We were looking for a last-minute corporate team-building event, and Elixir to Go was able to book us just a few days before the event. In terms of planning, they were highly responsive and had a great, easy-to-use online portal to book and pay for the event. Due to traffic we ended up arriving to the event late, but Nick at Elixir was very understanding and accommodating. We did the 2 hour mixology course, which included making 4 drinks (including mocktails for our non-drinking teammate). Overall the experience was beyond my expectations. Nick was extremely knowledgeable, and compared to other similar activities I've done did an exceptional job of educating us on theory, alternatives, and just general approach to making drinks in a way that landed super well. My entire team was blown away by how much we learned, and had fun in doing so. Plus, extremely well-made and tasty drinks. Their professionalism and quality of the entire experience was exceptional, and our team whole-heartedly recommends Elixir/Elixir to Go to anyone looking for a great team activity! read more

We attended an online cocktail making class with the folks at Elixir and were thoroughly impressed by their knowledge of all things alcohol and by how good our own home-made concoctions turned out! Great activity to enjoy some good drinks in a safe and socially distanced way. read more

We hired ElixirToGo for our holiday activity & team building. The owner, H., was great and easy to work with. Robert was our incredible instructor and we were fully impressed with the quality of the drinks and the knowledge Robert had on all things... What a fun and interesting couple hours. The whole team loved it! read more

H hosted a perfect zoom mixology class that was also a surprise 50th birthday party for my husband. We had a blast! Elixir delivered ingredients to all participants a few days in advance. We followed along mixing and sipping as H explained how and why we use each ingredient and bar tool. He answered all our questions and gave us some interesting history about cocktails and tips for customizing our drinks to match our taste preferences. read more

Elixir To Go hosted my team for a cocktail making class and competition. It was a total blast and super professional. We learned some standard recipes, tool handling tips and basic history then were left to our own devices to create! Our bartender was helpful and encouraging as we experimented and we all walked away with a new signature cocktail and a smile. I would highly recommend Elixir To Go! read more

H was SUCH a great host and so much fun for our virtual mixology fundraiser! We learned a ton and were laughing along the whole way. The pre-packaged cocktail ingredients made it so easy to mix drinks right along with the bar tools, making my at-home quarantine happy hours so much better! Thanks so much, can't express my gratitude enough and can't wait to do it again! read more

Beyond H. himself, I find that Elixir to Go's greatest strength is in the depth of their team. I've called upon them for a number of events now, and have been nothing but impressed with their event bartending services. More than just shot and beer bartenders looking to pick up an extra shift, if I'm not mistaken, every single person that H. has sent me has either managed or owned their own bar outright. They know their drinks well, and even better, they've got the operational experience to keep improving event after event. Most of all, I appreciate H. as a problem solver...something that becomes essential when trying to put together an event for 200 on less than a week's notice. Obviously, it's better for everyone to have more time to plan, but it's reassuring to know that if you are under the gun, Elixir to Go has your back. read more

H. put on a great team building event for us last week. He was incredibly responsive from the beginning and put on a great, interactive class. Everyone loved it and thought it was a great mix of technical instruction and fun mixology history/trivia. H., I'm hoping to see Chocolate Cherry War at Elixir at some point! read more

Holy cow, H and Elixir To Go are THE HARDEST WORKING BARTENDERS IN THE WORLD! We had a wedding of 70+ people, a majority of whom are cocktail enthusiasts, and H. not only crafted a menu that our guests loved, they KILLED IT on our wedding day by providing amazing service and consistently good drinks all night long. We had guests coming up to us letting us know how amazing the bartenders and the drinks were, and that, hands down, these were the best drinks they've ever had at a wedding. In addition to the drinks and the service, H brought his vintage glass collection that again, blew us all away. We were all delighted to be enjoying beautifully crafted drinks in vintage glassware. I cannot recommend H and Elixir to Go enough. They are AMAZING and they helped make our wedding memorable. read more

When planning a cocktail class for a group of eager beverage enthusiasts, the first place Anchor Distilling thought to start was Elixir. H. was so easy to work with and made planning the event a breeze. The mixologist who came to teach our class, Brian, came prepared with talking points about the Anchor products used in the cocktails as well as a breadth of knowledge about the history of the spirits and the cocktails being created. Brian was not just behind the bar demonstrating, but was walking around to each table teaching how to properly stir, muddle, shake and pour. Our guests had a wonderful experience and left feeling educated and with a new found passion for fine spirits and great cocktails. Thanks, H.! We will definitely be looking to Elixir to Go for similar events in the future. read more

