What an awesome bar in Benson. I don't even know how to explain the décor so I included a photo and you can decide for yourself. There is a lot going on, but somehow it all works. We stopped in on a Thursday around 6pm and it was pretty quiet...in fact no music was playing and I always find that to be awkward. Thankfully, that was remedied quickly and we were able to enjoy our very strong Old Fashioneds. The seating we selected was very comfortable. You can choose a spot in a cozy nook, place a group on some of their couches or sit up front and watch the Benson activity via floor to ceiling windows.

I was excited to try this place with my wife, decided to visit on a Friday night. Sat at the bar for a glass of wine (originally planned for more, but ended up just having a glass). It's very nice inside, I would call it classy eccentric. It is well done and tasteful, but is also a bit quirky at the same time. Very nice bar with seats, some tables, and lots of big comfy chairs. The bartended was quite and didn't really engage us or offer up much advice. Everyone also seemed to be "members" inside, which made the place seem a bit stuffy. I would consider going back for another try, but wouldn't go out of my way. If you're a wine-o, maybe you'll love this type of place...if you're a casual wine drinker, there's plenty of other bars with a few wines to choose from that are much more inviting and fun.

Very relaxing place to unwind / meet with friends. They are one of two places that sell the rose I love! Great place in the benson area!

Anyone remember Mr C's? This came from there!

I enjoyed the feel of the place and loved the live plants. I looked at the menu, that I grabbed on the way through and decided upon a vanilla latte. You go upfront to the counter and order. I was very tempted by one of their pastries, but I just decided to have the latte until I could decide what I wanted to eat for breakfast. Everyone was so nice and even brought a carafe of water to my table, since I was hobbling around with a cane (I'm waiting for my hip surgery). I was so delighted to see a beautifully decorated latte; in a simple white shallow mug, delivered direct to my table. I ended up ordering a light breakfast...one egg over medium, and some sourdough toast, with butter and their lovely jam. Everything was done perfectly, and the jam was divine. I will definitely be back again and next time I want to try some of their delectable baked goods with my latte.

This place taught me a thing or two about vegetables, which delighted all of our senses, and I highly recommend trying a variety of their small plates. This is worth a few minute detour. If you live here, well then, lucky you! Our servers carefully detailed the menu and let us taste a new wine prior to ordering. The dinner service manager is knowledgeable and passionate about the dining experience. When we ordered the radicchio salad, I was skeptical that it would be bitter, but was curious to try it. My husband and I could have fought over it--it was that good! The cauliflower was roasted perfectly, and sat upon a sweet and spice infused puree called mahummara with crunchy pine nuts. The complexity of spices compelled us to try another bite, and then another... Roasted carrots are tender and sweet. Paired with cool yogurt and chili crunch, they ascend into another level of deliciousness. A tear of fresh bread across bits of remaining sauce, and then (not a minute sooner) "we are satiated, thank you!" and the server can take the plate. The restaurant is adjacent to a theater that shows unique offerings and they will sometimes coordinate events with menus. We liked the simple cafe style tables and openness. Ample parking is available in back.

Whoever owns this place must be quite pleased with their work. I appreciate the black clothing worn by them. It's a look I favor. It's especially great when one's partner is at the nearby salon. The sangria was tasty and refreshing, but the tacos were just okay. The side salad was fresh and enjoyable, but I felt the tacos had a bit too much coleslaw, which overpowered the other flavors. After eating, we headed up to the rooftop for a few more drinks. The space is large, has a great atmosphere, and the music was enjoyable. Parkings always a bitch in Benson, but if ya go early enough, maybe it won't be so bad! Will definitely be back to eat in the inside versus their patio (which is excellent!) next time.
