By day 6 of having a dip powder set, 3 of my nails had already broken. One broke in under 24 hours and the same day I got that one repaired, my right index chipped. I asked for another layer of powder when I first got them done but the employee said it was already on too thick. Called for appointment for a friend and I- my friend was getting a gel manicure and I was getting a gel pedicure & acrylic fill with gel. I'd called the day before the appointment to confirm and said we could do earlier or later depending on what worked for them, and the lady on the phone was more than accommodating and said no, 11 am will be just fine. So we get to the nail salon at 11:00 a.m., sign in and they seemed really confused about what we wanted and who was going to do the service, etc. The lady told us to pick out our colors and then we didn't see the box of acrylic colors they usually have out so we were just like awkwardly looking at the Gel polishes on the wall behind the cash register so the employees were trying to get in and out around us and it was just odd. Then they finally brought the gel color box up to the front and ushered us over to this little table in the walkway to look at colors while people walked around us and it was just kind of awkward. They kept having to stop and start services based on what tools they had and swap tools back and forth and it was kind of annoying for everyone. The lady doing my pedicure was really gentle with clipping my cuticles which I can definitely appreciate ... I wish they had a better, more cohesive way of managing appointments and time management. read more

Today i had planned to go get my nails done. I've been here a couple times before and been so incredibly pleased with my results. But today, i walked out in tears. To start with, i asked for a manicure and a full set. The lady who first helped me continuously tried to get me to do dip and not acrylics. I've done acrylics before, i like it, i know it, it's what i asked for. But she continued to tell me dip was better like i was making a poor choice. Lady, it's what i asked for, it's what i am paying for, give me what i want and shut up. Then, she starts the full set, without giving me a manicure (and believe me, my fingers really needed that manicure attention). She puts the fake nails on 3 of my nails and files them to match my other nails that she didn't give any attention to and they looked horrible. She then passed me over to someone else to finish the process. So now my fingers are all different lengths, mostly short and stubby, and i never got any kind of manicure. It was horrible service, rushed, and actually hurt because they didn't tend to the nails with a freaking manicure like i asked for. Anyway, i won't be back. I'm going to find a better spot to get my nails done. read more

The lady who did my nails seemed to be in a really bad mood from the beginning to the end. She even didn't look at me and talked rudely. That make me feel really uncomfortable. I was debating which color to choose and ask for her suggestions. No suggestions just commanded " look at the sample ". When asked whether I could try the color, she gave a firm no... And emphasized again look at the sample! It's a common sense that the sample only tells limited story of the color since you can apply multiple layers and ppl's skin colors vary and is not as the sample board - 100% paper white. So I kindly reminded her " are you in bad mood"? She became pretty defensive and repeat twice why she didn't try me try the color. .. And told me "our skin colors are very similar , I know what you like!" You know what I like?! Because we both are Asian ? Don't joke in front of me plz ... However I didn't say more in front her because it's not worthwhile to explain . Not a friendly salon however I did enjoy the rose oil they use there, so I give 2 stars instead of 1. read more

Horrible... I take my daughter next door for her braces and figured I try it this time. Beautiful place but high in price. I paid 30$ for a fill, wyen I asked why I was told because of the lenght if my nails. The cashier stated that its usually 20$ but mine would be more. I qas floored and didnt even have a reply. I have been getting my nails done for over 20 yrs and never paid more than 18 for a fill. I would never go back, it was not worth it. read more

I had an amazing experience from my shellac manicure the young man just really took his time it was very detailed we have a personal conversation and he is a social studies major just the staff in general and everyone was very smiley and sweet and then later that day I end up scheduling another appointment because the first time slot for the next available appointment so alreadyso I came back later that afternoon and ended up getting a signature spa deluxe pedicure with my favorite scent of lavender it was well worth it the chair massages were great the people were sweet and the service was everything that I needed him more --and last but definitely not least they offer a variety of beverages from water to juices to Champagne whatever cocktails mixes or cosmos on my team as you desire they have them all and available to you during your service read more

