When Tom and Ben arrived, they introduced themselves with handshakes and smiles, and then Tom proceeded to not miss a beat: he roll on the ground under the partially open door, assessed the situation within minutes, popped up standing on the other side to explain what he and Ben were going to do. The door was bent, the track was bent, and several wheels were dangling. We, for sure, thought we had to replace the whole door. Not at all. In less than an hour, the two remarkably trained, seasoned technicians, had our door repaired with 10 new wheels, 2 new sets of cables, and 2 new metal corner door plates for an exceedingly reasonable cost! If you are stumbling upon this on yelp, this is also Danny's garage door repair 101 on google just…read moreso you know, they are one in the same. They possibly go by many other names. Just a heads up. There is a garage door scam happening that many fall victim to and it's making national news. Had them out and they tried to triple charge my grandmother who is a widower. If she had not called me to ask if $1200 was too much for a garage spring, they would have taken advantage of her. She said a man arrived in an unmarked vehicle, in street clothing with minimal equipment in the back of his truck. He was jittery and off. Upon further investigation (Family law) we discovered that Danny's appears to be an routing center through Google with potential fake reviews. They change numbers often and what our investigative research has shown is, likely run by several and this racket spans across many state. It is highly probable they are fronting google reviews appearing to be a large and well rated garage door company that is local, when in fact they do have local people this is not a grass roots company. Alongside this discovery, it is also believed that they work without insurance and don't back the work. They also are known to try and upsell warranty sales which is basically worthless. We have the persons info who stopped out and I was able to get the license plate and identifying info should we need to dig deeper. Taking advantage of seniors is very serious and would be a great story for Chanel 19 news!
