The level of care and precision in each step of the process is like witnessing an artist immersed in his craft and the garage floor is his canvas. I knew right away that I made the right decision to wait a couple of months for Sid to become available instead of pursuing other contractors who could complete the work sooner. I wanted the best and nothing less. Sid has outstanding communication. He always responded via text when I had questions, but more importantly took the time before the start of each day to explain what he was doing and why it was important. It was always easy to understand, but he offered more detail into the chemical processes and why some concrete products are better than others. I appreciated this level of insight and you can clearly see he is passionate about his craft on a level you rarely see these days. When we got closer to starting the work, Sid came out to inspect the garage floor in person, take measurements, offer suggestions, level set expectations, and choose the best flake color for the garage motif. He suggested that I also apply the epoxy on the foundation walls to match the floor. I loved that idea! I ended up choosing the schist flake color to go with my light gray walls and Sid took the time to search his phone for photos where schist was used on previous jobs. That helped cement (pun!) my choice. After we agreed upon everything, we were all set for the first day. Even though my garage floor was brand new, one of the four panels was raised a little higher than the others and therefore making the elevation uneven. I honestly thought it was something I was going to have to live with, but Sid was able to work his magic and make the higher panel flush with the others after 5 hours of concrete grinding. He said he fully expected to be able to make it flush but waited to share this information with me after the fact in case it wasn't possible. Day 1 in the books and already exceeding expectations. Overall, I'm here to tell you that if you want the absolute best for your garage floor then you have to hire Sid. I can't recommend him enough for his level of communication, pricing, professionalism, and passion. I am writing this review 8 months after install and my garage floor is still pristine and brings genuine joy every time I gaze upon it. I had two pair of new work gloves so I asked him if he would be interested in buying them, that I had ran out of gas. He said sorry he didn't have any change and got into his truck. I sat back in my car almost in tears when he got back out and handed me $4, but he didn't want the gloves. I don't know what changed his mind but I am forever greatful. Rewind to last year: We called Rudy out to give a quote on fixing a board that had broken on our fence. Our dog had jumped on the fence and it split. His quote turned into a full fence replacement. He even wiggled one of our poles to prove a point that a repair wouldn't suffice and that we needed a whole new fence. Quote $10,000. Reluctantly we moved forward with the whole fence replacement after a very pushy sales pitch. We were quoted two/three days. And it took an entire week. Having three dogs without a fenced in yard was a hassle. His crew was nice but they worked an entire day with no lunch or break. When it came time to pay we were in a war with Rudy over form of payment. Cash/check was pushed over and over again. Very uncomfortable conversations to be having Fast forward to today and I'm finding cement ALL OVER MY YARD. We paid for the old cement to be removed. I am so dumbfounded that this is even happening. Yeah the fence is 'nice' but now we are going to spent more money on taking this crap to the dump. Save yourself the headache and go to a professional. Someone who will clean up after themselves and not have pushy sales pitches. Oh and the entire week we were told - you need a new roof I can do it for $25,000 - you need to paint your house I can do it for $10,000 - you need to treat your wood here. I can do it for whatever.
