After recovering from a quadruple heart attack, I was assigned to Ethan with a goal to help get me back on my fitness track. He is great. Knowledgeable and knows how and when to push, I saw tremendous progress in a short time. I was particularly impressed with how he worked very hard to emphasize form and safety. It gave me much comfort knowing I was learning properly. All in all a great place to get fit.

I've reported this multiple times to management. I was told there is a "no photography" sign, but it's placed where it's easy to miss and clearly not effective. The behavior continues, and some members are dismissive when asked to stop. Crunch Fitness needs to take this seriously, move the signage to clearly visible areas (mirrors and entrances) and actively enforce the policy. Members deserve to feel safe in private spaces like locker rooms.

It honestly doesn't take much to make a gym great, but Bay Club feels stuck in the past. The men's locker room is gross and smells. There's a persistent musky odor that's hard to stomach, likely coming from old carpet that's clearly been there for years. The men's showers are equally bad, with hair everywhere, inconsistent cleanliness, and low water pressure, which makes the entire experience feel unhygienic and poorly maintained. The men's sauna is especially concerning. There appears to be little to no ventilation, creating a heavy, stagnant environment that can allow dangerous CO buildup. On top of that, the walls and benches in the sauna are extremely outdated, reinforcing the sense that this space hasn't been refreshed or properly maintained in a long time. The products provided (shampoo, conditioner, etc.) are low quality and full of questionable ingredients, which feels completely out of place for a club charging premium prices. The weight room is constantly messy, with plates scattered everywhere and mismatched equipment. It feels chaotic instead of intentional. The outdoor gym is another huge missed opportunity. With the space and climate, it could be incredible, but instead it feels underdeveloped and outdated. Overall, everything just feels old and complacent. There's so much opportunity here, yet it seems like no one is pushing to raise the standard. After experiencing what a well-run gym can be, this falls short. I was on the verge of closing my membership with how disgusting this gym used to be. My only issue still is with staff. So many Gen Y kids working here that don't do anything other than ignore members and stand around. Always on their phones and or yapping away with friends. 24 also needs to start directing their members to clean up after themselves (their style seems to be let members be as gross and lazy as they want). If you don't want to impose basic rules such as re-rack your weights then start hiring more staff to clean up after your lazy members on $20 plans to come here. I hope Carmel mountain 24 hour management sees this. Don't let the great remodel go down hill and return to the state it was in before.

Equipment is very well laid out - roomy, you never really face someone else working out, and if something is occupied you can usually find it somewhere else - several dumbbell niches to choose from, for example. Locker room is nice, I don't use it much tho and others likewise seem to just be in and out for a workout, so it never seems crowded at all. I do use the Black Card spa stuff and it's great. What a treat. I really look forward to it when I have the time. Being newly opened, I feel like everyone is invested in keeping the place nice - wiping down equipment, etc. It's a really good vibe. Great staff too. I switched from another neighborhood gym and it's truly a night-and-day difference. I go so much more and feel empowered to do more stuff. No classes here, which I thought was a bummer at first, but I'm finding I go more when it's on my own time and not a set schedule. Oh, and the parking is great! Angle-in spots instead of small straight ones. I never realized how much of a difference that makes but whatever makes the experience easy and nice just means I go that much more. It makes fitting the gym into my routine so much easier. From the beginning, the staff has been friendly, welcoming and helpful. Brandon especially made the whole process easy by taking the time to explain the membership options clearly and answer all of our questions. We really appreciated how patient and knowledgeable he was. I've already tried the yoga and aqua fitness classes and loved both of them. The atmosphere is really positive and motivating. The only challenge is that the gym can get pretty busy at certain times, so some of the equipment is often occupied. I'm still figuring out the best times to come in for a smoother workout experience. Very excited to try the newly opened Glute Room next, and maybe Pilates too. Really looking forward to continuing my fitness journey here!

Unfortunately, my experience with the account manager was disappointing. He did not introduce himself at the beginning of the call, and I had to ask for his name. As someone who was genuinely interested in rejoining, I expected a more welcoming and professional approach. I shared my history as a loyal member and explained that I was looking forward to coming back. However, the response I received felt transactional and dismissive. The tone came across as "this is the current deal -- take it or leave it," rather than an effort to understand my needs or build a relationship. The politeness and customer engagement that one would expect in a membership discussion were noticeably missing. As a returning customer, I hoped for a warmer interaction and a bit more effort in explaining options or acknowledging my previous loyalty. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I still believe in the value of LA Fitness but would appreciate a more customer-focused experience moving forward.
