I had a flat tire and took it to a chain tire service shop. There was no issue with the tire but the rim was bent (?%*! potholes). The shop rep said he couldn't unbend it because it was an alloy wheel and it would crack, suggested I go to a salvage yard to find a matching rim that would cost $200 range. Did an internet search and Yelp and found Wheel Solutions. Arrived in the morning and spoke with Rob. He asked if I needed it asap or if I wanted to leave the tire to pick up later. I hangout and about 1 hour later the rim is repaired and mounted back on my car. Rob says to just keep on eye on it for a couple days, and if there are any issues to call him. Yelp for the win! When the neighborhood auto mechanic told me my rear rims were bent and that they didn't do straightening in their shop, I did my own research and Yelp brought me to Rob. I called him, scheduled an appointment a few days later, and my car was in and out quickly. He confirmed my rear rims were bent, and I asked him to check my fronts which he said didn't need straightening. Prices are affordable, given the cost of new wheels. He charges $95 a wheel, plus $20 a wheel to mount and balance. His one-man-shop is inside Foreign Auto Body, a natural symbiotic relationship if you need other auto repairs. read more

I had received a quote from another shop in Natick that was $250 which is very high as you can buy the type of wheel brand new for about the same price. Had the misfortune of hitting a huge pot hole on the mass pike going 65mph. both my driver side wheels were bent and could no longer hold any air. Did a quick search on yelp and found Wheel solutions. Rob was very accommodating and attentive to my questions. Brought both wheels down to his shop and he got started right away. He did an excellent job on them, and i have absolutely zero wheel wobble after they were installed back on the car. This is definitely not an easy job, but Rob really has the expertise and experience which made me feel confident in his workmanship. Most importantly, the ride speaks for itself, and my car has a very stiff suspension, hence wheel wobbles should be more noticeable. I hit a pothole and wrecked my rim, seriously damaged. Wheel solutions was recommended by the tire store and the yelp reviews were very good. I went there on Friday afternoon and Rob said he'd have it ready on Saturday. Sure enough he called me in the morning and I went to pick it up. He had done a great job. I took a bad hit with one of my wheels driving in Lynn, due to the horrendous roads there. Nothing but bumps, pot holes, constructed road not being finished for the past 10 years going in and out of the city. As I was driving, my tire pressure measurement stating I was loosing air pressure, my first thought was to add air but that didn't do no justice. A couple of weeks ago I cracked a wheel and decided to try Wheel Solutions after a friend who works next door recommended them. I've had wheels straightened at Rim Pro and Rim and Wheel Works before, but the employees at both of those establishments have rubbed me the wrong way in the past. Rob was a pleasure to deal with, he got my crack welded up and wheel straightened earlier than he promised, and his price was far better than either of the other two shops I mentioned, and his location right near the pike in allston is more convenient as well. I know where I'll be going when I need wheel repairs in the future, which hopefully is never, but somehow I don't think I'll be that lucky. read more

Rob Shannon is the sole practitioner of Wheel Solutions. He repaired a bent rim on my Audi S5, which Audi of Brookline was unable to repair despite having my car for over two weeks. Rob needed my car for about an hour and half to fix the rim. He also found that a wheel was out of balance (recently had been balanced by Audi of Brookline as they were trying to eliminate the shimmy in the steering) and balanced it for me. The car is back to driving smoothly, and I've had no issues since the repair. The repair cost was reasonable.
