group and Naveen and his team. This could be a fun night out with friends or could even be good team-building event for a company. read more

Excellent experience. The place is immaculate and a chefs dream. Naveen was very personable and the rest of the staff was as well. The food turned out great and I am sure everyone in our group had a great time. read more

I hosted a cooking class of 20 with Chef Naveen and his team for the holiday and it was so. much. fun! We picked Indian cuisine. Chef Naveen was so responsive in the planning process and extremely accommodating of several allergies. During the class we learned so much about the food, seasoning and knife skills. Chef Naveen had sooo much energy. He kept us entertained and engaged the whole time. Which can be difficult with a crew of 20 + drinks. The food was delicious. The space was gorgeous and so clean. And his cooking tools were top of the line. If you are considering a class...just do it! read more

Just went for the 3rd time. My mother and I enjoy taking Naveen's cooking class each year. Great for families, couples and work outings.

Went here for a work holiday party. Great experience for groups! The food is delicious.

It was an amazing experience! Highly recommended! Our group was welcomed by Naveen and his assistants who had the kitchen and recipes ready. After explaining his background, cooking philosophy, and a description of the spices and ingredients, Naveen taught knife and prep skills for the dishes we were tackling. At first, I was intimidated by the ease with which he cut the ingredients as he demonstrated techniques, but as I cut and prepped ingredients, Naveen was right there to give advice and encouragement. The meal we made was delicious and easy to make. I learned how to make a wonderful meal shared with the group and Naveen. read more

Recently re-visited Naveen's cuisine and once again had an amazing time cooking! The venue is a beautiful commercial style kitchen space that feels cozy and homely to conduct a cooking class in. We cooked Indian chicken tikka masala, bhindi (okra) and made roti's (i.e. Indian bread). Throughout the class, we learn various cooking lessons from how to hold and motion a knife properly, different types of masalas and chilis, to science of starch (in okra) and grilling techniques. He apparently also rents out the space for private events, so will definitely look into that in the future. read more

We had an absolutely outstanding experience at Naveen's Cuisine cooking class! The venue was beautiful--modern, spacious, and perfect for a group gathering. The recipes / food were delicious, and what truly made the evening was Naveen himself. He's a gracious host, so personable and great at teaching. He made the planning process so easy and seamless...and then the day of the event we just showed up, didn't have any hosting responsibilities, and were able to enjoy ourselves :) The class was fun, relaxed, and pressure-free--such a great way to celebrate my husband's birthday. Had the honor of getting to work alongside Chef Naveen and his great crew on Saturday night "work" party back in early December, 2022. (Two good friends splurged for about fifteen of us to take a cooking class together- a meet & greet while we created a delicious meal.) Drinks were served when we arrived in the spacious kitchen: a clean, open space, with plenty of room, and nicely decorated with fun colors for happy photographs. Chef Naveen and his team had everything ready for us; all we had to do was wash our hands and keep our sleeves off of our wrists. (Do dress accordingly if you're taking a cooking class) We also got a really great knife demonstration with some helpful tips prior to prepping our meal for the evening. Pro tip- you're probably doing it wrong at home... Chef Naveen was available and very approachable for questions, offered super helpful suggestions, and was just generally fun and hilarious the whole evening. We dined together at the end, all of us, and Chef's crew worked seamlessly in the background keeping everything moving for us. Thank you, Crew! An absolutely incredible experience- if you have never taken a cooking class, I could not recommend more highly Chef Naveen and his crew and kitchen. 10/10 stars. Also, Indian food for the win- you'll go home feeling like a rock star. Thank you, Chef Naveen! read more

Our office held a client event at Naveen's with about 30 people. Naveen and his staff did an amazing job of making the experience low stress and entertaining. Naveen showed us all some tips and tricks on how to work a knife and then broke us into groups. Everyone was set up with people they did not know so we could get some social time in while we worked on our dishes. As the food was finished we enjoyed it together, family style. Dietary restrictions are not a problem for Naveen and his staff because of the large selection of recipes we had to choose from. The favorite was the Ahi Tuna Wanton bites. Some other honorable mentions were the Thai Basil Tofu Wraps and the Beef Sheekh Kebabs. read more

Naveen hosted our team of 20 people for a recent team retreat to Chicago. Our team was joining from across the U.S. and Naveen and his team crafted an unforgettable experience! Not only was the food, vibe, and location incredible, Naveen was incredibly accommodating to our team in the planning process - he helped us craft the perfect menu. During the cooking course, his sense of humor and teaching style helped our team break the ice and jump into fun immediately. There were a few last minute changes to our plans that Naveen was able to accomodate, and he helped create a fun learning environment. The space itself is also unreal - the kitchen is huge and there is plenty of space to mingle, cook, and get to work - there is no detail that goes overlooked (the playlist was perfect for our team, BYOB available, clean space and plenty of bathrooms/hooks for bags). I cannot recommend this experience enough for your team, or for you personally! Thank you Naveen and team!! read more

Delicious food, extensive tips and learnings, beautiful space and top notch instructor! I'd highly recommend Naveen's cooking class and we're blown away by the dish we created an Indian curry: chicken tikka masala and roti. We fell in love with this dish here even though we don't usually enjoy it at restaurants. We'll be back for other classes! People who attended were lovely. read more

This is the second year in a row we've had our work holiday party here. Perfection. Naveen and his staff are available enough to help at a moment's notice, but also in the background enough to not be bothersome. The perfect amount of "we're available but we're not going to bother your socializing and fun." Our menu was perfect in that there was enough prep for us to do and get hands on, but also not so much that we couldn't socialize and enjoy a light atmosphere. If you're considering doing a work party here, strongly recommend. Naveen is also super nice and personable, as is his staff. read more

I couldn't think of a better way to kick off the holiday season with the CS-Effect team at Naveen's Cuisine. We had a fabulous time learning how to prepare 4 Indian dishes while sipping bubbly. Naveen taught us knife skills, including the best way to dice an onion and tomato and how to marinate chicken and many more. Best of all when the meal was ready we could all relax and enjoy the delicious food in his beautiful kitchen. Naveen is truly incredibly charismatic and funny which made it a very fun, memorable event. I highly recommend checking out Naveen's Cuisine cooking classes or hosting a private party with friends or a company event. read more
