I visit Candy Doll beauty at least once a month or whenever I need to restock anything skin care related. Location: while other malls are seeing a decline or simply becoming empty facades, Stonestown Galleria is seeing an Asian renaissance. You can find fast casual sushi concept Kura and Hong Kong based massage chair retailer Osim here just to name a few. There are two other cosmetic and skin care based stores; Sephora and Fanoli. Come here for: you'll find Korean brands such as Cosrx, Torridin, Beauty of Joseon, Som by Mi, RoundLab, Anua, Skin 1004, and Axis-y, just to name a few by memory. Certain brands rotate based on trend and certain items do take quite some time to restock. Japanese brands such as Hadilabo and Lululon can also be found here. Makeup, hair care, anime toys, and health products round out the rest of the store itself. Service: the staff is generally friendly and can answer questions when it comes to the products that are carried. Do sign up for their membership rewards program as the more you buy, the more reward dollars you'll earn that can be applied towards future purchases. While this is not an Olive Young by any means, I have found that I do seek out Candy Doll Beauty more for my skin care needs versus visiting Sephora. read more

Candy Doll Beauty at SF Stonestown is little shop chock full of Japanese and Korean beauty supplies and skincare care tucked away in the upper level corner mall. Like my secret stash! Great location if I don't want to track all the way to Japantown to pick up any skincare or makeup products. The staff is usually very nice and helpful especially in deciphering some product uses. I really appreciate their patience and their knowledge of the products they sell. Give them a try when you're in the Stonestown Galleria next time!! read more

This is such a great beauty store! I love to come in here for my skincare and makeup purchases. The sales associates are so friendly and kind! These ladies know so much about beauty products, and they are so helpful in showing me different products or finding products in stock for me. This store has such a great selection, it is very organized, and the displays of the different products are so beautiful! Thank you so much to the staff of this store- I am so happy with the customer service and my purchases every time that I come here . read more

Found the best Korean beauty store carrying all types of hair, makeup and skincare products. They carry high end brands and affordable brands, something for everyone. My daughter likes the hair masks and skin care products I like their variety of lipsticks; I highly recommend this store found on the second level of Stones town mall. read more

Poor customer service. Why are you hiring people who don't know much of their product sale. Don't tell people it's a niche product & people only go to their stores knowing what to buy. You're selling skincare & makeup product! read more

(For reference I'm am a hispanic person) I've seen other reviews saying that their customer service was bad and targeted towards certain races so I was a bit hesitant to go to the store at first. However, I went to the store the other day and I saw a woman there and she was watching me but not in a targeting manner. Every now and then she would ask if I needed something and if everything was OK. She was calm and when I went to check out, she was very kind and was not very much like the other reviews. I think they have probably improved on customer service since the other reviews were made. read more

One of my happy places. This place is addicting and I can spend allllll day in here. Do not bring your husbands or boyfriends, they will be so angry waiting for you and spoil your happy time. Many makeup, skin care, hair care, and idol merchandise. The ladies attitude can be a hit or miss. Most of the time they have been super nice and on a rare occasion can be less than nice. I prefer this location than the other locations. Clean and organized. read more

Love this store, they have all the fantastic Korean skin care you can think of! The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful so I highly recommend visiting when possible! read more

The customer service here is amazing, I'm relatively new to skincare so I don't really know what I was looking for but the employees here was patient and recommended me a lot of useful products for my dry skin. I will definitely be coming back and recommend anyone to come here if they are looking for high quality skin care products. They have an amazing collection of products here as well. read more

Disgusted ass customer service. They be mocking and looking at me like a prisoner even though I supported the store, buying a lot of stuff. But now I think I would rather to get online or go to different stores because we don't deserve all this since we already paid and spend our money, it's not like we're stealing so the workers should not be treating us like this?? They don't have the ability to do this come on!! Guys please don't come to this store and support them I'm being real right now. read more

I love this store. The employee was very kind and helpful. I needed recommendations and so far everything is working out perfectly for my skin. I'll certainly be back! read more

DO NOT come here. I'm honestly unsure if I was being profiled or just judged off the fact that I was casually browsing??? I have no clue but the employees need to seriously do better. I came here on a Monday evening and it was immediately SO uncomfortable. There weren't too many people in the store at first but I noticed that the entire time I was browsing 2 older women were making it VERY clear they were watching me. That's fine. I've worked in retail and I own a business, but the fact that they were so clearly targeting me when there were more people trickling in is very upsetting. I was doing my best to give them the benefit of the doubt and understand where they were coming from, however, this older women with glasses came up to give me a basket for the 2 items I was holding and when I politely declined she made a very rude face towards me. Then she proceeded to talk about it to her coworker like I couldn't understand. Do bette. If that were one of my employees it would be your last day. The thing is, this has happened the last 2 times I've come to this store and I do not appreciate unprofessional behavior. Yes, you have a job to do but no you are not paid to make people uncomfortable when they are there to put money into your business. This is the first review I've ever had to write about any establishment and I honestly hope they're able to adjust their staff to have higher standards for themselves. Customer service 0/10 for me. Sorry. read more

