Save your money..go elsewhere. I was desperate due to chipping nails. If I could give zeros stars I would. Terrible attitude, cattle call mentality, employees don't speak or understand English, cheap products, by far the worst gel manicure I have ever received. Who the hell puts lotion on your hands before your manicure is complete??? My nails look look like a toddler painted them. This place only stays in business because of tourists. 30 Dollars for just polish....no trim, filing or lotion is unreasonable. And 25 dollars for just polish on kids is ridiculous. Last year the 8 of us had a great spa day here, this year it was terrible and twice the price, we will definitely not be back. read more

This is worst place EVER to get your nails done. Be warned DO NOT GO HERE!!! If I could have given it negative 10 stars I would have. The owner was in such a rush to do my nails and I told him how bad he was doing. They were sloppy and I told him and he started yelling at me. Then he wanted to take pictures of my nails! Weirdo!! The gel polish was cheap and my nails are sticky and have hairs in them. They don't sanitize their instruments either. I paid for extra on the pedicure and that was a waste. I received no extra anything!! Now I have to go somewhere else to get them fixed. What an awful experience for a vacation. Save your money and go somewhere else!!! I hope they go out of business. And who yells at their customers?? Really?? No one should ever have to experience what my daughter and I just experienced there today! read more

DON'T GO HERE! I went in for just a fill and after they did my nails they felt like sandpaper! I informed the lady they were rough and she said no no no. They nice! She then continued to put gel over top and I again told her they were rough and she said "they fine". They were not fine. They are a mess. Worse than when I went in. Guess I'll have to wait and get them done right when I get home. And not to mention RUDE! Wish I could leave 0 stars! And they actually charged me 30.00 for a fill. This place was AWFUL! Worst pedicure I have EVER gotten (and I have gotten a lot of pedicures!) They only worked on my for 10 minutes...anywhere else I go I would at least be in the chair for 45 minutes. The lady I had was rude and couldn't understand a thing I said. She cut my nails crooked, she put some gross smelling lotion on me, I did not get a leg or foot massage AT ALL or a scrub put on my legs-which I have at every other place I have ever gone. Also, the nail polish was applied sloppy and the top coat she put on very goopy and it ran all over my toes. My cousin and Aunt got a manicure and they did not even put lotion on their hands. This place is a joke! I have never been more disappointed. I am paying you-so do your job! read more

We went to the Elite nails in Nags Head near the house we were renting. Myself and my sister went in to get pedicures and I also had a manicure. I get pedicures and manicures fairly often at home in Virginia Beach, VA, so I know how both of these should be for a basic mani/pedi. We opted for deluxe pedi which cost $15 more than a regular one. I was incredibly disappointed. The bottoms of my feet nor my sisters were scraped(or whatever proper term is) to get rid of dead skin. My toenails were cut down as I asked, but cleaned aroun edges etd. Because we opted for the higher level pedi we got a mud pack on our legs which had to remain for a few minutes. While this mud pack was on my legs she decided to do my manicure with out soaking. My fingernails were barely filed and cuticles were not done as the entire manicure was done while i was sitting in pedicure chair that isn't set up for that. The tech was standing while doing the manicure without proper lighting. The manicure might have taken 6 or 7 minutes to complete. If I had just wanted polish, I could have gotten my daughter to paint my nails. I would not reccommend this nail salon to anyone. I understand that it can get busy during the season , however people still expect to get decent services that they pay for. read more

During my most recent visit, they were very nice and did a great job on my mani/pedi. I didn't feel like they were trying to rush me out the door, and they kept asking if everything was OK. Absolute WORST pedicure I have EVER received. Does NOT deserve even a single star. My first nail technician pulled out a clearly used and dirty nail file, proceeded to cut the skin just under my big toe with said nail file to the point of drawing blood, didn't even bother to acknowledge that she had cut me, couldn't understand me when I asked questions...then I switch to another technician who sprayed alcohol in my still bleeding cut without warning, then switched to another who began painting my nails the wrong color, then couldn't open the bottle of polish I HAD picked out, had me pick another color completely, and then proceeded to quickly and sloppily paint my toe nails using one coat, no overcoat, and got nail polish in the cut left by the previous technician. All of this was after a thirty to thirty five minute wait in which my feet were soaking and turning to prunes. I will absolutely NEVER return. The whole experience was so awful I actually feel that I may need to see a podiatrist to be sure I didn't wind up with any infections. Totally unprofessional horrendous experience. My toe is still in pain and it's been several hours. The second I left I went to pick up remover from the grocery store next door to try and undo the terrible pedicure I received. I will not go back to this salon. The water for my pedicure was cold so thank goodness they only let them soak for a minute and half. They cut my toe nails, but didn't file them to smooth out the edges. A monkey could have done a better job with the polish...ugh. Again, water for the manicure was cold and I got a whopping 30 second soak time. I told the manicurist that I was particularly interested in getting my cuticles cleaned up. Didn't happen; cuticles where no better when I walked out--not pushed back at all. One hand they filed, the other hand didn't get such attention. One of the worst manicure/pedicures I have ever had and I've had a lot! Very disappointing. read more

We now live on the Outer Banks so my daughter and I have been to Elite Nails twice a couple weeks apart -- I get french manicures with gel, and daughter got a full set of acrylics the first time and had them filled the second. We are very happy with our nails! My manicure lasted longer than any I've ever had and I appreciated the way she took time to really clip the dead skin around my nails. My daughter appreciated how the lady did exactly what my daughter wanted with her nail shape. We plan to go back. read more
