Unfortunately left my manicure with my cuticles looking worst than when I walked in

Very slow service. Did not get what I paid for. Unfortunately I left with my cuticles looking worse than before I walked in

I had a dipping gel manicure that I was told would be safe and gentle on my nails because it is organic. I loved the manicure as it stayed on well. When I had the polish removed after soaking and the drill was used, which left a ridge where the nails had grown out, my nails started peeling and cracking. I don't know if it was the drill or the fact that they left me soaking for well over 30 minutes. All I know is my nails have never looked this damaged. I will never go to Riverside Nails again. They do have warnings on the wall saying you have the right to refuse the drill. I saw the sign when I went to talk to the owner after I saw the condition of my nails. He said the drill can cause this damage. They should tell you this before and ask you is if you still want the drill that will ruin your healthy nails. See picture of nails below.

Well.. I was greeted when I came in and told to get a color.. after this I became frustrated. Why? I sat down and waited 20 mins before I was told to come to the back. (Time I probably would've been ok with if I was soaking my feet) so They decided to do my nails first. Once I got to the back I waited another 10 mins before they started. The guy did my fill. It was actually pretty good! That's what my two stars are for. He did the acrylic then I sat another 5 mins or so for him to go to another table and start on someone else's nails. Then came back to buff mine. After buffing I waited, yet again, another 5 mins or so and another girl came over to polish. Not before asking me for $45 to pay for my fill and pedicure (which I haven't had done yet remember) so I told her I didn't want the pedicure because I'm going on almost an hour for a fill and there's 3 more people in the back already soaking before me. So like I said no to the pedicure and she said well do you want to put tip on here.I said no just fill. She insisted on the tip! She asked again and I told her no thank you. So once again she said "so you're not going to tip?" I just looked. I understand the nail salon is time consuming. I've been to plenty of shops and spent well over an hour almost two, but it's relaxing and not a mad house with people waiting! I'm going to give them a try on the pedicure in a week or so, hopefully on a calmer day, because when I was watching one lady give one she massaged the world out of the two I got to see. Lol UPDATE I went earlier in the day this time and there was no crowd. Still a wait time though. I'm still trying to understand the back and forth between clients instead of just finishing one up and going to the next. Anyways, my actual fill was quick. Didn't take much time at all. I guess I can make my review 3 stars ‍

I got my nails dipped and had the detox pedicure which bith were great! My nails look uniform. My cuticles look nice. I would say the inky take away is that they buffering while shaping the nails was a little painful when shaping around the cuticle. With that said, she finished with cuticle oil and made sure that my nails were neat despite not getting the manicure. Ilof course it can come off pricey but the overall experience was very high quality so this will be the new staple for me.

Those are the two positives. I see others have given them 5 stars and hate to be the one to give lower. But I'd have to lie about our one time experience. I will never return because of these reasons: 1. Whatever kind of normal nail polish they use, it is either a poor quality brand that does not last 3 days on your nails....or they dilute the brand they use and it is very thin with no protective coat applied on top. 2. I left the salon not realizing that one of my legs was not rinsed off from the pedicure. The salt scrub had dried and I didn't feel it until I got in my car and sticky granules went everywhere. 3. My friend got a special "cat eye" metallic manicure with tips and told the technician not to cut her cuticles. I echoed to not cut them to him because he didn't seem to listen. He hurried through the manicure so fast and began to cut the cuticles regardless and made my friends finger bleed immediately and she stopped him. 4. The cost was outrageous for the poor quality of polish, lack of protective coating on the polish, a very low quality pedicure/massage, the drive-through service and ignoring instructions for my friend. Outrageously expensive as they nickel and dime you for every little detail.

Our nail date was an addition to her self-care day for an event she had later on that evening. My good-humored friend received a manicure as I received a pedicure before helping her get beautified for "Night to Shine" sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. I'm speaking on behalf of my pedicure experience by Daisy as a first time customer. I didn't have an appointment but never waited longer than five minutes to be seated at a pedicure bowl. I stuck with a gel combination I'm familiar with so I didn't waste time on color swatches. If you have never or constipated on receiving gel on your toes, GET IT! The best transition I have made years ago and don't plan on switching back to regular nail polish. The charge is more due to a choice of drilling off the previous gel polish, which's what I prefer. Or soaking off, which in my opinion takes exceedingly longer! Plus the reapplication of gel polish with your new pedicure service. Since I didn't pay for my gel (classic) pedicure service, I wouldn't be able to give the exact pricing of Elite Nail Spa but I'm normally paying around ($60-$70). The breakdown would look similar to this: ($50) for a classic pedicure, ($6) to soak or drill off and ($12) for reapplying. Daisy, my pedicurist, wasn't fluent so other members from Elite Nail Spa staff had to translate a few of my request. Such as my water, it's essential for it to be steaming hot almost to the point of boiling hot water! Is it the safest route? No but once you're seated for a pedicure and the nail technician takes her time without rushing, eventually the water gets cold. I rather for it to be boiling hot to luke-warm than luke-warm to cold. My last few request was making sure my shape is squared at all three corners on all ten toes, the clarification of my gel color combination, and cleaning any access polish around my toenails/skin. Daisy executed each one of my request! I basked in every minute of my foot massage and my toes still look + feel like I have new feet after two weeks. In the future, if I'm ever in a bind and Daisy is available, I will be requesting for her.

When the…read morefront desk told the technician she would be doing my pedicure, she visibly huffed and seemed annoyed that she had to do it. As a customer, that immediately made me feel unwelcome and embarrassed. Unfortunately, the service itself reflected that attitude. I paid $100 for this pedicure, and the quality was very poor. My feet still had visible dry skin, and it did not appear that proper callus removal or exfoliation was done. The pumice work was minimal, and overall the pedicure looked rushed and unfinished. I am not a confrontational person, so I still paid for the service because it had already been done, but I was honestly not pleased with the results at all. For the price and the way the technician reacted from the start, the experience did not match what should come with a $100 pedicure. A pedicure especially at that price should include thorough care, attention to detail, and respectful service. Instead, I left feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. Based on this experience, I would not return or recommend this salon to others.
