At the time of car drop-off I was told that the price was $190 + tax (which should have been only on parts, labor cost should be exempt). However, when I came to pick up my car the invoice stated the final price at $230, which included some additional fees not mentioned over the phone. Additionally, they charge 2.75% surcharge for the card service even for a debit card transaction. When I mentioned that this isn't legal in the US the guy said that he didn't care. My recommendation is to always ask for an out of the door price preferably in writing.

Upon taking the car to a muffler shop, we're shocked to learn that the crossmember (underneath the car) is completely rusted with several holes. The new shop cannot believe that a reputable transmission shop put a new transmission into this car, as it's unsafe to drive and the engine can fall out at anytime.
