If you're looking for a studio that allows volunteer parents to discipline students without the other child parents being present this is the studio for you. 3. If you're looking for a studio that allows kids to rip masks off other kids faces with no consequences this is the studio for you. 4. If you want a studio where kids are allowed to come to class after being home from school the same day with fevers this is the studio for you. ( This happened multiple times and the administration did nothing) my child had the kid who came with a fever cough in her face and thought it was funny. This is the studio for you. 5. If you're looking for a studio where you volunteer over 600 hours in one year and are still treated like crap by the owner this is the studio for you. 6. If you are looking for a studio where parent volunteers basically manipulate to get what they want for their kids and are allowed to get away with whatever they want even lying and having other families ask to leave the studio ( after ten loyal years) this is the studio for you. 7. If you want parent drama, bullying ( by students and parents), and false accusations made about you that are never even investigated this is the studio for you. WFYB I give 4 out of 5 But DDI 1 out of 5 This studio has changed over the years and not for the best. The location is great for us and my daughter just likes acting goofy so we let her stay for now. If she continues to be interested, I will put her in a more serious program. On the administrative side, it's been less than stellar given early troubles with costume ordering. We followed details to a T, and as a first time dance mom was a bit neurotic. Costumes arrived and you not only had to melt her I to it, but craftsmanship was poor as there were visible tears in the fabric in multiple spots. Uncertain of what to do, I naturally turned to the dance studio front staff who were rude and basically said I must not have paid attention to the instructions. Needless to say, I was clearly on my own to find a remedy which was not only irritating and confusing but costly. On a side note, and maybe by design but the front lobby is always packed and boiling degrees given it's small cramped size.

Their teachers really understand and know how to work well with children. I'm amazed at the patience they have with the young age groups and how they can not only keep young ones engaged in a class, but also manage to have relative success in teaching them routines. When my daughter started at Starpath she had a hard time focusing and doing what the class was told to do, but after a few months she was focusing and following instructions better, memorizing steps and routines, showing off what she was learning to us at home, and having a blast with the music and activities incorporated in class. Students are awarded with stars and get a lot of encouragement. They performed their recital at the Carolina Theater. I thought my daughter would be shy on such a large stage, but the teachers gave them multiple opportunities to get a acclimated to it and had practiced with the students so much that they did great. I was so proud to see my daughter front and center in her group on stage performing her choreography and smiling brightly. She loved the experience and is now half way through her second year at Starpath. I love seeing her grow as a dancer and have a great time in class with her friends. The Starlight Tots and Starlight Kids classes have been a great foundation to develop her love of dance and music. Now when she dances, she performs the choreography confidently and really shines.

Walking into Legacy I have never had that experience. Each new person is brought into our family. I have been going to this studio for 9 years and each year brings new experiences, great people, and a whole lot of fun. After posting my review, 2 of the choreographers made a choice to corner me at rehearsal, and be verbally aggressive in front of MY children and other people's children. When I tried to express why I felt the way I felt, they both kept interrupting me. After that I told them that everything was expressed to the owner and nothing had changed. I then told them that my kids may not be there Saturday and one of the teachers said "Good, period" and snapped his fingers. Acting this way in front of, about, and towards a neurodivergent child in your class is unprofessional. All of this behavior because I stood up for my kids, asked questions to the owner, and didn't receive much feedback or change. Even after this incident I have reached out to the owner multiple times with zero response. A teacher can be "fun" in the face of everyone but if they can't be professional when there are questions or concerns and choose to be verbally aggressive, all of your credibility goes out the window. I dont care how many awards a studio wins, especially if the example they are teaching is that a child's feelings and willingness to be better, does not matter. My daughter has been doing the musical theater class "Lights, Camera, Action!" with a YouTube video of their choreographed dance to a different musical each week. The teachers go above and beyond and really make everyone feel comfortable as they are. Easily accessible off the highway, and they have Boozy Ballet and Tipsy Tap classes I'm dying to try! Truly can't say enough about the teachers (recent alums from Eastern Carolina and sisters!). They're so sweet and do a great job with all of their classes. I think it's really great that I can watch online dance classes with my daughter and do some at home if I want to in between her normal classes as we attend in person. OK so let me first say that I have called this company several times to find out information about…read morethe classes they offer. I feel it is important to check service levels not only by using the service, but "interviewing" the potential service provider. Each call resulted in ok service over the phone until this last one. I called CC & Company because I heard that they were one of the best in the area. I think the key here is "in the area". Does not mean best of the best. The classes are not actual dance classes for the little kids. Creative Movement is not something I am interested in. My children can get that at a day care. I want a dance company to provide REAL dance classes. They say that they are not able to teach kids so young. Well I could put well over a thousand youtube links that say that yes younger kids can be taught and be exceptional. Just disappointing that the daytime classes are not available and the variety is truly not there. When I asked the person on the phone for a referral of a studio in Raleigh that taught classes during the day for 4 year olds, she told me that she did not know of any other studios. This company has been open for how long and they don't know of any other companies. Just a tip. Customer service is not just about getting customers to buy from you, but being able to provide them what they need. That is what brings lifetime customers. I say CC & Company needs to really step it up and get with the market of younger children and the talent they have. Get on the same level as Disney, America's got Talent, youtube, and many others who recognize that there is talent before 5.
