A simple solution would have been to just have me come back in for a quick fix. Instead, after all of that, I was offered "a couple of highlights," which felt like too little, too late considering everything I'd already gone through. For $300 and a $60 tip, it really should have been better.

The salon needs to know what happened so they can prevent this from happening to other clients. I will be calling the manager and plan to come in person the next time I am in Providence to explain what went wrong. Clients deserve to feel heard, and the final cut should match what they requested. The one good thing is that my son learned an important lesson. It is completely acceptable to speak up if the service is not what you asked for. If you are unhappy with a haircut, ask for a manager or request a stylist with more experience in men's cuts.
