There's many spots where there is benches to sit and some picnic tables as well so it's a nice spot to go during the summer time to hang out. It's not overly busy compared to some other parks so that's really nice. They do have a small playground for anyone with young children. Plus ample parking around (either street parking or actually small parking lots). The also have small bridges or platforms (not sure if this is the correct term) that go out in to the water that people can walk on to. Just be aware of all the geese and birds though. There's a ton of them here. They won't bother you if you just leave them alone as well.

There are two parking lots at opposite sides or you can also parking along the street. There are table tennis tables where you can play for free. The paddles and balls are kept in a box where you need to download an app to borrow them. Pretty neat. Despite signs indicating no fishing, I saw kids and families fishing from the two platforms at each side. I overheard someone asking a boy how many fish he caught and what he did with them. The boy said he released the fish back into the lake. The park can get busy at times with people relaxing on the benches and grass. There are ducks and geese around.

Crescent Park - What a great overall park!…read more Lots of perks here: Two entrances on either side of the park with large parking lots. A huge field for lots of activities and a separate large field dedicated for sports. Huge, long wooden picnic tables with a roof to shield you from rain or sun. Some smaller picnic tables scattered throughout the park. Plenty of benches to sit scattered around the park. A pond with plenty of ducks. A large playground. Plenty kms of paved paths to walk throughout. Dogs allowed on leash. The forested path is a highlight, lots of great trees and lush forested grounds to make you feel like you're somewhere else and not in the city. Also, really close to Crescent Beach and Blackie Spit Park. Overall, a favourite new park of mine! I visited during December, so I can definitely see this place being very busy in the warmer months but still a great park!

Stumbled this little place by an accident but I'm so glad…read more First off: the area is super nice. Stunning massive homes. Some are gated. Most are just stunning. Massive beach. You can use the scenic way all the way into downtown. Beautiful drive! Now the park: it's an off leash dog park. I haven't been to any off leash dog parks in Canada except for Whistler. It's a gorgeous dog beach Baci and I love going for swim. Just take about .6 hours drive. Way too far. So glad to have found this. It's a beautiful, hikable dog beach. Baci had so much fun swimming, he went straight to the deep end while most dogs stay on land. He also had fun stealing sticks :P Trick was getting him to leave. He didn't want to at all. The paths are narrow and when it gets busy it's not good for biking. I think part of the park is off leash but not exactly sure about that. It is a dog park though. It has a nice view of the Fraser River and has a bit of a beach, but again for playing fetch with your dog and stuff like that, not really for sunbathing or anything. There are also a few piers that are kinda cool. There is a small parking lot and lots of roadside parking. Like I said, it's ok if you wanna come for a walk, walk your dog or even have a picnic. Not sure if I saw any picnic tables but there are benches.

Part One We arrived and parked within the main parking lot…read moredirectly in front of the area by the Pier, just before 9:30 am yesterday. A first-time experience for my lady and I to the Park - the daughter had been there a couple of times before, but a good while ago. Daughter and I had plans to walk the Park's walkaways and trails, and Mom to stay behind, to take in the views near the pier and surrounding areas, waterfowl activities, and generally to enjoy her time outside in the warm sunshine and fresh air of the beautiful morning we had on the go. A visit to the 'Recreational Pier' was first on the walking agenda. The walk out on the structure offered views of the pier itself (lined from one end to the other, with colourful flowered-planters, and benches to sit and take in sights), and views of the water and mudflats below (with lots of waterfowl resting and feeding), several boats, the boat launching area, and full extent views of both sides of Burrard Inlet as seen at this location. A splendid start to our morning walks. Second on the walking agenda was the walkway along the shoreline, to the start of the 'Shoreline Trail'. We did not make any stop in between -- at the 'Playgrounds', or picnic lunching areas -- just caught some rather distant views, we had forested-trails on our minds. The walkway itself though, offered a very plesant, well-treed walk, with several good viewing spots of the Inlet along the route. We walked with no stops other than enough time along the way to view, catch, and capture some of the natural sights. Part Two Walking the 'Shoreline Trail'. We continued our walk, and when we reached the entrance(s) to the 'Shoreline Trail' we headed left into the route closest to the actual shoreline. This took us into a well-groomed dirt, walking only trail. The route to the right was a paved roadway, and much more popular with family groups, and such. The route taken was definitely 'the' right one for us, and we sure enjoyed it. Heavily-forested, mostly flat, with only a couple of 'stair walks' up slopes, some interesting boardwalks over wet areas, and several lookout spots to stand or sit, and view the sights of the inlet along the way. We walked as far as a smaller trail off the main trail that took us inland, up and into the 'Noons Creek Hatchery' site. After an interesting stop and visit there (review forthcomcoming), we returned to the main trail, and walked back to Rock Point. Next on the walking agenda -- Part Three - walking to the end of 'Shoreline Trail' (soon, I hope!).

This beach was so much better than Kitsilano and Third Beach because it wasn't crowded and felt…read moremuch cleaner. Parking was easy (either on the street or there is paid parking) and it was so nice to relax and not worry about the crowd. I'd highly recommend coming here.

Jericho Beach is a nice walk in nature, including a nice view of the city as well as English Bay…read more It wasn't the cleanest when we visited, but it was a nice retreat from busier streets. There's a trail to follow for dog walking and jogging. Along the way, there may even be geese and rabbits. There's also a little cafe, though it was a tad difficult to find. My friend and I found it a tad cold, but people there were people in the water and in dresses - built different!

Wow, this place is amazing! You get beautiful, expansive views of the area and the water from atop…read morethe cliffs, and then you can walk down to the beach to access the ocean. During low tide, you can make your way down to a nearby small rocky island and hike around. Do note that this park gets really busy. When I visited over the weekend, the carparks were all full and people were parking alongside the small road that winds up the park. As there's no footpath or pavement alongside the road, it means that you have to walk or drive carefully to avoid any crashes. There is also an interesting collection of people here, from social media influencers performing full on photoshoots (with portable outfit changing areas) to people having err...rather intimate moments, you could find interest in watching both the animals and the humans who gather here. Also, the cafe here uses AI images on their menu...For me that's minus a star in addition to the other drawbacks I mentioned.

This is a pretty nice beach, not usually too crowded and lots of I think pay parking now even…read morethough it will be busy on weekends and holidays, It's on Marine Dr along the same side as Jericho and Spanish Banks. They have volleyball nets here and you can also have barbecues here as well. The concession stand is open seasonally and there are restrooms as well. This is a nice place just to chill, take a walk, people watch, ride your bike or whatever.......

One of the nicer and less crowded stretches of beach along the NW Marie Drive area…read more Parking is somewhat available along NW Marine as well as the side streets. The trick is to come early. Spots do free up during the day though. There is a grassy area as well as the sandy beach area, separated by a path. As of the time of writing, liquor can be consumed on the grassy area. Unlike the adjacent area (volleyball area to the W, and sailing centre to the E), this area is pretty chill, which is nice. Great place to hold gatherings and BBQs.
