I ended up here somewhat by default. Right off the bat, I felt warmly welcome by the entire staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, and patiently answered all my questions. Because they had been expecting me, they were 100% prepared and ready to serve me the minute I walked in the door. Mike asked me about the accident, and then he and I walked around my vehicle to examine and note the damage. (A rental was immediately provided through my insurance, but Malvern Collision helped organize the pick up and drop off.) The very next day Mike called to inform me that the estimate was done and the parts had been ordered. I was able to view the estimate details on my insurance policy account online. He even took it a step further to find similar decals on Amazon for me, if I was interested in replacing the ones I was losing (that were on my old tailgate). Wow! I was given a target date of Jan 9, but they had everything completed by Dec 31 -- over a week early! They said if I noticed anything wrong, just let them know, and also said their repairs are lifetime guaranteed. The communication throughout the process was excellent, and the customer service I received was top notch. (Note: I can't say whether or not I got a good deal, as I had nothing to compare it to, and it was covered by insurance. In my limited and humble opinion, it SEEMED reasonable, given the amount of work done, and the quality of the labor. For that reason I'm basing this review on everything except cost.) Very positive experience! I hope I never NEED their services in the future, but I would use them again, and absolutely recommend them to anyone in the market for auto body work.

I went to Conestoga Collision after a hail storm damaged my car for a paintless dent repair (PDR)…read moreestimate advertised as free on their website. I paid $1,283.32 to get my car back. Before dropping off my car, I told the shop I only wanted an initial estimate because I might pay out of pocket. My insurer had warned me it wouldn't cover storage or administrative fees, so I asked directly whether the shop charged them. I was told, "We wouldn't charge those for cars we are working on." After drop-off, the shop sent me a "work authorization form" to sign on my phone while I was at work. It listed no fee amounts, only that fees were posted in the shop. It also included a letter to my insurer, which no one mentioned, saying I had requested an inspection. I hadn't. When my insurer scheduled its adjuster for several days later, I called to pick up my car. I was told taking it would delay things, so I left it there. The shop then charged storage for every one of those days. Nine days after drop-off, the shop told me repairs would cost about $2,850 more than my insurer approved. I declined within the hour. Only then did the shop say it would "generate charges for services rendered." The bill: 10 days of storage at $127 a day starting the day I dropped the car off (half discounted), a $400 administrative fee, and a $201 scan. My card was also charged a 4% "convenience fee" that wasn't on the itemized bill and that I never agreed to. For comparison, the shop that repaired my car charges $95 a day for storage, and only for cars left for weeks. When I raised my concerns at pickup, the clerk was dismissive and didn't offer to escalate. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Conestoga Collision. If you do use them, get every fee in writing before you leave your car, and read every page of anything you sign.
