I decided on Inet Realty to pursue my studies in Real Estate because of the great yelp reviews I read. The 3 days a week, 4 week classes are not boring, they change up the studies by playing games, having a group study and recap, and highlights of the upcoming study chapters. The next class is normally opened with any questions you might have regarding the chapters that were previously discussed. Elliot and Carlton, strongly encourage questions, and are ever so patient and encouraging. What helps is they tell stories to help comprehend any complicated subject matters, and turns out to be so interesting. I passed the State portion the first try, but it took me two tries to pass the Uniform section. I reached out to Elliot, and he helped me with any additional questions I had, and he helped me pass the Uniform section the second time around. Apparently, I should have paid closer attention in class or I probably would have passed the first try, because the items Elliot helped me with, was covered in class as I noticed in the class handouts. I appreciate Inet being there for me even after I was completed with the classes. Anyone looking for a RE School, I highly recommend Inet Realty! Right from the start with registration, I was impressed with how helpful Maria was, and Susan was so nice to check on me months after taking the class. They all truly do care about helping you pass the RE exam. I was able to get an early bird discount for the class for registering 2 weeks prior to class start date, so lookout for those specials! THANK YOU SO MUCH INET REALTY!!!!! read more

PASSED BOTH UNIFORM AND STATE ON THE 1ST SITTING!!! I met a lot of people in the test waiting room who were on their 2nd or 3rd tries (not students of iNet I have to add). Luckily I attended the iNET realty school over the others. I just can't imagine having to pay and re-take the test again! Some takers didn't even know what to bring to the test. I'm glad iNET informed us about what to take (printed school certificate & 2 IDs) and what will be provided (everything else-calculator, pencil, scratch paper, amortization table). I could complete the test in 1.5 hours for both sections and I have to be honest that I didn't study very much (e.g. didn't read the book) while attending the class due to work and family time constraints. However, I was glad to understand the question and answer by mainly recalling Carlton and Elliot, iNET instructors, classroom discussions, chapter highlights, iNET chapter quizzes, and the final study questions. Carlton and Elliot are really good instructors. You feel their genuine interest in having you succeed. There were no feeling of impatience or condescending attitude, even when they had to re-explain certain topics again...and again. Their attitude allowed it to be an open classroom environment with everyone following suit to create lively discussions which makes the real estate topics more interesting. Also snippets of the instructors personal examples and selling tactics kept the classes from being too dry. When attending iNET they, and I, really encourage you to ask questions if you don't understand something. Just having them explain or provide an example really helps. It's like learning a different language! Besides passing, there are a lot of other reasons I would recommend iNET. From my initial experience, iNET was very friendly and responsive. I had difficulties signing up online and left an email. Within an hour (after 5pm) Susan called me back and was very sweet and helpful. Everyone at their office I met were very personable! You just felt welcome (even when you walk in late you're welcomed by the instructor LOL but it's not in a mean spirited way). I also appreciate how organized the sessions were. We followed the agenda within the time limits (usually completed before without missing any vital information). Carlton and Elliot also stress that we were free to come by anytime during business hours to meet and discuss topics, questions, etc. Since classes are all day Saturday, one Saturday iNET provided a luncheon! I forgot to bring a side dish, but they catered enough food to have leftovers for a week! It's just those little things that show they care. So although I highly recommend iNET as the go to real estate school...there are some things you need to be aware of when you attend class (as of my March 2015 classes): 1. Bring a Jacket! They will turn down the A/C upon request, but for what ever reason it always starts cold. 2. Use the Bathroom upstairs - Their classroom bathroom walls are a little thin. You can sometimes hear bathroom business. Depends how shy you are there. 3. Saturday Parking - King St. meters you can get away with not paying on the weeknights, but Saturdays are more risky. iNET is pretty cool that they have a coin jar to feed your meter, but I felt bad taking their money so FYI I always found non-metered parking two small blocks away, towards Mauka. GOOD LUCK!!! read more

