It was decided as a result of the construction of those underwater and underground powerlines that apartment should be built here so everyone can enjoy this amazing view. This place is really popular all throughout the year. You can come here in the summertime to enjoy spectacular sunsets more in the winter time to enjoy that ferocity of the northwesterly wins with the latest storm. For those who are feeling a little more daring you can tackle the 326 step staircase that leads all the way down to the beach. And if you're feeling really up to it you can walk along the beach all the way to the ferry terminal. That will give your legs a good work out after eating a burger on the ferry ride. My only criticism of this location is that it is really small. But even in recent years the municipality of Delta has added more bike racks and new picnic tables.

The paths are almost all flat, easy, wide and well marked. Can be a quite deserted/quiet on weekdays. One thing I don't like about this park is how isolated the main parking lot feels on weekdays. Signs indicate car break-ins are an issue. I don't think I'd feel safe coming alone as a female if it was a weekday or if it wasn't bright. But a very nice and walkable park on bright, sunny days w friends/family.

We didn't loop into the Canyon due to the light drizzle and muddy conditions. We got to the drinking station and water tower before heading back. Another reason to cut short the walk was the lack of washroom facilities in the park. The trails were popular and we saw many people here with their dogs or mountain biking. Parking is along the road, with several different entrances into the park.

There is a Waterpark, Playground, Bike Park, Sandy Area with Volleyball nets, and Tennis Courts in this surrounding area as well! Also, South Surrey Recreation & Arts Centre offers tons of exercise and sport classes along with their large gym facility. It's great to walk around and see all the sport events happening or walk your dog (leashed) on a big open field. I really wish you could take them off-leash but no can do doggo. But there's an amazing Off-leash Dog Park near by - Dogwood Park! Plenty of free parking around the area as well! Public washrooms available at the South Surrey Recreation & Arts Centre and Rotary Club Centre. Overall, such a great part of South Surrey to get your heart racing and muscles pumping! Once the lot is full, there is very little (if any) street parking anywhere in the vicinity. I was told to go very early (0730) to guarantee a spot, and even at that point the lot was over half full. The park itself is basically one giant sloped area. There is a picnic gazebo, a flat outdoor area, and a kids' playground. Then there is the nice beautiful view of the water and surrounding area. Facilities are available just a few minutes S by the kayak club. Not sure if I'd come here just for the park, but it is worth checking out if one is already here for Quarry Rock.

It was dry, because South Surrey and White Rock never seems to get as much rain as Vancouver and North Vancouver. From there we walked down the beachside trail with whitecaps and windsurfers on one side, and gorgeous beachside cottages on the other. I was glad to be wearing a good windbreaker because a mighty wind blows in off Boundary Bay. This is a popular beach area in the summer, but it's a good place for a flat, easy walk in the winter, too. You can go quite a ways along the trail, tracing the shoreline, or just a quick and out and back before dark.

Its a mirror of the downtown coal harbour seawalk. It has a pretty nice stretch from one end to the other. So what's interesting here: -There are hammocks set up for people to relax -There are sun loungers that flip from one end to the other depending where you want to face -Volleyball courts for small gatherings -A nice green area for people who just want to sit in the sun -A kids play area -A nice path for walkers like me. This is a very well laid and thought through park. Lots of design ideas has been put into it. I am impressed.

There are many sun loungers which can be flipped to face the other direction. There are a few swings for children and toddlers. It incorporated a bit of history in the entire park. There are basketball court, volleyball court and an urban beach. There is also a patch of greenery where yoga classes are conducted, and all are welcome. The concession stand is open during summer, great for a quick snack or an ice cream cone. Benches are everywhere for you to relax and enjoy the view of the Fraser River. It is a nice easy walk. Plus if you are still into Pokemon Go, there are gyms and pokestops around too.
