Had a great experience Filmore location with an associate that took her time to match my perfect shade. However, the next morning when I opened the concealer to try on, I noticed the Revealer Skin-Improving Foundation SPF 25 had an expiration date in 3 months (8/2024). I was put off by how close the product was to expire and felt concern about the other product's shelf life as well (concealer and foundation no expiration date). I went to return my products today at the Hayes Valley location and the associate who helped process the return was incredibly rude. When I told her what the issue was, she said, "it's because clean products expire faster." I let her know that this particular product has SPF and if the expiration date is in 3 months-- it doesn't matter if it's a clean product or not it should've been pulled off the shelves. Especially because clean produdcts can spoil even sooner and SPF has a hard cut off date. As most of us know, cosmetics tyically have a shelf life of 3 years from manufacturing date if UNOPENED. Per item label, typically will indicate how long they are good for from the day you open them (6m, 12m, 24m etc.) Per Kosas website, "Each of our unopened products has a shelf life of 2-3 years depending on whether they contain water. There is a "PAO" (product after opening) symbol on each carton that indicates the recommended amount of time to use the product after opening. If you notice any changes in smell, consistency, or other issues with your products within this PAO time period, please let us know. We'd be happy to send you a new one." So why would I want to buy a product that would typically have a PAO of 6-24m that will expire in 3 months, at full price to say the least?? She processed the return, I said thank you. She said nothing. I walked out on my merry way. TLTR: BEWARE PRODUCTS (ESPECIALLY SPF) MAY BE VERY CLOSE TO EXPIRING WHEN PURCHASING. CHECK EXPIRATION DATES AND ASK FOR A PRODUCT WITH A CLOSER MANUFACTURING DATE IF POSSIBLE.

You'll find currently trendy products like snail secretion skin care, hair curlers, bb cream, cc cream, etc. Most of the beauty products (skin care, cosmetics) are from Korea, from brands like Etude House, Toly Moly, and Skinfood. They can also pre-order items from those lines. The Milk Talk body lotion smells like milkshakes. Expect to find really cute packaging but not a lot of English on the packaging. There are testers of most of the beauty products. The shop is tiny but crammed full of clothes, lingerie, stockings, shoes, scarves, purses, jewelry, iPhone accessories and makeup. Not everything has a price but the things that had prices were very reasonably priced. The clothes and accessories are in the $20-$30 range. Some of it was cute - especially if you are a girly girl who likes bows, ribbons, ruffles, lace and faux fur (e.g., faux fur bras). However the material is predominantly synthetic. I couldn't figure out the sizes of some items. The shoes all look small, size 6 small. The skirts are super short. They have iPhone bumpers with Hello Kitty bows, iPhone cases that look like Dior nailpolish bottles I received a free sample and very courteous service. My picks: * Baby Milo iPhone screen protectors for iPhone 5 ($10) * Hello Kitty bow style iPhone bumpers for iPhone 4 * Etude House strawberry lip cream ($6, smells wonderful) * Pocket bunny moist mist - love the bunny packaging

We started with the West side of the mall first, and browsed around. The Face Shop happened to be the first store we looked into. The woman working there was very friendly, and super helpful. My kid noticed they had BTS (Korean Boy Band) sheet masks there. We ended up coming back later, and we asked the woman which one was best for my daughter's skin. My preteen is breaking out, so we ended up getting the orange BTS sheet masks. 4 for $20, but it was 10% off. The woman was so nice, she decided to bring a brand new pack for us from the pack instead of letting us take the display one. We also got the charcoal oxygen mask for blackheads, and that was only $3. It works almost as well as the $9 Glam Glow one. I love Korean skincare it is all the rage. It also works so well! Plus it's super affordable. My kid ended up using one of the BTS sheet masks last night, and her skin looked great. The woman did say it will nourish her skin, and it did that.

She was polite and friendly over the phone, which immediately made me feel welcome. When I arrived about 10 minutes early, Vivian was waiting for me. The shop is small and cozy, and she had everything set up and ready to go in her treatment room. She shaped my brows beautifully, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quick and efficient the appointment was without ever feeling rushed. She checked in with me throughout the process to make sure I was happy with the shape and symmetry. It was painless and relaxing. I loved the results. After my brows were finished, she took the time to look at my skin and asked about my current skincare routine. She made a few recommendations based on my skin, but there was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything or book additional services. Overall, Vivian was kind, professional, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I left very happy with my brows, and I'm looking forward to coming back to try one of her microdermabrasion facials. I would definitely recommend Fujiya Cosmetics to anyone looking for eyebrow services or skincare treatments.

What stood out unfortunately was the lack of professionalism from someone I believe to have been the store manager. Despite wearing a name tag there was no greeting acknowledgment or basic courtesy. This was disappointing especially as it reflects a pattern I've noticed at multiple Sephora locations throughout the Bay Area. Interestingly this level of unfriendliness has not been my experience at Sephora stores elsewhere. Sephora's products are premium priced particularly in today's economy. When customers are choosing to spend their money here the expectation of basic warmth and respect is not unreasonable. It is difficult to justify supporting a business when paying feels like an inconvenience rather than a valued exchange. Customer experience matters and this visit fell short.

On August 29, 2026, I returned to the store politely asking for an exchange for an undamaged one or a refund under California's Implied Warranty of Merchantability. Instead of helping, the employees outright refused, laughed directly in my face, and refused to provide any manager or owner contact information. Selling sharp, defective accessories and openly mocking young customers is absolutely shameful. Avoid this place at all costs -- a complete tourist trap with zero accountability.
