So we called around and got about 7 estimates. We chose to go with BLC roofing after listening to their proposal, and we are SO glad that we did. They tore off the old roof, replaced sheeting where necessary, and installed a new Owens Corning roof. They also tore down and replaced the gutters throughout the house. They did all of this VERY quickly, professionally, and at a fair price. We have a great looking, structurally sound and dependable roof now, along with seamless gutters. Louis and crew worked 12+ hours the first day and finished in 5 hours 2 days later. Beautiful work, professional, friendly crew. Prompt acquisition of materials from out of state so scheduling was quick. Cost was same as estimate. Minor problem with discoloration on two shingles and new worker replaced them a couple weeks later without a hitch. Sales rep always answered phone when questions arose, though e-mailing was variable. Be sure to request wood platform under dumpster if placed on your drive since this is not a given. Follow up to be sure all parties (project manager, sales rep, work crew) are on the same page with specific plans (e.g., shed work). Another request I would make, for safety, is to not have workers on roof for a good hour + after pitch dark, esp. since they had to come back to finish anyway. Overall very happy.
