I had three watches that all needed new batteries. I dropped them off and went to lunch with friends. When I returned to pick them up, Susan told me that one of the watches didn't need a battery it just needed to be "shuck up" because it was an older watch and had been sitting in my drawer for a while. It needed just some movement to start ticking again. How honest is that? She could have charged me for all three batteries, and I would have never even known. Wow! I also had some jewelry with me. Some needed fixing, and a few pieces needed an estimation to see if they were worth selling or repairing. This just shows that it's worth supporting small local businesses. That big fancy jewelry store at the mall would have probably charged "an arm and a leg" and ripped me off big time.
