The Way Construction - untitled

Bought a new house, the downspouts were damaged and some were not connected to the underground…read moredrainage. I got a quote from The Way, it was reasonable, and all reviews of them online were positive, so I paid the required half up front to get "on the schedule". The check cleared on 7/17/25, so I called that day to get scheduled. I was told I'd receive a call back within 24-48 hours. After not hearing back from them, I called again on 7/28/25. I did receive a call back later that day, and it was at that point I learned there wasn't a "schedule". I was put on a list, and told I'd receive a call/text the week before they came. They said it'd be 4-8 weeks before they could come. On 9/29/25 (9 weeks later), I called to get an update. I received a voicemail from Kyle saying the repair order had been sent out this week, and the crews should be out next week. He said he'd call if anything changes. They did not come the next week, nor did I get notified about it. I called them on 10/10/25 (end of the 10th week) and was told the production team would give me a call back within 24-48 hours. I did not get a call back, so I called again on 10/14/25 (11 weeks later). I got a call back from Kyle later that day; he said he was waiting to hear back from the gutter crew. They came on Monday 10/20/25 (12 weeks later) completely unannounced. Of course, it was when I was out of town, so I reviewed their work when I returned on 10/24/25. Their work was satisfactory EXCEPT they forgot to connect one of the downspouts to the underground drainage. So I called them on 10/24/25 to inform them of the issue. Kyle called me back that day. I texted photos of the issue to him, and he said they should be able to fix it next week. Nothing happened the next week. So on Wed 11/5/25 (14 weeks) I texted Kyle. He responded they'd be out either tomorrow or Friday. On 11/13/25 (15 weeks), it still hadn't been fixed. I texted Kyle again. He sent Jonathan out that day to look at it, to get a bill of materials, and that he'd be fixing it the next morning. On 11/20/25 (16 weeks), Jonathan came out and fixed the issue. Sooo...the time from my deposit being cashed and the project completion was 16 weeks. I finally received a bill for the remainder on 1/7/26...which is what has prompted me to post this review. I do not recommend The Way Construction.

The Way Construction (Thomas Ziliak and team) did a fantastic job for us. We added an addition to…read moreour house and they were one of many subcontractors who completed portions of work: 1) New roof for the addition and replacement of roof on the existing house, and 2) Siding, soffits and gutters on new addition and a portion of existing house. Our project was delayed several times due to unforeseen circumstances outside their control, but The Way Construction patiently worked with us as we worked through the delays. Highly recommend this company for their high level of customer service, pricing and quality of work.

Cold floors on north side of home, contacted Healthy Spaces for an estimate and suggestion…read more February 15 of 2022 was there first visit& meeting . Salesman took pictures of all issues and problems. We felt he was knowledgeable and courteous so we agreed to a $1300 deposit. He emphasized must be dry, scheduled for June. We attempted contact with the company through emails several times. The schedule date was June 27'th. On June 25 two men wanted to come early to remove debris and mold removal. These two busted their hump , we were very impressed with their work. So July 1 was the next scheduled day and it was to complete the job. On the July 1'st scheduled day we received a call from office stating they can't come. They could not come until July 9'th which was a Saturday????? The three man crew also worked very hard in extremely dirty tight quarters. Once again we were impressed with the company laborer's. For some reason the management team only scheduled us for that Saturday ,meaning the laborer's would not return on Monday July 11'th to finish. Mind you back in February the entire job would only take two days. EVALUATION: Healthy Spaces has an over booked labor force, So Far The Healthy Spaces labor force is what keeps them afloat. Healthy Spaces administration/management is disorganized chaos. If you ever watched "SEINFELD" the are equivalent to the Reservation episode Well today is TJuly 14,2022 still no calls or workers. I called the office on Cullen Ave. the office crew had no clue of when they were returning to finish. Was told the manager would call by end of the day, I said BEFORE the end of today. Well at 4:30 pm received a call but not from the manager. Miraculously they will have a crew here at 08:00 am to finish the job (all in one day) Well they finally completed the job , I had to request finished pictures, drier venting hose was crushed , so I hired a plumber to replace it. I hope it makes the floor less cold this winter. I guess the days of great service is gone. I won't say not to use then just be aware of the scheduling mayhem.

If I could have left zero stars I would have. The only thing that I will say About this company is…read morebe very careful with them. They get lots of great reviews but I wonder if how many people are really educated about their homes. This man that came out to my house, evidently thought I was stupid. Did he not think I would check and get another estimate? so all's I can say is be careful with this company. They get lots of great reviews but I wonder if how many people are really educated about their homes. The person that came to my home thought I didn't know anything so he inspected my crawlspace and came up with all kinds of issues with my crawlspace to the tune of $22,000 being a person on a fixed income. This was a little much to stomach and I was very upset. I tried to get this person to send me pictures of what he saw under my house to my email address so I could take it to my bank to beg to borrow money. He did not want to send me pictures. He kept sending them on my phone and I asked him not to because I did not have a great phone and the screen was pretty small. I said I wanted them on email so I had something I could show them at the bank he took over 20 pictures underneath my house and then showed me everything on his computer and then he refused to email them to me and when he finally did email me pictures. It was only five pictures and they were very vague and it didn't really show anything so I lost trust in this business and decided to call somebody Else to come and do an inspection. Thanks to a company called TFS they came and got under my house along with my son-in-law, who knows a little bit about the subject also and he found no issues in my crawlspace. Now the curious part is the pictures this man was showing me I'm wondering who's crawlspace that was because it could not have been mine because I know who built my house And the second inspection company that came to my house did not find any issues so that should tell you something about be careful who you deal with. I knew the people that built my house personally they were professional builders with an excellent reputation. They did a good job building my house. My only thing that I can say is buyer beware always get at least a second opinion maybe three because you never know who's gonna try to scam you.
