I would not recommend. Took my 4runner in for an estimate to replace a 3" lift. Got the estimate and they identified other issues with the vehicle. I told them I would take it to my mechanic to look over the additional items they found and bring it back for the lift install. Charged me a $165 diagnostic fee that they told me would be applied to the job when I brought it back. After ordering the parts from them I wanted to review what I owed for the job before the installation started. They then told me the $165 diagnostic fee would NOT apply to the job. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? They want another $1150 for an alignment and to swap out control arms and front/rear shocks. INSANE!!!!! If you add the $165 diagnostic fee back in that is $1350. Oh yeah, don't forget the additional $100 shop charge. So now we are up to $1450. As my late father would say, "They are crooks." To date I'm out $1749.77 (includes part cost, $165 diagnostic fee, 3% credit card fee, and tax) for a Rough Country lift and a set of Icon control arms. I could have purchased the parts online for $1246.33 with tax and shipping included. Cancelled my installation with them. They are not getting a penny more from me. In hindsight, I should have tried to cancel the parts order too. Took my parts and will install myself or go to another shop. When I went to pick up my parts they wanted to charge me $185 tax. 10% tax on my parts is $140.00. They had some added bogus shop fee in with the tax. They ended up correcting it after I pointed it out. Shop around as their labor rate is $150/hr and there are shops in Birmingham with much less labor rates. Also took them 2 weeks to get parts that were in stock everywhere online. They also tried to give me some parts that had been on the shelf for a very long time and where opened. Box was covered in caked on dust and the label was very faded. Rough Country sticker in the box was yellow and faded. These parts were clearly old stock. They denied it. They ended up ordering all new parts, so they deserve a cookie for that. I was warned that they are very expensive but did not shop around. Don't make the same mistake I made. If you get work done at this shop you are getting taken to the cleaners on labor. I would also be concerned if they are using old stock parts as well. I realize running a business is expensive these days and labor rates are up but when you tell a customer that the diagnostic fee will be deducted from the cost of the job and you back track it will piss people off. They are already charging a premium and then pull a stunt like that. I'm fed up with stuff like this. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had with getting parts installed on my Truck. I purchased an intake and boost tube for my RAM 2500 from Elite Offroad and Performance with labor to install them. Along with the installation, I talked with the desk guy about changing all my truck fluids with Amsoil products and went ahead and added them to the order. I dropped the truck off a few weeks later to install the parts. The installation alone took a couple of weeks (It should if taken a day or two), and I had issues with the truck for the next two months. I would pick up the truck and drive it for less than 75 miles, and it would just start throwing codes. And they would say, "Can you bring it back and leave it for a few days" and this went on for a month or so. Then finally, one of the batteries they sold me died, and the truck sat at their shop for six weeks (Dec 19th -Jan 31st), and they could not FIX the truck. They had to take it to the RAM dealership twice to get fixed, once with the aftermarket parts and once after I had them put the stock parts back on. After the second time, I picked up my vehicle; after RAM fixed it, the following things were missing or damaged on my truck. I have scratches all over the grill from their mechanics leaning over the motor (every other place lays down a cover to prevent this), missing the EGR heat plate brackets and bolts, and the windshield washer no -longer works. And I am 100% positive none of the fluids I bought were AMSOIL. The truck had a KN oil filter, and I sent the oil to Blackstone labs to get analyzed and still waiting on the results. I also purchased two odyssey batteries from Elite Offroad and Performance. And within a couple of months, one of the batteries died, and I had to wait three weeks for a replacement. I had to take my truck to a reputable diesel mechanic to have it looked over once it was picked up and had all the fluids changed because who knows if they even changed anything but the oil filter. I'll update this review once I get the results on the oil. The last time I drove past this place, it was on fire. Good luck with your truck or jeep there to get fixed. read more

Have had several upgrades / modifications to my 2016 Wrangler. Great service and quality work

I can't say enough good things about Elite Off Road and Performance! Seeing this was my first JEEP build, I had SO many questions and felt like every place I went told me something different. Josh and the rest of the team took time to walk me through the pros and cons of every aspect of my build, and did a great job setting very realistic expectations. I never felt like I was being "sold" , and I always felt like my questions were welcomed. The team also helped me figure out a plan to build out in phases so that it fit within my budget. I recently picked up my Jeep ( wheels/tires/lift ), and it was better than I could have ever expected on both looks and drive!!! Within an hour of leaving, I received a follow up call to make sure I was happy, and answers any additional questions. We were misquoted price to have 4Runner to be leveled. Hourly labor price and alignment is higher than some other off road competitors. Was told to bring back after 500 miles for re-torquing without an appointment. Showed up but they said they were too busing to re-torque. We then made an appointment and showed up but they said it would have to be left and not sure when they could get to it. They then tried to charge $117.00 but offered to cut price in half to re-torque. The re-torque is part of the safety and is always included in the original job quoted. My daughter left upset because of charges and had to be at work. I called and spoke with Devon and he said they do not offer free services. I told him this should be included as part of original services paid. He put me on hold and called his boss-owner and then told me it was all a misunderstanding and they had 2 techs call in and they were short staffed. We will take our vehicle somewhere else to make our 4Runner safe and to check their work. They have lost all trust with us. I have also used them in the past for out Jeep but will now not be using their business. It appears management has lost touch with their business and lacking involvement. read more