Two hour mixology class with Robert. Our group of 10 had a great time learning all about the different types of liquor - Robert's a pro! And then we got to make 4 delicious cocktails. I'm amazing how so few ingredients can taste so delicious - it's all about fresh ingredients and quality liquor. Loved it! I really liked the intimate setting, and the separate 'workstations' for each of us. I'll definitely share this experience with other corporate teams and friends. read more

Three of my friends and I celebrated a birthday by taking Elixir's cocktail-making class. H. was fantastic! He lead us through the history of cocktails in America and answered all of our questions about our favorite spirits. He was also incredibly accommodating. We had a blast making different drinks that was surprisingly easy to make and very tasty. The experience was super fun! I highly recommend the class! read more

We hired Elixir To Go 5 years ago in 2014 for a reunion cocktail party. The drinks were phenomenal and we got many compliments about the bartender Shea's skills and attitude. I only now realized that I'd never left a review 5 years ago as I wrote them back to hire the same team. read more

We (Stacy and Witbeck) used Elixir To Go for our recent Board Retreat as a teambuilding event. H. Joseph was very accommodating and easy to work with. Even worked with our venue coordinator to iron out the details. Robert was our instructor and our Execs were super impressed with the quality of the drinks and the knowledge Robert had on all things liquor! He even sent me the recipes and photos that were taken during the event. I would highly suggest using Elixir for a fun event or team building activity. read more

I recently did a mixology class at Elixer To Go with a bunch of friends and it was an incredible night. H (the owner) has a world of knowledge to share. I can now make some pretty awesome drinks and it was a great night out with friends. It's pretty much a "must do" if you are a foodie who enjoys mixology! read more

Excellent! I would give exponential stars if I could. Recently, I organized an event for the swearing-in ceremony for a judge with 250 attendees and I searched all over to find a bar-tending service. After being introduced to H., and his team there was no question that my event would be a success. They are professional, punctual, hassle-free and capable of handling anything that could go haywire during such an event...and with them, nothing did. The bar team rocked it, the set up was fantastic, the drinks were delicious and I have been receiving an overwhelming amount of compliments about their service. After the event I was expecting to stay through the night and clean up, etc. and they insisted that I go and get a good nights sleep "they would take care of it" and they did. I must mention the quality of the liquor, too--we had some of the coolest cocktails that I've ever seen at a party and they used very interesting brands such a Snow Leopard Vodka, Macallan Scotch, Brugal Rum and some others. It was brilliant--thanks so much to all of you! read more

I arranged this as the second half of our company Christmas party (we first went on a fantastic food tour of the Mission). Perhaps it was because the first bit was so great, but this fell very flat. The class for 8 wasn't in the bar itself but a very cramped, questionably clean, back room. The "welcome drink" was a very strong, very small punch (shot?). Then we were bored by an hour-long, rambling history of spirits with no drinks in our hands. Then the teacher made two Manhattans that we shared, we each made our own margarita, then split into pairs to make cocktails as part of a competition, which wasn't introduced very well, it was just a free-for-all of "here's what we have. Get after it..." All in all, the experience was not engaging and not good value for money for our group. read more

H did such an amazing job hosting a virtual cocktail hour for my team. We not only learned a great deal about the history of cocktails, but also how to make great cocktails. We had a lot of fun with each along the way, and best part, no one had to drive home after! I'm STILL making a manhattan EVERY night two months later. He inspired me to have fun experimenting with different bourbons and playing with the recipe. Could not recommend more!!! read more

I took my team to Elixir for a mixology team offsite. It was so much fun! We learned to make 4 different and popular cocktails including martini, manhattan, mojito and margarita (and got to enjoy our fruit of labor, obviously). It was really useful to learn how to use some basic bar tending tools and basic techniques. The instructor was very engaging. It was just a really fun and relaxing time for us all to try each other's creations have bond. After the class, they followed up with all the recipes we learned. I'm planning to mix something this coming holiday season myself! read more

