Fun place to buy your local gifts, girlfriends! This is one of those cute little shops that I just love to peruse in, but Hubby never seems to have the same interest or curiosity in these kinds of shops. Funny! So, if your Hubby or boyfriend is anything like mine, expect that he'll want to wait outside. Sorry guys, but no seats for waiting husbands and boyfriends here. If you're a local, you may be wondering, along with an eye roll, why you'd want to even step inside any of the shops in such a tourist-centric location, as Ghirardelli Square. I'll tell you, though, that I'm a local, and I really enjoyed browsing in this shop, and employees were really nice. They have quality locally made items, sans the kitschy San Francisco t-shirts and magnets. I was also impressed by how well designed the shop was, and how they did such a nice job with the juxtaposition of their many colorful items. If you're already in Ghirardelli Square, I'd say stop in for a few.

Such a cute place for gifts! The ladies working were so helpful and friendly! They even ship your items home for you for free if you spend a certain amount. I got cute gifts for 5 people for a great price AND free shipping so they won't get smashed in my suitcase. I can't wait for them to enjoy them.

Chocolat au Lait Candle

I'm a sucker for bath products. I'm a sucker for things that smell good. I'm a sucker for bath products that smell good. If I could buy everything in this whole store I would, or just save the transaction details and just move my bed and tub into this joint. The smells here are phenomenal and don't smell 'fake'. The candles alone are what drove me in. I'm a sucker for magnolia or anything tropical but CHOCOLAT AU LAIT CANDLE??!?!?! CAN I JUST LICK MY ENTIRE HOUSE RIGHT NOW?!?! The girl at the counter told me "It's going to make you want to eat everything." Who knew she meant I would be chomping on my pillow in my sleep. You can make babies to that candle, it's THAT DECADENT. Dim the lights, some Barry White, a little Chocolate Au Lait Candle... I'm just sayin'... (You can thank me later...) They also have wonderful bath fizzes, cute trays in different sizes of the iconic SF cable cars, lotions, soaps, and a whole section in the back of lavender everything that you can put everywhere you can think of in the house (we were impressed with the lavender toilet paper wrap). They also have big sheets that you can line your drawers with. But trust me on the chocolate candle....

Elizabeth W in Ghirardelli Square

Ghirardelli Square is full of some great little fun shops. It's a fun place to find some cool local items. I won't lie and say I'm a great mind in terms of Bath Products, Fragrances and Beauty Items - although I did get some swank beard lotion for Christmas. This is one of three locations of this cute shop and I'm here to tell you that it's worth a visit. The store itself is named after Elizabeth Wightman, who was a Mountain Rancher back in the 19th Century here in California. The store is primarily fragrance driven and it is clear that it is run with passion. They have a number of cool products and things to explore. This location also has a some great pieces of jewelry and accessories. Personally, I visit to check out some of the fun gift items like books and kitchen goods. It's always great to be able to share a fun item from California with my family members in other spots of the world. If you have some time to spend at Ghirardelli Square, or for that matter at their other locations (Carmel-by-the-Sea and SFO) elizabethW is a great place to check out.

Beautiful selection!

I first fell in love with the Elizabeth W store when they had a pop-up in the SFO airport, which no longer exists (RIP). If you're not from California, they're located in the (in my opinion) poorly laid out Ghirardelli Square. As someone who had never been to the Square- the uber ride threw me off. Get off directly in front of the giant, lit-up Ghirardelli Square sign and walk up the stairs to what feels like the second level, though the sign calls it "Fountain Level," I believe. There, you will find Elizabeth W tucked in the right corner. OK, the good stuff. This is one of my happy places. My favorite things: 1. Beautiful, independently made cards with lovely art. 2. Unique pieces of jewelry, particularly bracelets and agate statement pieces. 3. Distinct and lovely fragrances. At this point, I have three petit parfumes from them: Vevitar, Magnolia and Lavender. Everything smells amazing. Its honestly insane. 4. Great travel size beauty supplies (the cucumber travel set is my favorite). 5. Gorgeous homewares, decor and other small gifts. Its like sensory overload, in the best way possible. When everything is locally sourced, created with so much heart, and just BEAUTIFUL to look at, what's not to love?! I love them so much, I might consider shopping online and having it shipped to Ohio. For real.

