This place was absolutely amazing. the ordering process is stress free, the cake was so beautiful that I nearly cried. My three-year-old enjoyed her birthday thoroughly:) this business communicates with you and does not drop the ball. If you're considering ordering, please do it!
Customer service was great. Very responsive. Made a cake for a baby shower exactly the way I asked and followed inspo pics to a T. Great taste. Everyone at the party was impressed and kept asking who made it! Also they have their own parking lot so picking up is super easy. They told me exactly how to transport and store the cake since I wasn't serving it until the next day. I'll definitely be using them again. I'll have to try a cupcake next time! Thank you!!
This response was extremely disappointing, but in tune with the product. So expected. To the owner below: I don't feel irresponsible; the person who purchased the cake did in fact have a conversation with the staff. He expressed that he was discontent and they just shrugged off the concern due to the fact that it had already been produced. Your patrons should not be expected to repeatedly contact the business, we do not owe you repeat words or repeat business. It is in fact, YOUR responsibility to earn that from us. If you cannot fulfill quality orders in a three to seven day turnaround, you perhaps should not offer the service. Clearly, you can't get it done. You can do all of the math and science you want; the cake is green. Also - Never has a business responded so rudely... I don't agree that the review was petty. I was being honest. I said what was true of my experience and you did not like it, so you came to attack. It does not change what you've earned. But your ethic shows in your product, your poor grammar and typos, and in your response. I am happy that this review stands for all to see. You will not bully me. I didn't need to know what the fees or processes were; I was not your customer. Which says even more about the experience and the weight of this review because I did not lose any money. I was just provided a TERRIBLE experience at ZERO cost. But after hearing how your staff treated the actual customer having spent his money, there was no way that I would follow behind to receive the same. Update to curious patrons: The cake was very sweet with the flavor of pure white sugar and lacked the cocoa flavor that red velvet should have. The icing for red velvet is usually cream cheese between layers, even if the outside is buttercream. I've seen it done either way, but this was not tasty. It did, however, retain its moisture nicely beneath the green sheath. The cake was unfortunately wasted after the festive cutting. The business is obviously not "happy to chat". Overall, a well deserved one star review.
Found this gem a few years ago and they never disappoint! They always have a huge assortment of cupcakes and can pretty much make any type of cake you can think of. Not only do they look great but I imagine this is what cake in heaven taste like! OMGGGGGG!!! Staff is always friendly and welcoming and the place is so cute!
Super delicious cake, the chocolate cake was super moist. The butter cream icing was even tasty.
I've ordered at least five decorated cakes from Elite the past few years, and each time I'm impressed by the cakes and the service! The decorations are so fun, and more importantly, the cake tastes delicious.
OMG!!!!! Have no doubts about the design nor the taste of these cakes. The frosting alone is awesome wonderful customer service I can't say enough good things about this hidden gem. I'm a Chef and I had a concern because we hadn't had a cake done from here before, but I'm so glad we did blew my taste buds away excellent presentation and fabulous taste moist beautiful and overall an awesome experience GREAT JOB TEAM!!!
Markedly improved difference in presentation and service. Cake was moist and delicious; visually, the graphic/logo was symmetric compared to the previous order. Speaking of, It was clear the owners took my last Yelp review to heart since Jose mentioned it during pickup. As a result, he pretty much gave white glove service from order to post-payment, even carried it out to the car for us. Now that's "Elite."
The cake they made for my daughter's birthday was beautiful and was delicious! Also they have plenty of parking and friendly staff.
Lemme tell you how much I adore José AND LISAAAAAA (it's like he's the rapper and she's the DJ... without her beats, his music doesn't make sense, she's the designer with flair). My cake was delicious, moist and beautiful AND in that order! I appreciate them and their hard work so much. Everyone loved my cake. Now, lemme discuss these cupcakes. They were everything. Red velvet, chocolate, coconut.
The most spectacular cake I could have asked for. They did exactly what I wanted and it was perfect. It was for my daughter's 6th birthday and she wanted a Disney descendants theme (the kids of the Disney Villans) I found some ideas from Pinterest and they made it affordable and exactly how I wanted it. I recommend this company HIGHLY!!
Elite not only has great bakery items ready to go in store...they also make these amazing cakes! This cake is exactly what we ordered and tasted dreamy! Thank you for making our daughter's birthday special!!!

