Update! Brought it back to get a quote on 4 tires. $2300+. Down the street they were $1250. Pretty much robbery. Over $100 per tire for mount balance. Update 2. Family member took their car for inspection and they stated it needed $2000 of repairs like ball joints, and brakes. Conicelli inspected and did brakes and ball Joints were not required Brought jeep in for a repair and ended up using another shop because they specialize in the vehicle and did it for a few hundred less and also replaced a few sensors and spark plugs. Dont doubt they do good work but not worth paying 50-100-% more over other reputable shops to find out. read more

From the frequent updates through text while your car is being worked on and then dropping off the car to your home its all a very pleasant experience! The quality of work also seems to be very top notch and have no doubt they are very good mechanics. I've been using D'Avico's services for a few years now, for all my work trucks as well as my personal vehicles. Ashley is so friendly and accommodating. Finding a TRUSTWORTHY mechanic isn't easy, but I've definitely found it here. I get all my inspections done here as well as windshield replacement, nitrofill for my tires (I highly recommend), and any other TLC my vehicles need. Give them a shot, you'll thank me later! Nice and friendly staff. Went in for inspection and was said the brakes need replacement including rotor. No probs, I like to support local businesses and thought let them fix it even though I could have easily done it me self. Estimate given was ~$1100. I got new parts off market for ~$300. $800 for less than 2hrs of work seems a bit too steep imo. Being said that, the staff is courteous and professional. Not fully their fault, yelp should allow businesses to mark their services with $$$$ like premium restaurants. I won't mind going in to Davico's when I need ultra premium luxury brakes. read more

I drove up to Philadelphia form out of town and unfortunately during the drive my 2007 Ford Focus started to make this awful sound. I found D'vico's on yelp and gave them a call first thing in the morning. Ash answered the phone and said they were booked but she would see what she could do to fit me in her schedule. I dropped my car off and I immediately knew I was in good hands. I got to meet the owners and I could tell this was the type of family owned business I could depend on to give me an honest repair at a fair price. They dropped me off in time for me to get my meeting and when the repair was done the next day they delivered my car off where I was working that week so I could get on the road at a reasonable time! Not only was the repair performed at a fair price, my car sounded better than it did before it started making the original sound that brought me to D'Avico's in the first place. The only downside I can think of about these guys is that if you happen to have a Dallas Cowboys cell phone case they will give you a hard time about it :) read more

BEWARE ! If I could rate a 0 I would have. After a series of incidents where I thought I was being taken advantage of, I finally hit the wall. What started as an amicable relationship a few years ago has culminated in "enough is enough." This latest (and now last) incident finally broke the camels back. They tried to tell us a series of repairs were necessary to pass inspection and since I had been skeptical of prior "recommended" repairs, I decided to take it to the dealer for a 2nd opinion. I outlined all of the $700+ of recommended Devico repairs to the dealer mechanic and asked him if he agreed. To top it off, if he agreed, I would given him the business for his troubles. He called me and told me no such repairs were necessary. Even knowing that I would have paid him, he said nothing was even close to what Devico's had told me. Devico's actually told me the car was "not drivable" in its current condition. I told you I had a feeling going back and my instinct was right. You can do yourself a favor and find an honest garage nearby like I did. BEWARE! read more

Today was my first visit to D'Avico's Auto Repair today and I was super impressed. I was referred to the shop by the local Tesla store. I felt comfortable bringing my car there because of this recommendation and I'm glad I did. Ashley is hyper-focused on customer service and very knowledgeable and nice. The waiting room has free wifi and coffee and cookies, comfortable clean couches and a clean bathroom. While I was there, I spoke with two other customers were long-time customers and only had great things to say. Definitely would recommend to anyone. read more

