This was my first experience at a cigar bar as well as smoking a cigar.... and it was great. The staff was really friendly and helpful. I didn't try the food but the drinks were good and reasonably priced. My only complaint is the ambiance. While I was smoking my cigar for the first time ever I was feeling like a BOSS!!! Love the place but last time in between my girlfriend and myself we spent over $500. We ask for a humidor pouch for the cigars purchased. They have always just included in the past but on the occasion the worker I've never seen before said I'd have to pay the $1 for it. It's not the $1 obviously but how understanding he is on how business works. Is it really worth a dollar to never see a high paying customer ever again. I hope they save the extra $1 he made off of me because they will never see another dime from me ever again. read more

One of the best humidors in the DFW area. They have a great selection of cigars suitable for every budget. The staff in the cigar shop are great at offering advice and info and their prices are in line with other shops in the area (better than some). The bar has a great selection of beer (bottled) and scotch with drink specials daily. Food is decent for the most part with some outstanding exceptions (try the Cuban sandwich with fresh-made kettle chips!). The only problem here is the lack of wait staff. There's usually only one waitress serving and tending bar at any given time. They do the best they can (and occasionally get help from the kitchen), but it's easy to get overlooked during prime time. Despite that, Elite is still the first place that comes to mind when I want to pick up a few new sticks or need a more sociable smoking environment than my garage. read more

Well, I certainly hate to use this platform to air my concerns but since I NEVER heard from anyone at this establishment, this is what I'm left with. I am the gentelman whose car keys got thrown away by a member of the staff! I visited Elite Cigar Cafe on April 05, 2019. I am a veteran and was invited their by some other veterans for my FIRST experience in this particular cigar lounge. All was well until I got ready to leave and discovered my keys were missing. I looked all over the restaurant for about 30 minutes for them. Finally, I was forced to start looking through the trash! So I doned a pair of plastic gloves (provided by your staff) and started sifting through the garbage! Three bags worth to be exact. After going through the trash, I decided that I would have to take the bags out to your dumpster ONE BY ONE and sift through them individually. My house keys were in the car and my car key was on a ring by itself. I live in Arlington. So I was going to have to go back to Arlington on a Friday night, (about a 45 min drive) get my apartment complex to let me in my unit (extra charge) get my spare key, and drive 45 minutes back to Addison. Then, I would have to go to Dodge the next day to get another spare key (at least $300) then have it programmed ($100) then have the other key deprogrammed (unknown cost). Now, back to those garbage bags! As am taking bag 1 & 2 to the dumpster I get an idea. My car has a proximity sensor on it. If the key is on my person, I can open the door. I tried opening the door while holding the two bags of garbage and my car would not open. I then knew the key was not in either of these bags. As one of your staff is bringing out the other bags I asked him to come stand by my car and BAM! The doors unlocked! Which meant that my almost $500 key was in the bottom of your trash covered in all kinds of MUCK! I was beyond ------! You guys almost cost me a lot of money and a BIG HEADACHE! All because someone was inattentive when clearing the table. Now, I don't want to blame the wrong person because we was still sitting there during shift change. So, it was either the young lady that was getting off on the day shift (who cleared plates and tabs) or the guy who came on who cleared the glasses. Either way, one of them picked up my keys and THREW THEM IN THE TRASH! Now, I left my name and email address with management on hand. I was NOT compensated in ANY manner whether it was my bill, cigars etc. I was given an verbal apology and the promise that someone from upper management or the owner, Kent P. would contact me. I am still waiting for that call or email. I've been asked back to this lounge by friends but thus far, have declined. The lack of empathy for what could've happened is not lost upon me. I had a good time at this establishment until my keys were thrown out with the trash. I can't say if I'll ever return. read more

Went here on a Friday night at 6pm, got a coffee infused cigar and was told that all flavored cigars must be enjoyed on the patio....that's fine but all the patio was taken up by other customers and there were only 5 people inside. I will not be back, I think it's time for them to look adjust their policy because obviously there are more people enjoying flavored cigars read more

Even one star isn't deserved of this place. I am new here and was referred here by a friend. I am also a disabled veteran, and have a service dog. When I visited, the owner would not allow me in with my dog despite the American's with Disabilities Act stating under federal law I could not be prohibited from this establishment. It took the police to come and advise him he could not prohibit me from the store. For the owner to ignore federal law, and discriminate against a veteran who fought for our freedom his actions are unconscionable. This is my favorite bar in DFW. Can't imagine a better bottom line to a recommendation. Not pretentious. (There are certainly other cigar bars for that; this isn't it.) This has to be one of the best no frills cigar bars in the DFW area. The atmosphere is always laid back and it's the perfect place to just unwind. The crowd is diverse and the staff is friendly. I am not a fan of cigars, but I tag along with the hubby and he likes the selection of cigars that they have. The wine selection is limited, however the wine pours are generous and the drink prices are cheap. The patio area is nice as well if you want chill outside. By far the best Cuban sandwich in all of DFW...trust me, I've been searching for the past few years since I had the best ever Cuban in St. Thomas four years ago...great job. Place is great, one of the only restaurants that has a huge selection of nice rums, especially those that I enjoy sipping. By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Our waiter was not attentive and he barely comes by to see if we needed anything more so we have to keep walking to the bar to have him come over. I ordered my drink and it wasn't made right so he said they still have to charge me regardless! My girlfriend and I were in town for the Phantasm movie event at Alamo Draft House (which was awesome--I can't recommend ADH enough) and were making a weekend of it. We always make a point of find a good cigar shop in a new town and we were having a pretty horrible time of it; the three shops we tried (which will remain unnamed) were rather pretentious and, more importantly, viciously overpriced on some pretty standard fare. It didn't take long for me to realize that the Dallas area really, REALLY subscribes to the "it's better because it's expensive!" school of thought. On the morning of our departure, we decided to have breakfast at Elite Cigars. Foregoing all drama and ceremony here, it was simply the best humidor and bar we've been to--ever. The prices were at or below MSRP, the service was friendly and normal, and the omelet and hash browns I had in the cafe was by far the best I've had in my entire life--and I do not exaggerate. In terms of ambiance, price, and selection, I can't think of a single cigar shop in the entire state of Texas that beats them. If you want me to be completely honest, I'm filing Elite Cigars into my mental file of "reasons to permanently move to a location". It was that good. read more

This is my dream place, beer, bar food, and cigars in a laid back atmosphere. So why only 3 stars? For all its pluses, many listed other reviews, its just too smokey and dark. "But you want to smoke you can't complain about the smoke." I hear you. But there are places with better and more attentive ventilation where you Can Smoke and Not Smell Smokey (they just don't sell beer and food) Also Its horrible to see that the air blown into the humidor its smoke filled. That's not good for the cigars at all. Bottom-line in 1980 this place would have rocked. In 2013 it feels like I'm stuck in a period piece with everything dank and dark. But in a town with few cigar bars, aficionados cant be choosers. Or at Elite just sit on the patio. read more

The humidor is great with an incredible range of boutique cigars to regular production. I wouldn't say there were any hard-to-find/rare cigars but they could also have been sold through if they did have any. They also have a great bar and food menu. The Cuban Sandwich is fantastic!