Just finished taking the in-person/live-class, instructor led, month long Real Estate Salesperson 60 hour Prelicensing Class at Inet & glad I listened to the previous Yelp reviews. (the obvious bad) OKAY the class length each day can seem long... the Tuesday & Thursday evenings and Saturdays can take every neuron in your brain to work... but so is every other pre-licensing school out there. I did not choose to do the pre-licensing online only because I know myself... I cannot self-motivate to read material I don't know PLUS I know I'll end up reading a few sentences and end up with at least several questions. (the good) Being in a class environment is much more interactive and you can ask any question that literally pops into your mind. At Inet, the two instructors that lead the course (Elliot & Carlton) are super approachable and knowledgeable. They interweave their own experiences into teaching important real estate concepts and really simplify things. (I love it when they dumbed things down for me.) Foundations of knowledge building are impo in my humble opinion... and for instance, if you had a shitty, unenthusiastic math teacher in the past---chances are, you probably hate math. The instructors here seem passionate in what they do and have extensive experience doing so + are actual & current brokers. In layman's terms... they know their shit. And they care about you passing the final exam. (advice) If you end up signing up for the course, go into it with your eyes & ears opened. Do not be afraid to speak up and ask questions or ask for more examples regarding a concept. Do try to read the recommended chapters before class so when the instructor covers it in class, it makes better sense. But if you didn't read beforehand, it's not the end of the world bc it'll be covered in class. It's not just the instructors who make the course fun but YOUR efforts count too. Our class got along so well, respected each other's questions and had a lot of fun together. It felt like a second family with Susan, Elliot, Carlton & the class. Someone from class would voluntarily bring donuts to class... someone else would share candy and fruit. What was also great was that we rooted for each other to pass the class. I walked away with future colleagues/friends in the real estate field---now THAT is priceless ! Remember, Hawaii is very small ! Highly recommend this class ! read more

I finished the INET Real Estate school a couple of days ago and just picked up my certificate today. As with every day of school there, I was greeted with positivity and encouragement. I came in to the school knowing a decent amount and so I can vouch for the fact that, the instructors know their stuff and have a ton of experience. If you're a hard charger, you can learn everything you need to pass the test and also pick up some of their years of experience in business and transactions (sales). If I weren't joining our family brokerage, I would consider trying to work with them as well. I like their vibe and business acumen. There is also a mortgage company right there and occasionally the mortgage broker would chime in and add value to the classes as well. I hope to do business with INET again soon. Much aloha and best of luck everyone. read more

Elliot and Susan are a great team! Even though all of our classes were via ZOOM, I had no problem learning and digesting the material presented. Elliot's presentations, wry sense of humor, and excellent explanations of what could have been very confusing content really helped me to grasp the subject matter. (And there is quite a bit to learn AND understand!) Susan took time out of her very busy schedule to help me out GREATLY by dropping off my textbook before classes began and again, delivering my certificate of completion when the classes were done. Thanks to Elliot, Susan, and INet, I'm on my way to a new career!! read more

Great experience!!! The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly and patient. They take time to answer all your questions and make sure you understand the content. Both Carlton and Elliot speak about being positive and believing in yourself and that is a tremendous help. The structure of the class is one that gets everyone involved from lectures, group discussions to online quizzes. The classes are small so you get that feeling of being amongst friends and feel safe to ask any question without feeling intimidated. So, I took my class final this past Saturday and passed and today, Monday, I passed the state exam!!! How's that for a positive review/results!! read more

This class lived up to its statement of "We will teach you what you need to know to pass the State Exam" I trusted in that and caught on to the way of thinking needed to answer those questions without getting TRICKED by the POSSIBLE answers provided. Passing IS better than perfect when it comes to the State Exam!! Thank you Carlton and Elliott for your time, knowledge, and constant reassurance that we could do it! Thoroughly enjoyed it and the people in our class....what a riot! read more