I visit the area frequently got business and was in desperate need of a fill so chose this nail salon based on the Yelp reviews saying that they were friendly and an English speaking spa. The salon is beautifully decorated and easy to get to. I came in on a Monday night and they were slow. I started with one gal and another lady took over. I was baffled by the lady who took over and it seemed she was the manager. She was very rude and didn't talk to me at all. After a few minutes I realized she hadn't cut my nails down (spaced off, it is nice and calming in there) so I told her I'd also like them cut down. She gave me a look and said rudely, "Next, ask me before I file your nails." Well, in all the 17 years I've been getting my nails done, never have I had to mention this, they've always asked...but, ok. She told me "go wash your hands"...having never been there before and where I was seated, I didn't readily see the sink so I asked. She pointed to the sink and said rudely "right there"...ok. I changed my mind on my polish after seeing another girl's color and this seemed to upset my lady...she was visibly annoyed and short with me as I picked my new color. She got the first coat done and I asked for "glitter"...this did not go over well. She begrudgingly helped me get a glitter top coat. I frequently told her "thank you" because I do appreciate her good work and she did a nice job. I sat to dry my nails and she left me there forever and was speaking to another gal in an angry tone so I assume she was complaining about me, but oh well. Finally the original gal came over and gave me a fast dry topcoat and said 5 more minutes...I waited, timed it...no one came back. They were cleaning up to close (it wasn't 7 yet...). Finally I got up and the gal came to ring me up. My total was $20 and I tipped $15 because I thought maybe I'd been a jerk because I changed my polish color and asked for glitter, clearly I'm indecisive. The lady saw this and I again said "thank you". She literally GRUNTED at me...no thank you, come back again, no problem...nothing. She grunted and turned away. I walked out at 7:05...they close at 7, (I went in before 6). I get wanting to be done for the day. I get it may have been a long day. But it had been a long day for me too. I'm a mom of 3, traveled since 3am, then worked all day and decided to take an hour to enjoy myself...and got treated like I was a pain and waste of time. She made me feel incredibly stupid and I find that sad, especially in the business she is in. She did nice work, but nothing extraordinary or that I couldn't have gotten elsewhere. Thao provides the BEST shellac manicures and pedicures in TN. My nails are always perfect with zero flaws and last over 2 weeks. This was unheard of in my past experiences! Thao is so pleasant and makes me smile from entry to exit. I love her infectious, sweet spirit. The nail salon closed at 7. I arrived at 6:15. I asked the lady who greeted me if they had enough time before closing to do my nails and she said yes. Another lady came out to actually do my nails. The entire time she did my nails she went off on me. She said "i can't believe you came in this close to closing, I'll teach you to come in this late, i guess you don't care that my kids are at home and need their dinner!" This was the most miserable experience I have ever had!! I clearly said when i arrived that if they didn't have enough time I could come back the next day. It was ok with me if they said they didn't have enough time before closing. I will tell everyone I know not to visit this nail salon. Today I decided to stop by the salon to get my natural nails cut and shaped. I was ushered to a seat and was assisted within 5 minutes. I was offered a bottled water, which I declined, but I was impressed since they were aware I wasn't getting my nails polished. Lisa asked how I wanted them shaped and did an amazing job making sure they looked uniform. I didn't have a lot of time for lunch so I didn't get any other service. Surly service at front desk I've never been in before the girl at front didn't greet me I wrote name down finally she said rudely it will be a 30 min wait I said ok I've never been in I had to ask where the Shellac colors were to pick out. I know it's a busy afternoon but at least be nice to me I'm here to be pampered! Once seated Ann did a nice job and was friendly. She brought me water and did a quick Shellac polish. Cost was steep $25 plus tip without manicure but the nails look great. Wait was 30 min and her service took less than 20 min. I went with a few of my girlfriends and we were having a good time and the staff that were doing our pedicures were laughing right along with us and joking with us, which made us feel much more welcome! My 15 year old daughter and I had plans to get pedicures but could not pinpoint a specific time to schedule an appointment ahead of time. As a walk-in client, I was completely impressed with the pleasant greeting and accommodating staff. The place was spotless and well decorated. There was relaxing music playing and the lighting was perfect for functionality without being overwhelming. We waited briefly, an even shorter time than quoted, yet no customer before us seemed to be shorted on her time. There were thousands of color choices and plenty of choices of scented oils. We only had basic pedicures, but got thorough service. The massage chairs were some of the best I've ever felt. The decor was more upscale Than any nail spa I've ever been in. I have been going to Kathy's nails for many years. They were very rude to me and I said I would never go back. I heard about Elite so I gave it a try. It is $5. higher, but the girl spent a good 25-30 mins just getting the dead skin off and cutting my nails. The warm oil is great on my feet and calves. It is nice and clean and I will go back. Without a doubt, this is the most calming nail experience I've ever had. The atmosphere is delightful- no loud phones, just calm conversations, soft spa music playing in the background. The polishes are neatly displayed for easy picking. And there wasn't any fear of being talked about (ala Elaine from Seinfeld) because the technicians spoke English exclusively. Very disappointed in the service. I've been here a few times, but customer service seems to be declining in the past few months. I brought my two young daughters here for a birthday gift, and called ahead to see if they were available to do 3 pedicures (the lady on the phone said yes). The salon was empty of customers (except one lady finishing up a manicure) and 4 employees were hanging around, chatting or on their phones. After making us wait 5 minutes (while they continued to chat, text on their phones, Etc) they told us they couldn't get us in for another hour and we would have to come back. Needless to say... Not friendly at all. As a new customer, the salon was not aesthetically appealing. The floors were dirty, the waiting area seating was in desperate need of cleaning and there was a terrible smell like someone had been cooking food. I was most disappointed that the staff did not greet me when I walked in. There were 2 ladies behind the counter and neither of them smiled or asked if I needed assistance. This is a service industry, and there is a lot of great competition right around them. I will not be coming back here. read more

She actually got loud and noted that I must have called the wrong Elite because she was there all day...I did call the wrong Elite(my bad). I can not say enough nice things about this place or its staff. My daughter has been going to this spa for years, and now I'm hooked. They go out of their way to make sure your visit is enjoyable. I have been to spas where it's easy to tell who is a regular customer and who is not. Not here. Everyone is treated like they are special. Finally, they always have a wide selection of polish colors available. I have never had to settle for a color. Just the opposite, I usually have a hard time narrowing down my choice. read more
