Today was my lucky day because I got to come here for a great student massage. I only paid $35 but it was well worth it! My massage therapist (Thomas) paid attention to where my knots were and focused mainly on those areas. He also was very considerate to ask how me how much pressure I wanted. I felt like my massage session was a mixture of shiatsu, deep tissue, and Lomi Lomi massage all in one! I left feeling super relaxed!

About the location: Yes, they left Ward Warehouse. They're now at their new location, 1130 N Nimitz Hwy, Honolulu, HI 96817, Nimitz Center. It's on the second floor of the complex, right above AAA office. You can either find parking on the first level (under the building or outside) and walk up the staircase by AAA, they'll be on your right. Or, if you park on the second level, just go all the way to the end where you see "Susan Page Modeling." Go to that entrance and you'll see the sign for Elite Massage Academy. Turn right, go all the way to the end of the hallway and they'll be on your left. When you go inside the door, the clinic is on your left, school on your right. Why am I taking time to write this review? Because, after my great massage yesterday from Wendell, I hope they succeed! I was a massage therapist for 18 years, so I know a good massage when I get one, and he has a true gift. He can tell the kind of pressure you need, can feel what's going on in your body and coaxes it to let go. You can feel in his hands that he genuinely respects and cares about his clients and loves the work, which is hard to find. I'm also a Reiki Master, and asked if he's been trained in energy work, was surprised when he said no. He's a natural, strong, peaceful energy. I made two more appointments with him and look forward to also trying the other therapists. Only $90 for a 90-minute massage ($55 for a student therapist) that was so much better than the expensive ones I've tried at other spas. But, missing a star because if aesthetics are important to you, the space is challenging...not gonna lie. The entrance isn't very inviting, I was a little worried to walk in, but once you're in, they're very welcoming, and there's a colorful mural by Emerald's Art Designs. That was a good call to put that there, since it adds some life to the space. There are only curtains between tables, so you can hear everything, although that's fairly typical for massage school clinics. The music was the free streaming that interrupts peaceful spa sounds with jarring advertisements. Maybe invest in an iPod. But I can tell they're doing their best. And the more customers who find them, the more they'll be able to do. Best of luck Elite Massage Academy!

We've been coming to this place for a few years now and it's such a hidden gem!!!! I HIGHLY recommend booking a session with JON BASS! He is freaking amazing and knows the human body so well. He works all your sore spots and brings in some stretching into the session as well. It's like a mixture of Lomi lomi, deep tissue and sports massage combo all in one! The prices are SO reasonable and I make sure to tip a little extra given the massage quality and professionalism of Jon. We always make sure to book a few sessions with Jon when we visit Oahu! Trust me... don't waste your money on the spas in the fancy hotels cause the massages there aren't as good as Jon's. I've tried them all and there isn't a better massage therapist on island!

I looked at some pictures on Yelp and figured out where it was. It's the big pink building Hawaiian paradise coffee. The school isn't listed outside the building. Drive around back and you will find it. I must say they have some serious CV rules. You wait inside your car and call the number listed on the door. They take your temperature and ask you questions about coughing , fever etc. He also said I needed to wash my hands for 20 seconds. Both parties are required to wear mask. He did give me one of those flimsy mask. I'm a rule follower and abided by all the rules. The massage was fine. He's said he was new and learning. I felt the price and level of service seemed fair. Probably $35 would be fair. They also charge an extra $5 for something I'm not sure. I would recommend it and remember they are students. I did leave a nice tip. He was very professional and seemed very sincere.

The receptionist then said "oh ok that makes sense" then said we will see you today at 1. Then the same receptionist called back 5 min later saying my appointment has to be Monday and I was ok with that but would have to change the time because of a conflicting appointment and we agreed for 3pm. I called back to make sure because I then remembered what she said about Rani not working on Mondays and wanted to make sure with Rani this would be ok. Rani answered and was upset and basically said they do not play games and said "now what" angered. So I said I do not want to be seen by them and will go somewhere else. I meant no disrespect and was confused on their scheduling and why they called me in the first place. I was pleased with Rani during our first conversation , she was very nice and informative. I hope she has a better day than today and hope she understands I met no disrespect. I also hope to find someone who can help me with my back problems through the VA... I was really hoping for help today my lower back muscles have been aching really bad over the past month and pain killers are not working. Sorry if their system reflects differently and I had no problem with going in on Monday but that seemed to really upset them that I had to change the time from 1 to 3pm due to my schedule. So sorry to have to upset anyone but they did call me first....

