My wife and I got a couples beachside massage while on vacation! It was amazing! They had nice Hawaiian music playing, you could hear the waves, the wind in the palm trees and of course the chickens! I'm glad I read reviews first about the cabana being next to a bike path, but I only heard one skateboard go by and it was fine. I had Tracy and she had Josh. I developed tinnitus all of a sudden on this Kauai trip. I thought acupuncture would help, remembering how it helped my uncle with the same problem-regretfully it didn't, however the treatment I received by Laura was excellent. Tinnitus from what I read is extremely difficult to treat especially with just one visit. Laura was very compassionate and did everything possible to help alleviate the ringing in my ear. To put it into perspective, I have had almost every type of massage performed on me from practitioners around the world (as I travel for work), and I have to say that Angela's technique - if I can call it something as regimented as that - was the most intuitive, healing and just incredibly pleasurable. Unlike other masseuses, she wanted to get to the source of my body aches and after a brief conversation describing what felt out of whack in my body, she thoughtful investigated what could be other contributing factors - from physical: how i was exercising, sleeping, eating, to mental: stress levels, emotional state, etc. From there, she sought to find and work on all the areas of my body needing help and beyond, moving fluidly between areas that were connected in ways I didn't know! She not only soothed me, but showed me how to stretch in new ways. She is really strong, so is able to really work your muscles without being too painful and has the sweetest demeanor to make you feel right at ease but also that you are in very skilled hands. I have to admit that I am very picky when it comes to having a massage therapist work on me. I have worked for a chiropractor and was certified massage therapist & personal trainer back in the 90's while living in PA. So when I say that Angela is one of the BEST massage therapists I have found on island, I am not joking! I am a very active person who trains 6 days a week plus run my own business. I always choose the hour & 1/2 session which allows ample time for her to stretch and hit all the problem areas on my body (which are a lot). She is very attentive and in tune with the body and that makes a HUGE difference! The fact that she travels to you is a bonus. I work out of my home, so it is nice that I don't have to travel to get a massage after a long day in my office - especially after one of her massages! WOW is the best way to respond to the couple of massages we (my wife and I) received along with friends from Angela Babcock while recently visiting Kauai, HI. There are so many positive words and phrases that we could apply here, besides professional, thorough, intuitive, flexible, and sensitive to the particular needs and challenges of different individuals. For example, one of our party was extremely reluctant to have a message as she is older had a previously unsatisfactory massage experience and result. Angela successfully handled her concerns and special sensitivities. Also my wife experiences pain in several different locations, levels and types; Angela worked with and besides giving her a wonderful satisfying massage furthermore she left her with numerous recommendations for overall health and possibly reducing pain and feeling better. My personal experience was first rate. Her abilities and talents stand head and shoulders above the average or normal massage experience. Different from most I approach massage from a unique background as someone who attended chiropractic college years ago. So therefore, I have had various forms and types of massages over several decades, with both good and bad experiences. As a professional it would be inappropriate to describe her talents and abilities to use the term that she is say on an Olympic level, yet that description might give you some sense of how excellent her talents and abilities are. It is hard to comment on the level of therapeutics as I believe that many physical problems do not have a quick or silver bullet solution. The best forms seem to build toward a condition of health and physically feeling good. I will share that a friend of mine in our group, a retired commercial airline pilot. He had been experiencing pain and told that he had a pinched nerve in his neck and shoulder. After her first treatment he felt significantly better, and again after the second treatment. Her prices are very reasonable and she does her best to accommodate your schedule and location. Her methods, and techniques are first rate; bottom line, on a scale of one to ten, she definitely rates a 10 or in other words 5 stars.
