Workers were rude and didn't greet us as we walked in. Not many color options for dip powder - I also didn't realize they didn't do regular gel polish. My nail tech also proceeded to make jokes about my fingers, which were in a joking manner but were taken too far and dragged out through the entire appointment. read more

I popped in yesterday for a quick gel manicure. I've been there a few other times and was always disappointed with the outcome. Decided to write the review because it's not any better. First the manicurist did not use clean instruments. Most salons have sanitized packaged instrument. i immediately came home and had to file out several bumps. Polish on the cuticles, which will result in shorter last time. Overall messy work. I won't go back. The tech I had needs retraining. She was moving too fast. I had a dipping gel manicure that I was told would be safe and gentle on my nails because it is organic. I loved the manicure as it stayed on well. When I had the polish removed after soaking and the drill was used, which left a ridge where the nails had grown out, my nails started peeling and cracking. I don't know if it was the drill or the fact that they left me soaking for well over 30 minutes. All I know is my nails have never looked this damaged. I will never go to Riverside Nails again. They do have warnings on the wall saying you have the right to refuse the drill. I saw the sign when I went to talk to the owner after I saw the condition of my nails. He said the drill can cause this damage. They should tell you this before and ask you is if you still want the drill that will ruin your healthy nails. See picture of nails below. read more

Well.. I was greeted when I came in and told to get a color.. after this I became frustrated. Why? I sat down and waited 20 mins before I was told to come to the back. (Time I probably would've been ok with if I was soaking my feet) so They decided to do my nails first. Once I got to the back I waited another 10 mins before they started. The guy did my fill. It was actually pretty good! That's what my two stars are for. He did the acrylic then I sat another 5 mins or so for him to go to another table and start on someone else's nails. Then came back to buff mine. After buffing I waited, yet again, another 5 mins or so and another girl came over to polish. Not before asking me for $45 to pay for my fill and pedicure (which I haven't had done yet remember) so I told her I didn't want the pedicure because I'm going on almost an hour for a fill and there's 3 more people in the back already soaking before me. So like I said no to the pedicure and she said well do you want to put tip on here.I said no just fill. She insisted on the tip! She asked again and I told her no thank you. So once again she said "so you're not going to tip?" I just looked. I understand the nail salon is time consuming. I've been to plenty of shops and spent well over an hour almost two, but it's relaxing and not a mad house with people waiting! I'm going to give them a try on the pedicure in a week or so, hopefully on a calmer day, because when I was watching one lady give one she massaged the world out of the two I got to see. Lol UPDATE I went earlier in the day this time and there was no crowd. Still a wait time though. I'm still trying to understand the back and forth between clients instead of just finishing one up and going to the next. Anyways, my actual fill was quick. Didn't take much time at all. I really tried to give this place a chance since people rave about it so much but these people only cherish wanna be privileged white people. The only time their behavior changed was when my family pulled up in a nice car and they all of a sudden acted like they loved me. Anywho-I went today after a month because last time I got a shellac here , it peeled off in 3 days and i spent $42 on that mani. This time I got dip for the first time. First, i ask them if they can draw a leaf on one of my finger and they tell me it's too short -okay. Then I tell them I want the ombré dip color and they tell me my nails are too short-ok-I ignore it not thinking anything of it. Finally, they get ready to do it and are still telling me it won't look good and I'm like no I want it -add nails if you need to then they make up this thing that I bite my tip off and I'm like never have I ever said that?? Also, the girl who initially started on my mani cut into my skin and my pinky is hurting so much and the other lady who was doing my dip saw my pinky bleeding and couldn't even bother to treat it. Anyway they didn't want to add the nails because it would take long and it was already past 730 and this B gon tell me they close at 7 when on the freaking door it says 730. But basically my nails cute are AF and they did not want to do it because it took time then they charged me whatever they felt like charging me. I always leave them a good tip every single time I go in there but I guess I don't make enough or am not white enough to deserve any respect or proper treatment. My sister-in-law and I came in to get manicures done before wedding later that day. At first they misunderstood what we wanted, and tried to sit us in for pedis. We eventually were seated for manis, thankfully side by side. While we don't get manis very often, we were surprised that this was a basic, no frills, not even a hand soaking in water kind of manicure. The lady who worked on me spent a lot of time looking up at the front reception area, and not looking at the cuticles she was cutting. She was not at all thorough, and I was correcting her work as she did it. My nails did look better when I walked out, but within 24 hours, the nail polish was starting to peel off in sheets. At least I made it to the wedding intact. I would not go here again, unless someone else was paying. read more

This is my favorite nail salon! They always do a wonderful job and use top quality polish and shellac. They put on multiple layers so you have a nice thick polish. They are always smiling and courteous and even though they can get very busy, they are still very thorough and I have never received a sloppy manicure or pedicure. They always take their time. Hands down, my favorite nail salon in the Memphis and Suburban areas. (Pun intended) read more

My friends and I are visiting from out of town and went to this salon based on a plethora of good online reviews. We were all incredibly disappointed based on our individual experiences. Many of our nails were cut crookedly and left this way, one employee was on her phone making personal calls throughout my friend's manicure, and overall we were treated without much professionalism, courtesy, or attention to detail. I was left waiting in between steps of my manicure. They are understaffed. The left old polish on my nails on the tips and in the corners. They left hang nails on the edges of multiple nails.