This is my first Yelp review, and I would like to say candy doll beauty is a lovely K-pop and animation toys store. They have all the Korean and Japanese popular skin care in the store, and I found out they have axis y serum too! I went to the store on June 12th, and I witnessed an incident where a crazy customer displayed impolite behavior towards the workers. "Karen" yelled and said the B-word to the workers. Throughout the interaction, the customer frequently raised her voice, used derogatory language, and belittled the workers. At the end of the conversation, I saw that the employees did NOTHING wrong, but the crazy woman said she would write a bad review on Yelp. (IDK WHAT IS THE POINT OF DOING THIS TO THE LOVELY STORE) I hope the girls didn't get traumatic by the "karen", and maybe the girls should call security to ask the crazy woman to step out of the store next time. Overall, the lovely store deserves a good review! It is crucial to approach reviews with integrity, objectivity, and a focus on providing constructive feedback rather than attempting to inflict harm. :) read more

Don't dare to come over to this store. The store is unorganized. The tester are always empty. The customer service is BAD. Once you leave the store, you make sure that you have the correct product otherwise it's impossible to get a refund or exchange under any circumstances. I was looking for a toner and moisturizer and I found this $58 each sekkisei skin product and so I bought the toner and moisturizer. They gave me the wrong box which I did not realize. So, I came home ready to use it and as I opened the product, I realized that they gave me both toner. I came back to the store within 4 days and tried to exchange it with the moisturizer and they refused and said they cannot accept open package as they cannot resell it. I have explained the situation which is not even my fault from the first place but they still refused to exchange it. They don't care if you have been a loyal customer for them. I have been buying lots of skin care products from them for many years and never returned anything and yet they cannot even take accountability for their own mistake. read more

The products are overpriced and the service is horrible. When you walked into the store, you will not be greeted but instead they will be watching your every move to see if you're gonna steal anything. The worst part was the customer service that I witnessed at the store. I watched and overheard the whole ordeal the customer had to deal with one of the employee. This employee needs to get some ass whooping because her attitude towards the customer was so unacceptable and unprofessional!! she was yelling and cussing at the customer over some transaction. It was unbelievable and I have to say the customer service at this store is a zero, and it was an unpleasant shopping experience. read more

Horrible customer service. They do not even respect their own policies, which are clearly listed on the receipt that they give you. I went in to exchange an unused item because I had bought the wrong thing, but they gave a fake reason of there being "fingerprints" on an unopened item. They stretch out their necks like giraffes when they see people who are not white or East Asian walk into the store. Do not come here at any cost, it is such a horrible experience. I literally made a yelp account just to leave this review, I mean it when I say that shopping here is the worst experience I have ever had as a customer. read more

THE EMPLOYEES ARE SO KIND!!!! I went here with my mom and this kind girl helped me find my shade on foundation and matched me really good! Omg! This is my favorite store, and I'd be happy to provide a general review of makeup store products. However, since the stores carry a wide range of brands and products, it isn't easy to choose which one is the best for my skin type, and from the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by a friendly and knowledgeable store associate they recommend the best products for me to try it out! If anyone has questions, feel free to ask the sales they will recommend the product base on your skin type!!!! They guided me through the different brands and explained the features and benefits of each skincare option. They patiently answered all my questions and even demonstrated how to apply the skincare for the best results properly. I left the store feeling incredibly satisfied with my experience!! read more

As soon as you walk in the lady will stretch her neck as far as she can just to analyze you. It didn't happen just once she will literally stand in an aisle just to watch me from the corner of her eye. I noticed that she watches everyone extremely closely in the store too, like damn if you're that paranoid stay home... stress is not good for you. It's extremely disrespectful to assume anyone of theft, but especially me since I work at the same mall. Every time I go there i'm being supervised and it's frustrating and uncomfortable because you would assume they would be able to recognize that I've never stolen from them. The products are nice, affordable prices in my opinion which is why the review isn't 1 star. Just go to the one in japantown, it's not worth the discomfort. read more

I ordered 5 bottle of shower gel from their website since they didn't have enough in store, UPS shows the package was left at front door but I didn't see anything, I contacted them through email, website inquiry form, phone/text, finally someone replied via text a few days later and said the package was delivered, you need to talk to UPS and file a claim, we can't help you. Super unhelpful!!! But UPS said only the sender can initiate this claim, but they didn't want to help! Horrible customer service! read more

This place has every facial mask product you didn't know you needed. They also have other random health and beauty products as well as perfumes and other things listed in Japanese, Chinese, or Korean. Make sure to ask the lady who works here for help to clarify what the various products are - she will help you find what you need! read more