ElizabethW is a great place for candles, perfumes, and luxurious but homey bath accessories! The shop is really cute, with lots of lighting come in through the glass windows. There are lots of test lotions, perfumes, and candles to let visitors get a sample of what they're buying. Lots of accessories that would be great for a thoughtful gift... or if you just want to spoil yourself ;) FAVS -Tea Rose Perfume. I loved the candle version of this scent! Also comes in lotion, perfume, bar of soap, and diffuser. -Neroli Chamomile Perfume. A light floral scented perfume. They also had lotions and candles in this scent.

Bath Fizz stuff really do smell nice if your into this stuff

Every time we come to SF my wife loves to come here and buy some of their lotions and bath products...this is a nice little shop located in Ghirardelli Square not only do they sell bath and beauty products but they also sell boutique type items as well. If you are in this area I would highly suggest hitting up Elizabeth W and especially getting some of the Magnolia lotion which I personally smells great on my favorite lady.

Citrus verbena. such lemonaid. so smell gud.

You'll find currently trendy products like snail secretion skin care, hair curlers, bb cream, cc cream, etc. Most of the beauty products (skin care, cosmetics) are from Korea, from brands like Etude House, Toly Moly, and Skinfood. They can also pre-order items from those lines. The Milk Talk body lotion smells like milkshakes. Expect to find really cute packaging but not a lot of English on the packaging. There are testers of most of the beauty products. The shop is tiny but crammed full of clothes, lingerie, stockings, shoes, scarves, purses, jewelry, iPhone accessories and makeup. Not everything has a price but the things that had prices were very reasonably priced. The clothes and accessories are in the $20-$30 range. Some of it was cute - especially if you are a girly girl who likes bows, ribbons, ruffles, lace and faux fur (e.g., faux fur bras). However the material is predominantly synthetic. I couldn't figure out the sizes of some items. The shoes all look small, size 6 small. The skirts are super short. They have iPhone bumpers with Hello Kitty bows, iPhone cases that look like Dior nailpolish bottles I received a free sample and very courteous service. My picks: * Baby Milo iPhone screen protectors for iPhone 5 ($10) * Hello Kitty bow style iPhone bumpers for iPhone 4 * Etude House strawberry lip cream ($6, smells wonderful) * Pocket bunny moist mist - love the bunny packaging

Neither of us wear makeup on a regular basis, and my techniques were stuck in 2008 lol. So the class was a much needed refresher on current makeup trends. I really like all the products I purchased, though my partner picked up some duds (bad packaging, dry product) so in the future, we will make sure everything is working properly before the return window lapses, because these products are not cheap!

"Beauty is skin deep"…read more Japan and Korea are the leaders in innovative skincare so it makes sense that many women gravitate to Asian brands. Longtime Japanese luxury brand Shiseido has been creating well loved skincare and cosmetics since 1872. I ran out of eye cream so I tried some at a Korean brand shop that I like. It was fine, but not what I am used to. I am accustomed to skincare that my skin quickly "drinks" opposed to feeling waxy on the surface of my skin. If I have to pat the product for absorption over an extended period of time - it isn't worth it. I was walking out of the Japantown "mall" to get fresh mochi across the street when I saw the awning to this shop with Shiseido products prominently displayed in the window. I asked for eye cream. I was shown their options. I used one option she showed me for a year until it was empty (thats why I was there). I tried different products I was curious about as well. 10 minutes in the shop and I was out of there! The ladies who assisted me were professional, courteous, and helpful with answering my questions. I didn't feel pressured to try or buy anything more than what I wanted. This shop sells another brand - but I wasn't interested. My sensitive skin loves the eye cream. The jar is enough to last about half a year - so consider that along with the effectiveness and voila - it was a great deal! I am thankful for my fuss free purchase. I will return when my balancing elixir runs out.