This will probably be a two part review but I just had to write an initial review now as I attend school. Two part because attending the Inet Realty Real Estate School is just the first step in preparation for the State Exam! Although I already have a career a friend of mine got me interested in getting a Real Estate license. I told him I'd always been interested in getting my license but I always heard how hard the test was and how long the school was. Considering I already have a career that takes up much of my time it was something I couldn't quite fit into my life. My friend did some searching and found Inet Realty Real Estate School. Initially I had some doubts that they could pack so much information in a month and have me knowledgeable enough to take the State exam. Even after reading all the testimonials here on Yelp and elsewhere I know I had my doubts. Even so, my friend and I decided to give it a go and enroll. Now after attending three weeks of class and heading to the homestretch final week of preparation, you could say I'm pretty amazed with the education I have gained in such a short period of time. Don't get me wrong, the classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm to 9:30pm and on Saturdays from 8:30am to 5:30pm. For me who's been out of college for several years now, that's a ton of class time! Carlton and Elliot pour on the education and instruction throughout the classes. They make the learning interesting and the active participation with the class members fun that you don't even notice the time you're there in class. I know when I first saw the hours on paper when I enrolled I dreaded staying in a class all day Saturday but the Carlton and Elliot have a great feel for the class. They take appropriate breaks and when needed push on through when the class energy is high. They also fill the educational time with personal stories and experiences that let you know that they not only know their subject matter but have personally experienced things that you will surely encounter should you choose to make real estate a career. Each class has been filled with energy and excitement. Even if you're not planning to go full time into real estate the knowledge gained will definitely help you if you ever plan on purchasing your own home. I'm headed in to the final week knowing a ton more about real estate then I ever dreamed I'd know, especially after just three weeks! I highly recommend if you're buying a house, considering a career change, maybe just a part time job, the Inet Realty Real Estate School should be on your list if not the top of places to go to get educated and get your real estate license. They will not only educate you but fill you with confidence that no matter what your plans are, they will help you achieve your goals. read more

I must admit I was a little skeptical being that I found this school on Yelp! but I am glad I decided to give them a try based on their 5-star reviews. There were other schools that had high ratings, but were longer in duration (2-3months vs 1month at iNet). It was recommended to me by a realtor buddy of mine to take an accelerated course and iNet's class schedule was doable with a few minor adjustments to my family/work schedule. Elliot, Carlton, and David are so positive, energetic, and always willing to help. They, along with their support team, were very organized and covered everything a student needed to know. From parking times and availability, to eateries, even as far as an additional restroom (this was very helpful as our class size was well over 20!), they had all the bases covered. Everything we needed to know and what was to be expected was covered in the first 30 minutes of the first class, then it was on to business! This class was not only educational, but fun and exciting at the same time! 4hrs twice a week and 8hrs on Saturday sounds like a lot, but they know how to get the essentials instilled in our minds with their teaching approaches. Not only are the instructors knowledgeable and experienced, but they understand and care about their students with passion. They take breaks, change pace, and insert personal experiences when needed. Let's face it, after high school and college, and about 20+ years, its not easy "sitting in class". But these guys understand that and their approach made it easier to absorb things. Bottom line, if you need a recommendation for a real estate class, iNet is the ONLY place you need to look at. Very easy to get information, signup/register, and pay all online. And best of all...with the help, instruction, and encouragement of iNet Realty, I PASSED the course AND State Exam on the 1st sitting!!! read more

Wanted to rate them sooner, but kept forgetting!!! Anyhow, Great Great Great school for those want to get start into Real Estates; Carlton, Elliot and David is one of the most kind teacher I have met. They are very knowledgeable, they spend time with you patiently if you have any questions, and they have great programs for to introduce new comers to Real Estates. To be honest with you, I didn't even read single page of the text book to pass the state realtor exam, that's how good their teaching was. Have gone to this school myself, and referred all my friends that're interested in Real Estate to study in here. read more

The instructors were great! They presented the material in a clear and concise manner. Very knowledgeable and thorough. Because of that, I was fully prepared to take and pass the test with confidence. Which I did on the first time! read more

Just a quick update everyone, I passed my exam on the first try!!! Super excited to be a Realtor! I actually hung my license with iNet Realy and enjoying every moment. iNet has been very welcoming and has gotten me on the right start. A lot of great resources to help with getting the ball rolling in RE and your pathway to success. I'm looking forward to continuing to learn and being part of this family. -Matt W. p.s. I know someone in the previous class said that my first review was fake, but I'm here and real people. I know there is a lot of real estate schools out there, but I would highly urge you to seriously consider iNet. Good luck with your decision and have a great day! read more

