Nick Santoro did an excellent job of installing Vinyl Plank flooring in my home. He ground down the areas where the cement was uneven making for a very smooth floor. The baseboard installation was beautiful. He was clean, polite and professional. The installation was reasonably priced and I feel I got a good value. read more

"The customer is always wrong." seems to be their moto. I did a full remodel of 2 bathrooms. The contractor himself never came to my home until the day before work began. They always push for the more expensive option, whether or not it will actually work. For example, they installed a heater/fan unit suitable for a room of 1500 ft2 in a 50 ft2 bathroom. That is actually useless, to powerful to be used. On the first room they never did the cleanup. When they had been in my house for a solid 7 weeks, I decided to have people over once and so I did all the cleanup. They left a toilet in my front yard for 5 weeks. The bathtub was delivered in a big wooden box, which then stayed permanently in my garage. I got rid of it by advertising on "Marketplace" freebies. New doors for a linen cabinet were part of the job, and appeared as a line item in the original estimate. They completely forgot about this. It took something like 8 weeks to get cabinet doors. I could have driven to Home Depot and painted them myself any weekend. They acted as if this was a late change request made by the owner, and tried to charge me double for the task. Similarly a bench in the shower stall was an original part of the estimate (and a reason for the job - to make an elderly person's bathroom). In the end they claimed it was never meant to be a bench to sit on, just a soap dish. Oh, then why is there all this left-over tile? Tile that was meant to cover the space of the bench, the bench which appears in your plans. The creme de la creme - after installing an air jet tub THEY THREW AWAY THE REMOTE CONTROL. This model works only with a remote, no other control panel. I do not know whether they realized the mistake, or only figured it out when I began to ask. Then after many, many weeks of waiting for the replacement remote, they never - to this day never- did the final step to connect the remote to the works and test operation. I did it myself by reading the manual: With remote in hand turn breaker off and on, run inside within 30 seconds with remote and hit a certain series of buttons. On a $4000 bathtub you would think they'd check if it works. Bathroom vanity: I was charged $1700 for a custom built item, but it was not the item I had requested and in fact was delivered to my home BEFORE I signed off on this part of the job. That tells me it had been built for someone else. The typical understanding is that when paying higher prices for a custom item, one gets what one wants. Instead I get high price and not what I wanted. I had designed 3 small drawers, and got 2 enormous drawers. It was probably a unit left over from someone else's kitchen. In January they sent me a duplicate bill which I'd paid in full in October. I was easily able to demonstrate my payment, but of course that took about 2 hours of agitation. I walked in asking for linoleum. Real linoleum is a green product, and is luxurious. I should have walked out when they told me it was impossible to have linoleum. Well, despite the stellar reviews here, which was what prompted me to contact them in the first place, I'm very disappointed to report that their extremely lax...& even lack of response to multiple communication attempts with 2 prominent people within the company...one of which was the owner, after having given them the benefit of the doubt, indicate there's more (or less) to their MO than these 5 star reviews indicate. No wonder they need to advertise on TV, instead of rely on word-of-mouth advertising. read more

Highly recommend Elite for home renovations, as well as smaller handyman tasks! We hired them to update our kitchen and bathrooms, along with a complete remodel of our master bathroom, and many smaller repairs and updates that we needed in our new house. Jerry, the owner, was open about the team being really busy when we started working with them, but they were still able to schedule us quickly and were strategic when planning what they could get done first. Once they started the work, there was someone working at our house every weekday, and sometimes even on the weekend. Albert was really great to work with in the showroom and spent a lot of time with us while we were choosing our countertops and shower tile. We already had a clear vision of what we wanted and supplied most of the materials ourselves, but everyone we worked with was really accommodating and was also sure to give us their professional opinion if they knew something wasn't the best idea. Jerry was understanding and flexible when we needed to put the project on hold to finish a flooring project that we had already started with another contractor, and they completed our project quickly after we had resumed. Jerry and his team really care about the quality of work and want clients to be happy- they even redid some work on our custom shower to make sure everything met our expectations. Elite Construction in Santa Barbara came in and fixed poor work from another subcontractor. They had to correct cabinet work in my kitchen that was not done properly (according to plans). Jerry, (the owner) gave me an hourly rate to fix the work and Roberto (site supervisor) worked with Cesar and did excellent work bringing the kitchen into specification. The difference between the two contractors was day and night. Roberto had excellent suggestions that brought my expectations/ideas to life. They listened (to me) and then performed the work flawlessly and did not mind stopping to discuss any issues. The end result . . . outstanding. I got exactly what I wanted the way I wanted. I would not hesitate to use them again. In fact, I plan on using them again to remodel my bathrooms. Look at the before and after pictures and you can see their outstanding work, what you can't see are the hundreds of corrections they had to do to bring the kitchen into specification.
