I had an excellent experience at Boston Dip & Detail. I found them online when I was looking to have my wheels dipped a different color so I contacted them via email with some questions. I received a prompt response from the owner answering all my questions and he was extremely knowledgable and helpful so I decided to book an appointment. When I dropped my car off for my appointment, they were very professional and spent time to explain the process and I felt comfortable right away. My car was completed on time in a few hours and the results were awesome! I wanted my wheels to be a darker color and they came out perfect. It's been a couple months and the wheels still look amazing. This was the first time I've had my wheels dipped and this stuff is incredible. The finish on the wheels looks powder coated but at a fraction of the cost and I get compliments on them all the time. I'll definitely be back in the future when I want to change up the color of my wheels or car. read more

I went to Boston Dip in 2015. Wanted to write my review back then but didn't. I paid them to dip my 2015 Audi's rims black and remove the dealer badge from my car. Phil was really nice and personable, but either he or his assistant put two obvious scratches in the paint of my trunk when I asked them to de-badge part of my car. We are talking like a couple of inch-long exacto knife looking cuts. Jesus. Luckily I've been in an accident since and got the trunk replaced on someone else's dime. They didn't mention the scratches when I picked up my car. Shame on me for not saying something after the fact. My guess is they used a pretty thin coating of dip for my rims because they started peeling within months. I've since removed all the dip myself. At one point, I had one of the rims re-dipped by someone else and the quality difference was so apparent to me. That rim never peeled like the others. Again, I've since said the heck with it and removed all the dip myself. There's a lot of good reviews here, but I just didn't feel like my car was handled with the care I expected. Especially after they put two scratches on my trunk hatch. I'll see if I can find a picture of it to post. read more

Decided to give this place a try from all the positive reviews, but unfortunately had a bad experience. I can't comment on the quality of the work itself, since they didn't notify me that the appointment I'd set up 2 weeks ago was cancelled. I even had my wife drive out 20 mins in the snow so I could ride back with her after dropping my car off, only to be greeted by a locked door. Won't be coming back. read more