I passed my uniform and state exam on the first try thanks to the comprehensive and fun lessons at Inet school! Carlton and Elliot were instrumental in helping me learn and understand everything in the book. Our class was small with 15 students which I really love because it allowed for more questions, superb teacher-student interaction and a better learning environment for everyone. They also gave us quizzes every week which help us gauge our understanding and strengths of the material taught. Elliott and Carlton are both very knowledgeable brokers who have been in the business for a long time so we were all lucky to learn from them. Susan was also really helpful , kind, understanding and responsive in all her emails, which was a stark contrast from the other popular school on island. Additionally, they bought us lunch one Saturday! Free, ample, and secured parking is available in the building structure which is a big deal for me because I don't like to park in unsecured car parks. Inet school is conveniently located at kakaako in the same building as enterprise rental car. Super happy I took the in person/ live class as I had a fantastic and fun experience , while making valuable networking contacts and lots of friends! read more

Ok, listen up y'all... Calton & Elliot know what they are talking about. They give you the tools to pass the state/national test. This works & that's the goal. I also hit the jackpot on best/fun class with great humor and education....and the laughing helps keep all of this enjoyable. This class is aggressive yet effective. *I passed the state/national test on my first attempt. *The class is 4 weeks and intense. Extraordinary amounts of information to intake in an extraordinary short period of time. *If you work full time as well....buckle up and be focused and purposed. *You need to study outside of class. *The class/info intake can seem very intimidating & stressful. You can accomplish this if you choose to do the work. Good Luck! read more

Carlton and Elliot made sure learning was fun and they are very knowledgable. I built up a lot of respect for these two because not only are they passionate and patient about teaching individuals interested in the real estate field, they really enforce making sure you learn things and retain the information you need in order to do real estate the correct way-the legal way- the safe way which is what I commend them for!!! They want you to succeed and they will give you their all to make sure you do well till the end!!! They are honest and straight forward about the business. Better to have people that tell you the truth instead of beating around the bush. Outside of the instruction portion, the other iNet staff were friendly and helpful and so nice. The whole process was pleasing and smooth. Maria is awesome and the entire staff there only want you to pass, succeed and obtain the best. If you are interested in the real estate field and you want passionate mentors, friendly staff, a reasonable price for the right education then iNet is the perfect place to start your real estate vision. Thank you iNet for everything! read more

Surprisingly, there are quite many choices when it comes to choosing a real estate school in Honolulu. For me personally, a friend's recommendation was all it took. Well, sorta, I did do a little research online too and went to their location on S. King Street the next day. After a brief discussion with the school principal, who was very informative and friendly BTW, I decided to sign up for the class. They have a good refund policy(up to the 3rd class),so I thought why not give it a try. So about the class, its hard to say that the material doesn't ever get dry because there are many professional terms and language that u see often in the book. but the instructor(Carlton) really does his best to explain everything in more of a common language and even use graphs & drawings to help us understand. For me, it works perfectly because I'm a visual learner. Also, Carlton is still an active realtor so it helps a lot that he often uses real life examples or experience in class. David, our other instructor, is the happiest person I've ever met in real estate. He's knowledgeable and patient like Carlton. Also with a good sense of humor. I've noticed that everyone at Inet is happy to be there, which gives that friendly vibe/environment for us the students. One other thing I must say they are super good at is the flexibility that they provide. With my regular job, sometimes I could miss a hour or two class time. The instructors are always willing to help out outside the class hours. That's them going above and beyond to help students to pass the exam. 5 stars right there! Lastly, the class room is comfortable to sit in, there's always coffee/tea & snacks provided. Location is good. Parking is either in the street or they have a lot behind their building. What more can I say? Oh yeah, I'd totally recommend my friends to take their real estate class at Inet! read more

I always refer my friends who want to get their RE license to this school. Especially if they already tried other schools or online classes and failed. It's fun and interactive -- how any great learning should be. The pace was manageable and the expectations were clear! I made friends in this class too as we are also encouraged to work in groups. When students are able to talk and have mental stimulation, this is when real learning happens. Thank you Inet for doing a great job! Two years later and I am still in the RE business. read more

