I purchased the 90 minute beach side massage for $180 ($260 CAD, yeah, fuck, I know) and it was worth every penny. The beach side massage actually takes place in a little hut at the Kumu Kamp (spelling), but it's super cool. IT's so relaxing you don't even mind the roosters. The birds and the ocean are amazing and poor KAtie had her work cut out for her with my calves and feet. Oi oi oi. I had the most amazing Lomi Lomi (which btw, isn't for the faint of heart, you be movin around), but it makes you feel like a million bucks. Angela and Stephanie were great masseuses. The 4 of us requested deep tissue massages. I worked with Stephanie who focused on the areas of need as well as my whole body. I usually prefer a very deep tissue massage and she was able to provide it! My aunt and cousin enjoyed Angela's stretching techniques. They relayed that she was able to manipulate their muscles very well and seemed quite in-tune with the body. My bestfriend & I took a Kauai vacation for the sole purpose of seeking some much needed relaxation & time to clean our energy and any lingering negativity from our recent breakups. I requested the cupping/massage combo with abdominal massage with Angela & my Bestfriend tom booked a lomi lomi massage with Katie . The compound: day our massage we rolled up to their beach side bungalow location which is like a highend camping ground with little open aired free-standing cottages where the ocean winds blow through. Super clean, cozy and ultra comfy massage tables which have well layered blankets to keep you warm in case the breeze is too chilly. Angela & Katie welcomed us...they're both extremely warm & good hearted souls. You can just tell right off the bat. THE TREATMENTS: My cupping/massage & abdominal massage: 90 minute treatment. Angela was my therapist. First off she was unbelievably personable, endearing and has a calm about her that instantly makes u feel at home. I NEED really deep massages because I have back problems and constant pain. I can't stand masseuses that do light massages where they're barely touching you and barely paying attention lol. Angela was the opposite in every way. She's a thin girl but she is so strong!!! Not only that, she's incredibly in tuned with the massage, taking her time to really find the knots and spots which need the most attention. I don't think I've ever had a therapist that was as in tune as she. BOTTOM LINE, THIS WASNT YOUR BASIC MASSAGE, IT WAS AN EXPERIENCE & a very healing one at that. 15 min into the massage I told her I was in love with her. Hahaha. But it was THAT good. After my appointment I felt like 100 pounds had been lifted off my shoulders. My best friends Lomi Lomi: my Bestfriend tom prefers only super hard pressure deep tissue massages. And like me, he was weary about whether or not the girls would be able to really provide that type of deep massage. But he was happily surprised as well. He said that his masseuse Katie gave him hands down the best massage he's ever gotten & commented on how impressed he was that such a small girl could be so strong! Lol. WE LOVE ANGELA & KATIE SO MUCH that we scheduled ANOTHER 90 minute session for the following day! Which WAS EQUALLY AS AMAZING. Angela has a wonderful, soothing, healing touch. I like higher pressure massages and she was able to provide that without any pain, just good intensity. She was careful of my injuries and really soothed me before my long flight home. Angela took a little time at the beginning to ask me what was ailing me and then spent the next 90 minutes making it all better. I had sprained my ankle and she was gentle with it and put some noni on it and it felt great for hours and hours. My boyfriend and I came her for massages on his birthday during our vacation to Kauai. We did the beach option and were pleased with our massages and the whole experience. I will note that the massages do not take place directly on the beach. They are in a tent like cabin several yards from the beach. (We were not aware of this when we booked) I had a good deep tissue and he really enjoyed his signature massage. The therapists were very friendly and accommodating. Our only complaint would be the expensive pricing. $265 + tip for a 60 minute couples massage (considering the venue) was a bit pricy...even for us coming from the Bay Area. This was one of the best deep tissue massages of my life. I've had other massage treatments while visiting Kauai and this was the best by far. During my 90 minute session, Angela was professional and attentive. She was firm where required and continually checked in with me. I have a lot of exercise related knots and she was extremely knowledgeable about how to address them. She and her acupuncture therapist bent over backward to fit us into their schedule on short notice. I'm not recommending that anyone expect that, it's just another point in her favor as a healthcare professional and kind person. My fiance had the Acu-Ssage which is a mix of massage and acupuncture. My family and vacationed last week in Kauai. We stayed at the Waipouli Resort in Kapaa. I wanted a massage therapist to be able to come in the evening after my young children had gone to bed. A LOMI LOMI MASSAGE from Elevate Wellness was the perfect way to end our short, yet crazy, escapade in Kauai! We were originally leaning towards the beach massage for two but we opted out due to the forecasted weather (winds!). We proceeded with the in-room massage at the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort. Despite the furniture arrangements, the room was still too tight for two massage beds. Nonetheless, Angela and Debra were very patient and accommodating. My boyfriend does a lot of heavy lifting at work while I deal with non-ergonomic desks at work and school. Angela and Debra did an amazing job with our problematic areas. Unlike many masseuse, they'll inquire about your preferences. I requested for medium pressure with more focus on my top right back / shoulder. I will admit, driving off into the hills of Kauai made us wonder what we were getting into but the location was quiet, clean, well defined as a massage studio and welcoming. My fiancé, Scott, and I are staying at the Marriott Vacation Club in Lihue and called Angela on a Monday and the following day she showed up promptly at our hotel room at 1pm. She was friendly, warm, and interested in knowing us and our needs. Immediately, she got to work and spent 90 minutes with each of us over the afternoon, working wonders. Scott says that she found every spot that needed work and "worked it" until it was free of any tension. I have had a tight jaw lately and she totally relaxed it....and everything else on my body. Elevate runs an efficient operation. They got me in quickly, which I appreciated. The owner called me promptly to schedule and they make it very easy to find the location by sending a thorough text with GPS and parking information. They provided water immediately before and after, super important, and a couple minutes to go over your needs, I arrived a bit earlier than suggested as not to cut into my 90 minutes. They also offer kamaaina 15% off which was unexpected and appreciated as massages can be expensive. But I'll tell ya, totally worth it. This is the second time I've been on a mission for a massage since living on Kauai. First time around I found a nice lady who had a great price, but she didn't really seem to care about helping me. But this Tracy really figured out my kinks quickly and knew right where to push, her pressure was excellent and she was VERY sweet and soft spoken, communicating just enough throughout. My only qualm was the lack of AC in the room, was a bummer at the start but it cooled down quickly with all the fans so not as big of a deal as I thot at first. Massage was more than your typical massage. My therapist used a technique that I had never heard of before. He shared it with me after the massage was over, called rolfing. Had a 60 minute beachside massage and couldn't be happier with my purchase. A lawn mower came by and ruined the zen for a little bit, but honestly I didn't even care because the massage felt so good. I let him know I had back surgery last year and was still experiencing some pain, and he worked around that area perfectly. They were able to accommodate a 60 min massage within the next hour. My therapist was Kore. The location is in a neighborhood and very easy to find with parking spot to pull into reserved for Elevate. Originally I asked for a Swedish because that's what I usually book but I'm glad I was open to a Lomi Lomi massage. Kore's has amazing technique and the pressure was perfect. I typically like medium pressure and have certain areas to focus. She really listened and I felt very relaxed. It was probably one of the best massages I've had.
