He felt uncomfortable speaking up in the moment, so he paid and left, but he was very unhappy with the result. I do not care about a refund. I want accountability. The salon needs to know what happened so they can prevent this from happening to other clients. I will be calling the manager and plan to come in person the next time I am in Providence to explain what went wrong. Clients deserve to feel heard, and the final cut should match what they requested. The one good thing is that my son learned an important lesson. It is completely acceptable to speak up if the service is not what you asked for. If you are unhappy with a haircut, ask for a manager or request a stylist with more experience in men's cuts. Came to this location for the first time to have a blowout the morning of my baby shower. I booked…read morea blowout and I have medium length, average thickness, good textured hair. After speaking to the stylist about what I wanted ( a simple updo low bun with loose hanging curls in front or a blowout with the old Hollywood style) she informed me the blowout would be quicker since I was on a time constraint of 90 minutes. My appointment was at 9am, and I've never had a blowout take more than 45 minutes -1 hour max. I've also done this to my own hair, I am by no means an expert, and it does not take me more than an hour. I simply came in for a blowout because I'm pregnant and just didn't want to do it myself. While the stylist was very very nice, provided water, gave me a couple of times to stop and go to the bathroom, she was just too amateur of a stylist to be styling someone for a major event. I sat down in the chair to begin at 9:10 and walked out at 10:57am. The shampoo was mediocre, honestly she pulled my hair quite a bit. The blow dry took a lot time and the heat was too high she kept burning my scalp. My hair is very cooperative, easily holds curls, and the stylist was curling the only smallest little sections of hair at a time. I did let her know initially my hair holds curl very well, and halfway through my head told her to use bigger sections, as we were running far behind schedule. The final look was not an old fashioned look. I was super disappointed after 2 hours to have something like this. For time reference, I also brought my daughter for a blowout, we started at the same time, and she has extremely thick long hair, and a lot of it. She was washed, blown out and curled 30 minutes before I was done. Not sure why the child was given the expert stylist and I was given the new one, but I was overall disappointed. Not only could I have done a better job, I didn't get what I wanted, paid for it, and it took 2 hours. Photos included show how I wanted my hair (chosen from their lookbook), how my hair turned out. Would have given 2 stars, but went with 3 stars because my daughter's hair turned out great.