But it's a no frills, traditional shiatsu massage by talented specialists so just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. It's in an open space, fully clothed (so where loose comfortable clothing; not jeans etc) with no oil. It's targeted pressure points and not oiled like Swedish or Thai massages. They focus on the areas you escalate to them versus a full body massage. I saw both Kieko and Aya. I'd recommend both. Keiko for more precise pressure points and Aya for stronger broader technique. Both are attentive and focus on problematic areas you raise to them and will adapt their session with an intention to address that targeted area. Both genuinely seemed to care about my improvement and provide advise for after their session. Hope this place continues to do well.

But when I have a specific issue or pain that I hope shiatsu can help with, I come to Aisen. Of course, there's some overlap between the two types of massage. You can get shiatsu for tight muscles, relaxation, or stress relief. But where shiatsu really shines is when areas of my body are in need of healing. Clients remain fully clothed, and the shared treatment room is divided into separate areas by soft futons on a padded floor, each with a face rest similar to those on massage tables. Aisen has both male and female therapists, and in my experience, all are qualified professionals. That said, you may still like one therapist more than another, depending on your own preferences. Many sessions are conducted in silence, with only occasional quiet exchanges. Some clients, though, seem comfortable with therapists who engage more actively in conversation. Although I've been coming here for years, this morning was only my second treatment with one of the therapists there -- both times for specific issues. I like this person's thoroughness and pressure. And like the others I've seen here, the focus is on the whole body, not just the parts that ache. I made a follow-up appointment with this therapist.

It was a Sunday and I was looking for massage schools (students charge less and so the same job most of the time) and it was last minute. I looked on Yelp and found a few schools and massage places as well, but most are closed on a Sunday! If they were open, they didn't take a late appointment except for this school. I was so excited for a massage and then come home to relax for the end of the day is such an exceptional thing to do. Ashley was kind, her fingers were so strong and the pressure she had was perfect. She asked several times if I needed more pressure but because my body is so tight, I just figured a lighter pressure was perfect for now. I'm not sure if the massage was partly massage and partly reiki. The place was big and at the perfect temperature. Everything smelled clean and it was fresh. I felt comfortable and safe and was fully engrossed in relaxing and enjoying the massage. I did enjoy the full 75 minutes and felt so much better afterwards. I will return an thank you for a job well done! I recommend this simple pampering for anyone. Stress is so bad on the body and over time it causes all kinds of problems. I chose to invest in my bodies well being by visiting the "Quantum School of Massage and holistic healing" I was paired with Bryce as my Senior Student Massage Therapist. Our session started off with a quick consultation (body check-in) that would give him an idea of where to focus and any sensitivities; he asked me a few necessary questions and gave me the opportunity to share then invited me to dress down to my comfortability and get ready for a massage. About Bryce: Bryce was a very attentive and thorough therapist with steady energy that helped me feel comfortable in his hands. He verbally checked in a decent amount without asking too many things during our session which really allowed me the space to relax; he checked on pressure and I invited him to apply more and he adjusted perfectly. As someone who regularly gets massages it's always a great sign to me when you feel the therapist being really present and feeling into your body's reactions and slowing down or surrendering a certain part of the protocol in order to prioritize what your body is communicating and I was pleased to notice Bryce making these adjustments really naturally. I'd definitely recommend Bryce and would go back to him myself for a massage! Mahalo Nui Loa Bryce. Best wishes on your journey. About QSMHH, Booking was really easy go online or call, the environment was really calming as they played frequencies which standing alone have a ton of benefits but paired with a relaxing massage really create a beautiful space. The rooms are kind of created out of room dividers so if you're a person that needs lots of privacy to feel comfortable this might not be the place but it was overall pretty well laid out and personally I'd go back again. Student massages are $45 but bring extra cash to tip the massage therapist. Unfortunately there will be no student massages here until around June 2026 from what I hear. I always really enjoy supporting the journey of the up and coming massage therapist in training so that wasn't my favorite news. I did hear from the lovely woman at the front that there will be some returning licensed students to offset the transition; more expensive per massage so that's something to keep in mind. Also regarding parking, I visited on a Sunday so parking was easy right in front in the visitor section no charge, can't speak for the other days of the week though. Overall, Hope you give this place a try, Thanks so much QSMHH! Peace, until next time.