Having found iNet Realty Real Estate School through Yelp and attending the classes I saw it fitting that I write a review. This school is great! If you are looking to attend a real estate school I highly recommend iNet for the following reasons: 1. Instructors Carlton and Elliot are awesome. There is a lot of info to cover in this course and they cover it all but they highlight what you need to know. They are more than willing to help you if you don't understand things and genuinely have your best interest in mind-- they want you to pass! 2. Price is very reasonable. If you look around for other schools you'll find that iNet had great prices. They also have an early bird registration for additional savings--Score! 3. They care about you and it shows. Not only do the instructors help you but the other staff (Dave, Maria, Susan) are more than willing to chat with you and answer questions you may have. All of them are so friendly and you can tell they are just good people. They even gave personal phone calls half way through the course to check up on us and make sure we're doing OK and that we're on track to succeed. On top of that, they offer help outside of the normal class hours if you need it. 4. The class is fun. 60 hours of instruction doesn't sound like it can be fun but I actually enjoyed myself in this class. There are some parts that can get a bit boring but overall I found the material interesting and I learned a lot. Having an interactive class helps. In summary, I'm so glad I chose iNet. They have a 5 star rating for a reason. If you want to pass and learn a lot and have fun I would suggest you attend this school also. read more

Took the class sept 2017 real fun and chill. They teach you to pass the state exam. And are really willing to work with you.

PASSED! On my 1st try! I started this class knowing nothing in Real Estate. iNET Realty sincerely cares about each student and wants us all to succeed. This is an accelerated course focused on what you need to know. The class agenda was well organized and easy to understand. Thank you Carlton for the stories and drawings. I was able to clearly understand what each question asked by thinking about your drawings. I will never forget CARU and BRAC. Thank you Elliot for taking the time to sit with me after work a few days before the big test. That 20 minutes made the world of difference. David, Stacy, Susan every time I called, emailed or came by I was always welcomed and greeted with a smile or a hug. Your support and motivation is greatly appreciated. Mahalo! read more

The Inet Real Estate School is the best thing ever! The Instructors made the class fun and enjoyable to learn. Fun atmosphere! Friendly instructors! Highly recommend learning real estate with Inet!

As someone who was a stay at home mom for 16 years until my last child was in school, I was extremely apprehensive enrolling in the Real Estate salesperson course with INET. This fear mainly stemmed from lack of confidence in myself after being in a completely different field of "expertize" for so long. From my initial call with INET for enrollment until the very last day of class, I cannot begin to express how impressed I was with the company. They are professional but EXTREMELY approachable and down to earth. Susan the Office Manager is wonderful and Carlton, Elliott and David are phenomenonal. The course was EXCELLENT. Well structured with great teaching techniques that are not monotonous. Although it was like learning another language, you were never made to feel inadequate at any time. There is such a down to earth, family feel about the company that makes you really feel at home. Learnt SO much. Not just "memorize" so you will pass kind of learning but real "I am helping you understand" kind-of learning. I BEYOND strongly suggest this school if you are wanting to pursue Real Estate. Understanding what you are learning is primarily their goal and it is done in such a wonderful environment with other people you really enjoy taking the course with. In my opinion, Five stars is not enough! *********+ read more

This is a great training system and much due to the wonderful instructors who know how to relate to everyone in the class which is generally very diverse. Their integrity and character as individuals comes through to the class and you get a good sense as to how to proceed in this business of real estate. My husband found this school to take the class and all four of us signed up, ourselves and two of our adult children. It was a great experience and we all got a lot from the class including passing the real estate license exams! :) read more

I happened upon Inet Realty Real Estate School because other schools schedules did not fit mine. I wanted to start my path to becoming an agent ASAP so in reality I chose Inet because it was my only choice based on timing. However, I was so glad that circumstances brought me to Inet. I really enjoyed the smaller classroom setting (about 20 students). The class size is much more conducive to truly learning the material vs. being in a bigger school where I heard class size is about 70 students! Due to our smaller class size, it was easy to ask questions. Both Carlton and Elliot have an efficient, conversational style of teaching, where they encourage you to ask a lot of questions and provide thorough answers through experiences and examples. There's a lot of material covered in each class, so studying on your own time is key, but they really do prepare you to pass the exam! I passed the class certification and both the State and Uniform exams on the first try! I highly recommend Inet Realty Real Estate School. read more