Elite Custom Cakes did such a fantastic job of taking my cake idea and making it a reality! It exceeded all my expectations. I thought it would be similar to the design but they absolutely nailed it! Even the ballpark wanted to take pictures of it to post to their social media. The cake was moist and the fresh raspberry filling was amazing. Elite is definitely going to be my go-to cake company from now on. read more

Impressive customer service, not my favorite cake. I contacted Elite custom cakes for them to make a gender reveal cake for me and my husband. I wanted something small since it was just for the two of us. They made us a "smash cake" for a great price. I paid the first half of the deposit when I placed the order, and the second half once I had the gender results. They were able to make my cake that same day! They told me 3pm and when I arrived the cake wasn't finished. I had to wait 15minutes and the piping did look a little rushed. I would have preferred they said a later time and were able to make the piping look as neat as possible. This being said I'm still impressed and grateful they made the cake on such short notice. I also requested pastel colored filling and it was very dark. Unfortunately I did not love the taste of the cake and couldn't not eat more than a few bites. The vanilla icing was overly sweet. I would be interested in going back and trying some cupcakes though! Overall the cake served its purpose at a very great price! read more

These cupcakes are out of this world. The flavors are by far the best I've ever had. There were so many options to choose from. I got lost in the menu. The customer service was superb. The strawberry crunch tasted just like fresh strawberries. The cupcakes were soft and moist. Every flavor was delicious. The frosting was nice and fluffy. I love that the icing wasn't too sweet, but still sweet enough for you to enjoy. The cupcakes are very affordable and worth every penny. I could sit and eat all of them in one setting. I don't know how anyone else is going to top this. I could not get enough of these cupcakes. read more

I will never go anywhere to get cakes or cupcakes again! This by far is the best place around. Not only did I put in a short notice order but they definitely delivered! I wanted fondant but it was too short notice but they assured me that the buttercream would not only be cheaper but it would look better for my theme! They were so right! The whole cake was amazing, from the design to the taste! I will be back for sure, and I've already recommended them to multiple friends! Overall, great experience with them and great cake. The theme is underwater diving (one of my favorite things is the seaweed on the sides of the cake and the fish fin!) read more

I can't say enough GREAT things about Jose' and Lisa at Elite Custom Cakes. They are both fantastic to work with and helped me create and design the perfect cake for a Military retirement reception. Both of them went above and beyond with a short window to make this cake special and memorable for everyone. Not only was the cake a piece of art, it tasted delicious! Three different flavors (bottom tier a marble of strawberry and vanilla with a butter cream icing and a top tier of carrot cake!). All the guests went on and on about how moist and flavorful; some even came back for seconds! Jose' and Lisa coordinated a very unique concept from scratch with me, listening to my ideas and wants and finding a way to incorporate everything and keep it tasteful. I can't thank them enough. I highly recommend Elite Custom Cakes for your special event. You will be happy you selected them. read more

Recently visited Elite Custom Cakes in Norfolk. This quaint bakery is just what we needed in the neighborhood. The space is beautifully decorated in cool and warm blues and you feel welcomed as soon as you enter the shop. Your eyes are immediately drawn to the amazing glass case that houses all the amazing homemade treats. From cupcakes, to brownies, cookies and full cakes there is something for everyone. They even have fresh pastries and coffee! Jose and Lisa, the owners are very friendly and highly skilled in cake creations. From what they had on display and the photos on the walls you can just tell they are both extremely talented. Now to the important part, the taste. I had some peppermint bark and a chocolate peppermint cupcake. Both were amazing. The peppermint bark had just the right amount of peppermint and white chocolate and dark chocolate. The consistency was smooth and creamy. Absolutely delicious! The cupcake was awesome as well. The cake was very flavorful with a natural taste. You can tell they made this from scratch. The buttercream icing was smooth and light with the perfect amount of sweetness. I could go on and on but I hope you get the idea. This place is awesome! Give them a try, you will be extremely happy and hungry firm more! read more

The bakery really went above and beyond. I ordered this cake for a relative in Virginia (I'm in California) and was worried that they'd slack due to me being thousands of miles away but that was not my experience at all. A great invoice system and clear direction on how they were going to accomplish the cake I wanted. No one else in the area could do it but Elite Custom Cakes created the vision without compromising the taste. Thanks again! read more

I was recently looking for a dessert for my husband's work party and came here because I had heard good things about it from neighbors. I ordered mini cupcakes for the party and a full-size chocolate cupcake with Oreo frosting for myself. It was delicious, best frosting I've had. I picked up the assorted mini cupcakes today and they are adorable. And the price was great! I will definitely be coming back here for more cupcakes...and maybe breakfast. I saw they have coffee and other pastries that looked really good. read more