Yesterday I took my car into D'avico's Auto Repair because the automatic locks on my car were possessed with a rogue demon. I can't go parking my car in Philly when the carlocks keep spazzing out, now can I? So I was kind of hard pressed to take it someplace while at work in Radnor and this was the closest place. Note to self: proximity to one's self is not excellent criteria by which to select a mechanic. About a half hour after I dropped off my sad whip-piece, the guy called me back to say that it would be $200 dollars. Anytime I've ever taken my car to get looked at they call to confirm before you are charged and unless their hourly rate is a bajillion dollars, this just doesn't jibe. I ask him what the problem was and he doesn't know because he "could only drive it for 15 minutes and couldn't really get into all that circuitry." His recommendation was to just turn off the module that powers my automatic locks. Wait a minute, so you want me to pay you $200 dollars to actually remove a feature from my car, reducing its overall functionality? Where's the hidden camera?? You're not going to do any official repair work for that mola!?! He continues and claims that he performed a complimentary service check on my vehicle--er, by "complimentary" do you mean $200? And he was able to deduce during said checkup that my car needed new front brakes, rotors, emergency brake pivots, transmission fluid service, factory radiator hoses, a coolant flush, and a tag light replaced. When picking up the hoopty, I asked him for an itemization of how the total had been calculated and got a completely different story from what he had told me before. He claimed they did all this diagnostic work and circuitry investigation that took almost two hours. Exsqueeze me, then how did you know what the total would be when you called me only 45 minutes after I dropped it off? I dropped the issue and just sucked it up because that's what girls are expected to do in these situations. I don't know enough about cars to contest any charges effectively, but I am aware of common business practices enough to know when I'm being ripped off. And I really effing hate it when car repair places prey on that. Most likely he knew I might not be a repeat customer anyway because I live in the city and took advantage where he could and made a quick buck. EPIC WIN for him. I'm down one. Way over priced. I also got charged $200 just for them find out why my engine light was on. Not to fix it, just to check it. I went and did this before at Meinke and it was free. It ended up being the oxygen sensor. For a new one, them to "check" it and state inspection my bill ended up being over $600 total!?!? YIKES! Their oil changes are over $40. Meinke is $20. What a wonderful experience! So nice! They provided me with a link to a breakdown of the issues with my car by severity. Then a cost break down, all online! They talked me through everything, very transparent not trying to trick me into something I didn't need. They were very fast at getting it done, they Cleaned my dash and vacuumed the wells! And then dropped my car off back at my work so when I was done I was able to drive myself home no figuring out a ride here or there. Their prices seems fair, especially for being in the mainline. I think the true measure of a service provider is displayed when a customer shows up with his/her back against the wall. My check engine light came on (accompanied by a horrifying engine shudder) as I happened to be in Wayne on an errand. My family was away, and I was leaving the next day for a 10-day trip to Italy. I needed a place that could take the car RIGHT THEN and deal with an extended absence. I quickly searched Yelp and was happy to see the reviews of a place right up Lancaster Ave. I had no idea what was wrong with the car, or if the seriousness might warrant scrapping it. Also, knowing I wouldn't be back for 10 days almost guaranteed I'd be paying a storage fee. This was gut-wrenching anxiety. Ashley, as D'Avico's was calming and reassuring. She offered me a loaner car, or a ride back home to Bala Cynwyd. She kept in touch by text (despite our time differences) and let me abreast of the progress as they ran diagnostics and explored the most cost-effective means to repair the problem. In the end, it cost about $2000, but that was a far cry from the $4K + it might have been. They were very fair, and honest. I would recommend them to anyone, and will drive the extra 1/2 hour to use them for my future automotive needs. read more

I found D'Avico's on Yelp. My car started to make a REALLY bad grinding noise coming from my back brakes. I also had an oil leak that needed to be taken care of so I started searching. Ashley, I think, was really awesome to deal with. She got me a ride home while the car was being worked on, kept me up-to-date about the status of the car, even had the car dropped off to my apartment when it was finished. It turns out something broke in the rear brakes and the pieces of it were caught in drums. The brake pads were fine, just the hardware needed to be replaced. D'Avico's could very well have just told me the that the brakes needed to be replaced too but they didn't. They were very honest about what needed to be done. They also offered me a total engine cleaning to search for more oil leaks but I had to decline that as money is very tight right now and I didn't want the bill to be too big. The Mechanic, Tim, even texted me a few days later to make sure everything was still okay. They did a great job on my car and I will return when I need more services. read more

Just got my car inspection done today at Davico's. It was about 70$ in total. The Yelp reviews are spot on!! Ashley at front desk was a delight to talk to . I dropped off my car in the morning and Tim gave me a ride to the station. They do pick up's too. They keep you in the loop throughout the day, they also sent me a report of all the tests done. I just moved to the area from out of state, and am skeptical when it comes to my vehicles getting serviced. I had the pleasure of getting my 20" tires installed at D'Avico's after choosing it carefully through yelp reviews. From the minute I got here, I felt welcomed... I had walked the wrong way, and was greeted by a mechanic, who was very polite and walked me around to the main entrance. Inside I was greeted by Ashley, who was more than happy to help me, and assured me that I would get fresh baked cookies in about 10 minutes. "I Love Cookies", so maybe the cookies got it the 5th star, but definitely a great experience, and I am confident that they did a great job with servicing my Range Rover, and will definitely use D'Avico's again. read more

I cannot say enough great things about this place. I first discovered them through a networking organization and took my car in to get new tires. They are friendly, have fresh baked cookies in their office, a comfortable waiting room with wifi and they are in such a convenient location in Wayne PA! My most recent experience with them was when I was in a pinch and had a nail in my tire in the middle of my crazy work day. I texted them and called to confirm I could take my car there. Ashley told me to bring it right in! While they couldn't get to the car right away, (which is expected) they put me in a nice clean loaner car so that I could still continue along with my busy work day. They called me a few hours later to let me know what the issue with my tire was and also asked me about other recommended services. I agreed to the additional work (oil change, nitrogen in my tires, and a few lights that were out) and they told me I could keep the loaner overnight and that my car would be ready the next morning. When I arrived the next day, my car was well cared for and parked up front waiting for me to pickup. I thanked them, gave Ashley a big squeeze and took a cookie for my ride to the next meeting. I just experienced the best customer service ever!!! Taking your car to the shop usually comes with anxiety because you never know the outcome. HOWEVER... I just had a 10 star experience!!! Ashley greeted me when I walked in as she remembered me calling from the day before. She explained what they were going to do and walked me to their customer lounge. This lounge was well equipped with WiFi, magazines, coffee with all of the fixings, water, sofas and FRESH BAKED COOKIES!!! She kept me updated throughout, explaining things along the way. They had me ready in about an hour. Ashley walked me out to my car... When I got in, I thought I had gotten in the wrong car because it was clean and smelled good... they freshened up my car and put all of my "junk" in a box. Who are these people??? .