After much soul searching, I decided to give real estate a try and ventured to search for a credible program. After talking with several bigger name schools, I chanced upon Inet through yelp and made an inquiry. In stark contrast to the other schools, this company offered outstanding customer service and even an early bird discount. Both Staci and Susan were so gracious in answering all my questions, unlike other establishments who were either too glib, never called back or were simply downright rude. Signing up at Inet was a smart move as the staff there couldn't be more dedicated to helping their students succeed. The instructor, Carlton Choy, is experienced, down to earth, so approachable and extremely committed to his students. He pulled out all the stops to ensure that we understood the most abstract real estate concepts with drawings and real life scenarios, making the tedious material come alive for the class. In spite of his busy schedule, he still made himself available even after the class was officially over to help answer all the questions we barraged him with, even tutoring some of us one-on-one. If you're looking for a school where you're not treated like a number, with a team that's 100% vested in your success, look no further. Two thumbs way up for Inet! So grateful I chose them. read more

If there were more stars i would have rated it even higher! The way the curriculum was delivered was clear, concise and on point. Both Carlton and Elliot were passionate and engaging in their instruction. Especially appreciated the way they used real life experiences to bring the subject matter to us which made it so much more understandable than just a text book read. I had an opportunity to sit in one of the actual training sessions with their agents and really got the sense that these guys genuinely care about the success of their team. I decided at the last minute in July of 2018 to fly to Honolulu to study for a real estate license. I chose the INET Realty Real Estate School because of the small class size and the class schedule. I made the right choice! All three of the instructors, Carlton, Elliot and David are excellent. They are very knowledgable about the Hawiian law and how to take the exam. I learn by asking questions and the instructors were VERY patient with me. Previously I was licensed as an attorney in Colorado and a real estate agent in Pennsylvania. The exam in Hawaii was much more difficult than I anticipated. Fortunately I passed both parts of the exam on the first try because of the quality of the INET course. The INET materials helped a lot with studying. I really enjoyed my classmates. The Kahoot quizzes were a lot of fun. I didn't have a car. It's easy to take the bus to INET. The office staff was very helpful in getting me signed up. Thanks INET for your excellent real estate school! read more

The information presented in class is what you need to know to pass the licensing exam. 4 days after passing the class final exam, I passed both the the national and state exams. Previous to enrolling in this class, I had signed up for a online, independent study course. For me I found that it was too hard to stay motivated through that method and some of the concepts are hard to understand on your own, that's why I ended up enrolling in Inet's class. I was apprehensive because the class was 3 days a week for 4 weeks and I was afraid they would feel so long and boring. This was not the case. The instructors provided lots of real life examples that helped me to understand the concepts and gave good tips for information that needed to be memorized. They created an environment that encouraged active participation so the classes didn't feel too long. In fact, I would often feel like I wanted to learn more and ask more questions but knew that we needed to get through the specific material. I would highly recommend this class! read more

Like many others on this site, I chose INet Realty because of the reviews on Yelp. My review will likely be very similar to most of the other ones on this page (pretty much because everyone's reviews are accurate!). The basic gist of it is this: Both instructors are very knowledgeable, experienced in the "real world" of real estate in Hawaii. They teach in a manner that is very easy to comprehend and their lectures are in a style that is very to-the-point, but also in a way that is not intimidating. They encourage discussions, team work and questions and are very patient when a student is having a hard time grasping the concept of something. The pace of the school is manageable, granted you give the effort to do the readings and take home questions. Both Elliot and Carlton do an excellent job at making sure all of the necessary topics are covered and that they are explaining things in a way that can be understood. I am happy to say that I took my state real estate exam the morning after our final review and was able to pass on the first try. I know everyone tests differently, but I feel comfortable saying that they prepared me with what I needed to know to understand the questions and concepts that were on the test. Aside from the two instructors, everyone else in the company that helped with the registration and paper work were also extremely pleasant to work with. They have a very family-type of feeling and you immediately feel like a part of their family when you become a student. You can tell they are personally vested in your success and that they truly want each and every one of their students to succeed. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Thank you, Elliot, Carlton and Maria! read more