I agree with the first reviewer the ladies here are very wary when i've come in to look/buy the last two times. The cashier gave me a strange look as i was paying looking me straight in the eyes as if waiting for me to confess to a crime or something. she seemed irritated. I had barely been 5 minutes in the store because another lady asked straight away if i needed help with something. After i said no she proceeded to stay in the same aisle as me pretending to clean things up. She didn't do this with anyone else so i felt uncomfortable and decided to leave quickly. they have great products but i'll stick to buying online rather than having to deal with that discomfort again. read more

the store is really great and has a lot of good/trendy Korean skincare products for a GOOD price, but there's an older lady that works there who was very keen on racially profiling my friend and i, and following our every steps. for context, she didn't seem to care what the big group of asian girls were doing, yet she assumed that two black girls were going to steal. terrible customer service, so i'll spend my money elsewhere. read more

Terrible service . They cater to the Chinese clientele and that's fine but putting on cosmetics , chattering with one another and then giving resting bitch face to those of us who are actually shopping and interested is unacceptable . Luckily , I found innisfree beauty downstairs and they had half off their products!! I suggest to those of you who want equally amazing products to go Downstairs . I bought a lipgloss the girl hardly spoke to me; finally said thanks when I fully paid for it . If the manager isn't there it's so pointless shopping this store . Anyway I am switching up stores read more

**REVIEW IS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE** I love Japanese and Korean beauty and was thrilled when i saw this store opened. Sadly, the employees are unprofessional and don't know anything about skin. If i ask them about the product what it does... they will just read out loud the description. HELLO! I need more information and review than that, obviously i read it already. Whenever i shop here, they are ALWAYS following me around asking me if i need assistance. When in reality, i feel like they're following me because they think i will steal products. I bought BIORE SPF and i realized after months of buying it that it was expired. I purchased 2018 and bottle said 2017. They tried to convince me that it was the production date, but when i googled the same product with the product info..i was right that i was reading the expiration date. I hate that once you opened a product, you cannot return or exchange. EXCHANGES allowed ONLY IF PRODUCT WAS UNUSED UNOPENED. read more

Packages are not priced. And the prices on the display cases are not honored. The box of face mask did not have a price on the box itself but in the display shelf it said $26. Went to ring up and it was $28. They insisted on charging me $28 The associate and I went back to the display where I showed her the only sticker price for the various boxes there. She peeled off the sticker price and grabbed the other varieties of boxes there. She rang up the sticker and the other boxes. The description was exactly the same as the box I wanted to purchase. The other boxes were not the same description as the sticker. I asked her to honor the price displayed. But she refused. So I told her I won't be buying the box, and the other items I was planning to purchase. It's tricky buying things that do not have price tags. The other variety of boxes that were displayed with the sticker price were actually more. One of them was about $34! read more

just learned of this place from my niece who knows I love sheet masks - came and picked up some innisfree sheet masks, a few lip, eye, hand and foot masks too, as well as the Sekkisei Enriched Lotion, Banila Zero cleansing balm and Neogen bio-peel pads (wine) the lady there was very helpful in answering all my questions- will definitely be back when I need to replenish my skincare supplies read more

The only thing that bug me is the cashier. She looked like we own her money and look at you like you are thief. I understand that you have to be-careful with people from stealing your items but don't make it so obvious. Don't assume that everyone is going to steal from your store and should treat us nicely. And also she is giving me the pissed off face while i am paying. I would rather pay for shipping fees and buy from Yesstyle than seeing her face. read more

Wonderful place for getting skin care routine! I've been a customer for as long as this place been there , right after yes style got closed. I was mostly purchasing there shampoons and conditioners, but after I've been starting to notice wrinkles I went there to purchase face skin products. Lady that been working there for a long time is very helpful (sorry don't know her name) . I've been having dry skin all of my life and was happy about it since I never had acne and other skin issues, but after turning 29 started to notice wrinkles . I went to candy shop and asked the lady for the help and the products that she recommended me were very helpful. For example, I never knew that wearing a sunscreen could prevent early aging .. additionally, after fallowing her recommendations I started to notice positive effects on my skin .Ps , younger girl that works there is very nice and polite , but if you aren't sure what your skin needs, ask the older lady for the help read more

The reviews of the employees following you around assuming everyone is going to steal are correct. It makes for an unpleasant shopping experience so I don't even bother going in the store at all. I buy online or from other stores that carry Asian cosmetics. read more

The girls here are amazing and very helpful. If you come in with a certain skin concern they can direct you to the right products and they aren't pushy. Also the store manager is sooo kind, ever since I started shopping here when they first opened the manager has always been soo nice and helpful. Which is why I'm loyal to this store and keep coming back to support them versus buying online (I prefer instant gratification). This store and location have the best customer service in the entire Bay Area. I've gone to all the other k-beauty stores and I can easily say this store has the best trained and attentive sales associates. They have majority of the best-selling Japanese and korean beauty and skincare products in stock.
