I took my BLS cpr classes for the past 6 years. Every time I come here, the instructor is pleasant and breaks it down when you have questions. The introduction video they show explains why CPR and learning it is so important especially when someone goes in a cardiac arrest or chokes. It's broken down in several sections such as adult, infant, child cpr, and choking. It is even broken down for one or two rescuers scenarios. You learn how to do compressions, then breaths, and how to use the AED machine in the scenarios. After the video demonstration, you follow along with the skill. There aren't enough mannequins so you switch out with someone who hasn't done the skill yet. At the end, you take the written test, but the instructor will go through the answers afterwards. You will receive your certification card after the test is over. Oh and the class might get out an hour or two early depending on the pace of the instructor.
Registering for a class is now easy. They have an online website where you can select the class and the date and time and pay with your credit card. Before I would have to call and tell the receptionist what class and available days and then pay with my credit card, Not anymore :)
The location is conveniently located in the Aiea industrial areas where the park is. However the parking can be limited. I suggest you come early to find parking or get dropped off. read more
