Came here for a Mommy&Daughter date before Christmas, I've been here before and it is better than I remember! I had 2 drinks which were so good, and my burger was fantastic! Was looking up holiday bars to visit on our trip to Chicago and was satisfied to see that this place didn't charge an entry fee unlike many others in the area. They really went all out with their Elf theme. From the hanging elf legs on the ceiling, to the elf table clothes, and even caddy's of maple syrup at each table to reference the movie. There are two bar areas on front and one in the back. For more holiday experience, I was just sitting in the back area, the ambience will definitely put you in the mood. We ordered holiday drinks as well as just regular hot chocolate and had to order of loaded nachos. All the drinks hit the spot and appropriate if you're looking for an outing with your friends during the holiday season this is it. If you attend on Sunday, I will suggest coming early due to the Football games that are playing in the bar. It gets pretty busy. There is on street parking. I came at a terrible day where they had a bar hopping event and closed off this bar to the general public unless you had a wristband. After getting a wristband, I came inside and they did not even offer their typical menu food items, just a breakfast buffet. The buffet was okay, they only offered 4 things, I'm just disappointed. Ambiance was spot on. It was really festive and decked out filled with fake snow, signs from the movie, and the TVs had the movie playing as well. I think the drink prices were a bit steep for what was offered. Due to the area, competition nearby, and Christmas time; I can see why it was priced the way it was. My friends were up front and they kept getting passed up by other people. Not sure what that was about. Were not aggressive so not sure that had a lot to do with it. HORRIBLE!! Diana pretended to act like a manager but was just a clueless, rude individual trying to play hero for her equally awful server coworker. Instead of resolving issues, she came across as a condescending, defensive, and completely unprofessional mess. If this is the best they have for management, it's no wonder the whole place is a disaster. The service was atrocious. Our server ignored us for nearly half an hour, and when they finally showed up, they acted like we were inconveniencing them. They didn't even acknowledge our drink orders properly--apparently, if you're not ordering alcohol, you're not worth their time or effort. When we mentioned this to Diana, she brushed it off and made excuses like it wasn't a big deal. Here's a tip: If your customers can't even get basic respect while ordering a drink, maybe don't work in hospitality. The cherry on top of this nightmare? The security guard got involved and THREATENED US WITH JAIL TIME. For what? Complaining about the laughably bad service? The intimidation tactics were completely out of line and downright scary. At that point, it felt like we were being bullied just for expecting the bare minimum of decency. Avoid this place like the Grinch avoids joy. From bad service to worse management to security guards acting like wannabe cops, this was a trainwreck from start to finish. Went on Sunday night around 9:00. Waited in line for about 15 minutes and after about a dozen people left the bouncer came out and said we were wasting out time because they shut down the bar. A long line of people were leaving at that point and when we asked tbe doorman what did he mean that they shut down the bar he got all mad and said he was going to waste his time talking to us.