Great cocktails with experienced city bartenders making and serving them! We worked with Elixir to Go to make cocktails for an informal work gathering with 45 people up in Calistoga. The owner, H, and his team brought a great-looking rustic bar and made three different cocktails on two evenings. I'd highly recommend them for a few reasons: * experienced SF bartenders make your drinks. Rather than a part-time, generic catering bartender, Elixir's people really know their stuff and it showed in the presentation and flavors of the cocktails * choices: we selected from many different cocktails and chose between supplying all the ingredients ourselves or having ETG bring them * reasonably priced * good people, local business read more

I just hosted a group activity with Elixir. We signed up for the cocktail class plus competition. We had a blast and our host Nick was the best! I have already referred a few other teams their way. H. Joseph and Nick were very accommodating and even helped our non-drinking members form some wild Mocktails. I highly recommend Elixir for team building/group events. read more

Had our corporate team-building activity here - a really solid experience. Nick was easy to communicate with, the price was great, and everyone had a good time making cocktails. I would definitely recommend this to all sorts of groups - corporate outings, friends, etc. It's a great way to spend a couple hours, and you learn a lot. Thanks, Nick! read more

More than just amazing cocktails, H. brought an element of entertainment to our event, demonstrating his cocktail-making prowess and enthusiastically sharing his broad knowledge of spirits and mixology. Our guests were delighted. Several have become cocktail converts. Wine is so last century! read more

We did a team building event with H. at Elixir for a team of 6 and had a great time! Mixology 101 was enjoyable because we learned about the history of cocktails, and H. is sharp and personable. Of course we also learned the skills it takes to make great cocktails, which is quite an art form in itself. The taste testing was also fun, but the best part was enjoying ourselves as a team with a great host! Thank you H. and Elixir!! read more

We had a big blowout birthday party last year and hired Elixir To Go to put together a cocktail menu and cater about 50 people. Drinks were delicious and the bartenders were amazing, professional, friendly, and took care of everything. The service exceeded expectations and there were nothing but compliments from everyone there. Out of everything, hiring them was money best spent. read more

We recently hired H. and Elixir To Go for a mixology team build for a newly formed leadership team at our recent off-site meeting. It was truly a pleasure working with and learning from H. from the pre planning to the hands-on mixing. I had never done this type of team build before and H. worked directly with the venue's onsite event manager, coordinating all the details and making the whole process extremely easy and seamless. He is very passionate and highly knowledgeable about the history of spirits and eager to provide instruction about the basic formula of cocktails which sets up for a fascinating experience. He wrapped up the session representing the customer experience aspect, which is right where we're focused in our department, so our time together concluded perfectly with our theme. Everyone had a wonderful time and they can't wait to impress their friends and family with their newly acquired skills. We would love the opportunity to work with H. again. read more

Elixir hosted a private cocktail class for my team of ten and it was absolutely phenomenal! H delivered an engaging educational course on cocktail history, science, business, and of course hands-on practice crafting our own cocktails. It was fun and informative--much more than just learning simple recipes and pouring drinks we all left with much more knowledge and appreciation of the world of cocktails! I'd highly recommend this as a team building activity, something fun for a group of friends or family, birthday party, etc. They can also host larger groups at other venues so I think I'm going to look into that for the next time. read more

We were lucky enough to take part in one of many team building events Elixir To Go offers. Scheduling and coordinating was a breeze. Everyone had a blast and truly learned the history behind many spirits, cocktails and being a bartender. Business meeting turned to Team building turned to Bartending turned to Happy Hour! read more

I had an awesome experience working with Elixir To Go and H. As I was planning the event, H and the Elixir team were super easy to communicate with and made my job planning the bar/beverage service a great experience. The cocktails were delicious too - they had the best specialty cocktails I have ever had at a party and were fun to work with on site. They have awesome fresh ingredients, homemade syrups and all of the fixings for a really fun cocktail experience - the guests loved everything H made! I highly recommend working with Elixir for your events! I look forward to working with them again soon! read more

Did a bartending class with Elixir with my company and had a great time! This isn't a class where you just go through slides and have at it with the ingredients. We really got to learn a bit more about the ingredients and history of the drinks we were making and everyone really enjoyed themselves. read more
