It seems to me that one of the employees should assist with that. I complained to the manager and she 100% agreed with me. Update: I visited this HD location last week and it was greatly improved. One employee was very helpful and got a larger dolly cart for me to carry bags of heavy garden soil. Also, the cashier was a bit more engaged than I've experienced in the past. Prices have increased as of late March 2026 but I don't suppose that HD's fault.

I did everything possible to avoid issues -- I confirmed timelines with my salesperson, Drew, to avoid a price increase and followed up with a call. Despite that, my quote increased. After some back and forth, they did honor the original price -- but the problems didn't stop there. Drew failed to place the order, even though I had submitted it and paid in full. That delay caused major availability issues, forcing me to purchase a more expensive microwave just to stay on schedule. When I needed to change one appliance, it took weeks just to get an updated proposal. I shared my install deadline well in advance, because I had out-of-town carpenters coming specifically to install the appliance panels. House of Appliances never got back to me in time, and I missed the window. Now I have to pay extra to get the panels installed later. To make matters worse, the refrigerator drawers and wine refrigerator arrived damaged. I was told they could be repaired -- but I paid full price, and I will not accept repaired appliances. These units are required for my Certificate of Occupancy and panel installation, and I still have no resolution. I even contacted a manager and have yet to receive any help. This kind of service is unacceptable.

We asked if we could still browse their showroom. Drew immediately welcomed us and then proceeded to spend nearly an hour going over all the appliances we were looking for: ovens, dishwasher, refrigerator, etc. All the while knowing there would be no eventual sale. Drew Meltz is the best appliance salesperson we have ever met, hands down. He is supremely knowledgeable about his products, patient, cordial and a real pleasure to work with. We used to get our appliances repaired through GE because all of our kitchen appliances are GE and at first, they were all under warranty but as the warranty ran out, being long distance and all, we just kept using GE. First of all, why our GE Monogram appliances that we spent a lot of money on kept needing repairs was the first issue, but the next issue was that sometimes, they sent technicians that were completely incompetent. After dealing with one technician that kept calling someone to give him help over the phone, trying to work on the oven while it was still connected to power (and actually electrocuted himself), ordering wrong parts and having to come back to our house numerous times, we finally decided to look for someone else and my husband found Smart Choice Appliance. From the first visit, Luke was very professional, knowledgeable and fixed the mess the GE technician left behind. Since then, Luke has been our go-to guy. Him and his staff are easy to deal with remotely, their fees are very fair and Luke is very honest. When you first call them, they will ask you questions to see if maybe it's not even a repair issue - something that can easily be resolved. And once Luke comes out and diagnoses the issue, he will honestly tell you your options. Sometimes those options will mean that he doesn't make any money, but he believes may be the best solution for you. As long distance landlords, we are so thankful that we have Luke to call when we have issues.

They fixed it for literally enough time for me to write a check, then their repair failed. The mechanic came back into the house and said I needed a part. Owner said, next day. Nada. Then the owner stopped answering the phone. I had another company fix the oven. They we're great. Told me the first company used a bunch of electrical tape to try to keep a switch open, when the correct fix was to replace it. Stay away from this company. Shun them as if they have the plague.
